One new development that may be relevant vis-a-vis BM's sudden motivation to distribute LE's flyers is the election of a new District Attorney last month.

Perhaps BM wants to impress upon the new DA before she takes office how tirelessly he has been searching for SM.

Watching/listening to BM always puts me in mind of an iconic scene (and line) from Tom Cruise in the incredible film, Magnolia:

"I want you to turn to page 23 in your white books: How to Fake Like You Are A Nice and Caring Person."

That would leave two scenarios. First, she was abducted and being held against her will. This is not the reaction we are seeing from combined LE, but is the one we are seeing from BM. Second she is in hiding of her own accord. I would think she would have contacted her daughters by a third party if this were the case. Your point is not out of the question, but the probability is somewhat low. I wish indicators did not point in the direction they do at this time.

I'd actually go farther and state that I believe there is zero percent chance SM is alive. There is just no way she would voluntarily go missing on Mother's Day (and staging her own abduction, I guess??) and stay missing while her father passes away. And, as you pointed out, nothing points to a kidnapping - not the reaction of LE, SM doesn't fit the profile, etc. Sadly, SM is deceased. LE knows it, BM knows it, SM's family knows it. MOO.

Does anyone think it's remotely possible that BM has filed for permanent guardianship in Colorado and the court has advised him he needs to demonstrate he's made sufficient efforts to locate her before they'll sign off on permanent guardianship?

Given the fact that he filed for permanent guardianship of SM back in Indiana, I would fully expect him to do the same in Colorado.

Especially since SM's Puma Path house went on the market.
