I just hope she exists.
I think she does. Investigators may have asked her not to speak to the media if she is a valuable witness. I don't think she gave AM many details either, if she spoke to him at all. It's still not clear when the communication took place and when it suddenly ceased.

I think we will learn the mistakes were staggering.

Just look at that bike staging: Law enforcement knew very quickly that there was no bike ride.

Look at that alibi: It’s hilarious.

He didn’t even have to be sloppy to make countless mistakes, even though I believe he was.

Whether planned or unplanned, there are just too many things that can thwart you in the scenario he went with. Like Patrick Frazee, I believe BM over complicated things.

He’s told law enforcement a story, but technology will either prove or disprove it. It’s tough to overcome cell phone data, vehicle data, and surveillance footage.

He successfully hid a body in a geographic region that makes such a thing quite easy. I believe he’s just delayed the inevitable though:

Homicide charges.
Without a body murder trials are still rare. You need a specific type of evidence. Large amount of blood, bones, confession or witness. according to Andy LE found no signs of a struggle at the house Which I think rules out blood or bones. We now need to find either the body or for Barry’s accomplice to roll on him if there is one.

without that body, cell data, vehicle date, surveillance footage won’t help unless it leads to her body or he confessed.

The Donthe Lucas trial will be interesting To follow I bet they don’t have blood, bones, confession or witness, be interesting to see how they prove it.

The FBI’s database is maintained by the author in Behavioral Analysis Unit 4 and is updated periodically with new cases. This database is a work product owned by the FBI and used to assist law enforcement agencies working no-body homicide investigations. The information contained in the database was derived from numerous sources to include www.charleyproject.org/corpus/ list1.html, www.nobodycases.com, the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUS), and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
No-Body Homicide Cases: A Practical Approach | FBI: Law Enforcement Bulletin.

And another Reference-

For over 12 years I was an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia and I prosecuted homicide cases for most of those years. In January of 2006, I prosecuted the second “no body” murder case tried in D.C. and have been interested in “no body” cases ever since.

On this site I track “no body” murder cases, trials and investigations. My table of “No body” Murder Trials lists over 500 “no body” murder trials in the United States. I also have consulted, for free, with law enforcement agencies throughout the United States and Canada. If you know of a “no body” case, investigation, or trial, send me information on your case and I will be happy to add it to my table or tweet about it.

And - they live on acreage because they like their "privacy". Lot's of people like their privacy, nothing wrong with that. But there has been much speculation that the move to the Puma Path house had an alternate purpose. MOO.
Yeah, it’s weird. That guy had the same chip on his shoulder sort of demeanor that Barry has. I’m trying to think of all of the men, because none have been women, that have vouched for Barry. There was the fire chief friend, the hunting friend, and the drunk guy friend on social media. None of these guys seemed to be particularly candid or sincere. Or maybe I have a bias?

Prop. Stigmatized by Murder? Seller or R/E Agent Disclosure? Quotes from posts in last thread.
{{{ @happyday post 885, thread 44
“... my real estate license … learned in RE school that an agent MUST disclose any material fact about a property except pertaining to protected classes. A property with negative press=stigmatized =lower property value. So a buyer has to be made aware. Murder, child molestation, drug house all must be disclosed.... agents rarely win ... so it’s in best interest to disclose everything. Imagine if you bought … then found out after you closed. You could sue and win.”} }} bbm sbm
{{{ @Murphy1950 Post 889, thread 44
What is a Stigmatized Property? | Laws for all 50 States Disclosure appears to only be required in 3 states... a seller or real estate agent cannot lie when asked about stigmatizing facts or else they would be liable for fraud… }}} sbm
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:)Interesting posts from both of you.:) TYVM.
@happydays. Agreeing that best practice for agents is to disclose.
Are you comfortable sharing w us whether your r/e license is in CO? Also are there course materials you could share, perhaps a link or a screen shot or scan of a page? Per July 2019 linked below, some states specifically do not require disclosure re stigma, so maybe you are not in one of those states?

Quoting from article linked in @Murphy1950 post above, re CO.
“Facts pertaining to events which could “psychologically impact or stigmatize” a property are not subject to disclosure in Colorado. This includes murder, suicide, and any other felony which may have taken place.”
^ discusses variations of 'stigma' like murder, felony, paranormal activity, drug houses, HIV/AIDS, etc.

Quote from CO. statute:
(b) That the property was the site of a homicide or other felony or of a suicide.
“(2) No cause of action shall arise against a real estate broker or salesperson for failing to disclose such circumstance occurring on the property which might psychologically impact or stigmatize such property…”
Reference: Statute 38-35.5-101. 2016.

No 'stigma-disclosure' required for CO r/e agents seems quite straightforward, but may not be. I could be wrong or not thinking it through. jm2cts.
Sorry I am late responding. I am on the road—in Colorado actually—so am behind on the thread.
My license is in Texas, which according to the article that @Murphy1950 posted, is not a state that requires that disclosure. I’ll have to look back at my notes when I get back home. But I am thinking maybe while it’s not technically legally required to disclose info about a stigmatized property, it’s definitely better to do so b/c a buyer could still sue you if you knew a material fact about the house and did not disclose it. I’m still learning!

Mountain Lion & Bobcat are synonymous, IMO.

When Barry says "Maybe a mountain lion knocked her off her bike and she got in the river" & "Maybe a mountain lion drug her up a hill" & "I forgot the time I did a thing to my bobcat" & "It rained so it wiped out the tracks". Swap out the ML & insert his bobcat.

He's also very protective of his bobcat. During the time Andy was searching for Suzanne, that trailer with the bobcat was behind his truck in every photo I saw of him. So much so, many here were saying it's the equivalent of a man-purse.
Are you suggesting that a bobcat (the animal) is the same as a mountain lion? Because it is most assuredly not. Just FYI.

I think there’s only two people who would have done this: BM himself, or TN.

It would be someone close to him.

Yea, I know   :)- doesn't leave many reasons left as to why she was given a not so friendly citizen's advice speech about her phone.

Good morning Websluth Family,
Tomorrow marks 5 months! Suzanne is out there somewhere.... I honestly think we can find her. I hope you all have a good day and I hope we find some new things today.

One could ask, why BM did have a female employee at all? To a man like BM (reckless/busy/strong) it doesn't fit really, IMO. Helping her since at least one year or longer with a job in a selfless way, also wouldn't make sense. To take her, seems a strange decision for a big, successful landscaper, which he had been in IN at least. IMO
Why do you think he had a young attractive female employee around him he hired and used so much ? We hire manpower out of the union hall ( pay living wage)and take whoever shows up-Oh yea- I'm gonna ask the hall for a young fertile single broke strung out foxy female- probably get blackballed and my wife called-- if not arrested----IMO Motown

Ok. Now, here’s my wild theory.

BM is just a small, small man, keeping up the appearances of living a large life.

SM was his victim, and she was murdered - either because of money or because of another woman. Or both.

The End.

jmo
I like it!! Succinct, and to the point. There’s much to be admired about brevity :).

Is EVI the same as GPS?
Or is that different?
EVI is Electronic Vehicle Information and includes everything the vehicle is logging about its operation and its occupants. (In newer cars it’s a LOT.) GPS data is just one small part of the stream of data that is recorded.

If the car has Bluetooth, data from the paired phones may reside in the car. Start, stop, and off times are logged. Acceleration, speed, aggressive braking, air-bag enable/disable signals (which could indicate a passenger’s presence to a certain point on a trip — and their absence afterwards), 4wd engagement, all the engine codes, emissions, etc.

Coupled with integrated cameras (for hazard avoidance) and microphones for (hands-free calling and Siri, etc.), vehicles can be the proverbial “fly on the wall”. Of course, exact data varies by make, model, and year.

MOO.

What kind of data is my new car collecting about me? Nearly everything it can, apparently

I also find it interesting that she characterized herself as “not the other woman.”

11th Judicial District Attorney candidates take part in virtual forum – Canon City Daily Record

Paying close attention to this, because whichever of these two candidates wins the upcoming election for DA is going to be making the call re: whether or not to file charges in SM's case.

Either way, it's highly relevant.

Still haven't seen Sheriff Spezze endorse a candidate.

JMO.
ITA. With the incumbent inevitably distracted by the campaign, and the challenger and Sheriff (rightly) avoiding making the SM case a political issue, we can't expect a decision on this case before the duly elected DA is sworn in and has a chance to evaluate it. MOO.

One would think a spouse might enlist every friend he could think of to scour the countryside within a large radius.......basically every place that LE didn't look.
Oh, wait.......could that be the 200 mile radius thing he was babbling about?
IMO
She is not in this triangle ! Well BM maybe she is .

Wow! Loved this post! I learned something, and in a very understandable way. Now this knowledge goes into my sleuthing arsenal. Thank you!:)

No expert, but as I understand, EVI has gps capacity independent of any other gps system that the vehicle has, but it also had data such as, speed, length of stops.
A gps alone is used for navigation by the driver and can be turned on and off, but the EVI will still record location data.
Wow! Thank you!!! Just like Knox I couldn't find anything on Google.

Good post. I have gotten text messages from the dealership saying that my car just told them that it is time for an oil change.

I’m even more confident about this team of investigators - I’m considering digging out the old article on Kelseys investigation Team which detailed their thoroughness ...
