My knowledge of meth labs comes only from the experts Walter and Jesse from "Breaking Bad" (I still miss it). Meth labs smell like ammonia if I recall.
My relative's house stunk like a cat box.

I'll bet that the neighbor lady is a possible witness, and that she's been politely asked not to say any more than she already has.

The two sources seem quite distinct. Are you thinking that AM (who seems to come second in terms of speaking about bleach smells) is making it up, based on having heard what MG said? Or that AM confused what the investigator told - perhaps thinking the bleach smell was in the house, when he was actually told it was in the hotel?

I don't think AM was making it up, but I think it's possible there was some kind of misunderstanding.
Which is why I said I'd be more inclined to consider it credible, if the info was quoted back to the investigator him/herself.

Indications of Guilt?
And so all of these things that BM is engaging in that confirm in our minds his guilt, and yet not enough to warrant an arrest?? For someone who was innocent, we wouldn't have been able to come up with anything showing guilt.... It's just frustrating.. MOO
@Saved69 bbm sbm Yes, frustrating, h o w e v e r - - -
Bbm 1. As to "all of these things" some posters think confirm BM's guilt, some would not be admissible as evidence in a homicide trial.
Bbm 2. Respectfully in countless woman-as-homicide-vic investigations, LE often finds one or more indications of boyfriend/SO/husband's guilt including direct or indirect evidence of all kinds, and yet ultimately another person is arrested and convicted. Sometimes the BF/SO/husband is not the perp, and w no-body disappearances, in rare cases, the woman has gone walkabout. Not that I am convinced either of those two possibilities to be true here.
We don't know what evd LE has ATM, but I'm confident it's waaay more than we have.

If I'm interpreting your post other than as intended, my apologies. :)Regardless, welcome to our WS discussion.:)

Here comes an out-of-the-box thought I just had....

Perhaps he concocted some chlorine gas to subdue her/knock her out. May be how he got her out of the house without any sign of struggle. Firemen have gas masks as part of their gear so he would be unaffected. Could be a second round was needed and that's why the hotel smelled as well... and it wasn't BM who was laying on the bed for a bit. This could be easily determined on hotel security video... which begs the question - Did Barry take an ice chest into the room at some point? Seeing one on security video that has since disappeared would be damning. Also could've had her locked in a container with the towels and just needed to refresh them or rinse them out after he was done doing something off-site.

100% spitballing conjecture... but, hey...

ETA:

It's not unheard of... and according to this article - Firefighters handled an incident fairly recently.
I think it's more basic and ties into the home cleanup and the hotel tools on the cart story. moo

Great post! Let's take it from the very beginning of the case....
1. BM's 27 second Facebook video
pleading for help in finding SM
2. Not talking to the media...BM said
It's too soon
3. No posters, flyers in search for. SM
4. Only speaking to media when it
was to defend himself
5. Not participating in the searches
for SM
6. Patrolling his property, armed
while others searched for SM
7. Filing for guardianship over SM
8. Financial moves...house up for sale
9. Saying that the search that AM
organized was a publicity stunt,
anybody credible as a witness were
jailbirds or methheads.
And there are so many more. Anyone else?

Late addition:
10. The bobcat thing-a-ma-gingy oopsie

“It was only because I didn’t know the time that I did something, a mechanical thing, to my bobcat,” Barry Morphew said.

Husband of missing Suzanne Morphew says police ‘screwed this whole thing up’ and are now trying to ‘blame it on me’

And why did he not know what he did? (He knows) Wth did he do to his mechanical thing? He’s a landscaper for Pete’s sake he knew how the bobcat worked and every single thing he did to it.. Malarky! And this is what LE knows... they got him on this. I just wish we all knew exactly what it was because I think this is what is gonna be his downfall. I can’t wait !

So many of the cases I have recently followed have arrests and the perps are awaiting trial, which is years ahead. There are a few cases where LE (as usual) has remained silent as we wait for an arrest, which is excruciating like this one. I'm hoping that one day Suzanne's thread will explode with news of an arrest.

Strong circumstantial evidence will hopefully bring him to trial without her body being recovered. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for posting the photos.

You’re welcome LietKynes. At least the latest PE tweet was straightforward. I never did catch what the “5“ tweet was all about.

My theory about the unicorn on the bike tweet was maybe it was from The Unicorn tv show. “A recently widowed father with two daughters is encouraged by his friends to re-enter the dating scene. To his surprise he becomes highly sought after due to his status as both an eligible widower and as a devoted father.“

Never watched it and don’t plan to either.

Chlorine Gas. Injury or Death?

@yurintroubl sbm You may have something ^ there ^.
.... On Mother's Day, BM seems to have had a cloud of clorine following him. Moo
@Fireflize sbm Yes, 'chlorine cloud' could be right.
Exposure to high concentrations of Chlorine Gas itself can cause injury or death in relatively short periods, within a few to 30 minutes.*
A firefighter may have a mask or respirator to protect self, while exposing another person to temporary injury from chlorine gas. Or worse. jm2cts.

"At 1–3 ppm... mild mucous membrane irritation that can usually be tolerated for about an hour. ... Concentrations of about 400 ppm and beyond are generally fatal over 30 minutes, and at 1,000 ppm and above, fatality ensues within only a few minutes.... Other Chemicals. Toxic Effects?
After diving headfirst into CDC, OSHA, HazMat, MSDS *, NIOSH**, and similar websites, I sank & nearly drowned but found many other ordinary household cleaning products have derivatives of chlorine. I am woefully ignorant re chemistry; well, except for knowing :D sodium chloride is table salt,:D if that counts.

;)

Good old Clorox brand bleach*** contains several ingredients w potentially toxic effects, if inhaled in sufficient concentrations. For ex, sodium hydroxide, aka Caustic soda; Soda lye; Lye.*

A firefighter, particularly one who is also in the landscaping business, may be familiar w how to protect self, while exposing another person to a potentially toxic material. jm2cts.

I ended up going down the household items rabbit hole as well after the idea popped in my head. Soooo many potentially lethal combinations just laying around pretty much any house... not to mention quicker, deadlier ones for those with access to certain chemicals courtesy of their profession. One potentially relevant thing I learned on this tangent is the fact that chlorine gas victims may eventually aspirate some blood in advanced stages of exposure, but the best "fluid" evidence would likely be in the form of vomit.

It's just frustrating.. MOO
While collectively they cast his guilt; none of them either collectively or singularly, are illegal. Downright despicable, slimy and telling- yes. Personally, I think they are awaiting the new DA and or the proverbial nail in the coffin evidence.

Just because they are criminals doesn't mean they are dumb.
There are some extremely bright criminals for sure.
Imo it's a mental wiring factor.
I have seen low IQ people be absolute sweethearts that wouldn't harm a fly and I've also seen those that just have that thing in them. I've seen the same in really intelligent people.
Imo it has to do with the wiring.

Doesn't it seem like BM is scrambling with the property sales?
That's how it strikes me.
Like, trying to gather his oats.
I keep trying to put my finger on why. What's the plan?

IMO, he either:

-Is trying to liquidate and then protect the assets from a civil suit

or

-has a large debt that has come due
