I'm curious about something that maybe slipped my notice. You're not the first person to mention BM's shoddy landscaping at Puma Path. But as far as I can recall, the photos we've seen from Zillow showing the property as advertised before the Ms bought it, looks the same, landscaping-wise, as it does in the current listing photos.

The driveway/parking area appears freshly gravelled, and another poster pointed out a tree that had been removed. But those are the only major differences I can think of. I believe the rock area on the creek side of the house, with the little bridge, was already there.

What landscaping is being referred to when folks comment on his poor skills at his own home?

TIA MOO
He lived there for about 2 years, so there was time to design a stunning environment around the pompous house, IMO. Certainly he had some illegal (or even legal) workers on his hand for help, not to mention the machines/tools. IMO

Even that could be a reason for Barry, namely to be jealous of Suzanne's popularity and hating her for that in his innermost. If you are a gruffy, rough type and your wife is always the more social one, elegant and noble perhaps, amiable, not selfish, she would have had always the better cards. He certainly was proud of her and liked to show her to a publicum at the holiday destination, but at home she might have had to endure his revenge for her social success. Then add Suzanne's possible wish for divorce (which we don't know of for sure) and the future outlook to half of the money/property - there you have an important reason for something unthinkable, BM might have done to the "love of his life". IMO

Your description is spot-on @FromGermany!

She was his symbolic “trophy wife”. I do not usually like that phrase, but by all accounts, she was not the shallow version. Suzanne was the real deal: beautiful, kind, gentle. If she was leaving him, it would be crushing to both his ego and his wallet.

IMO, it’s very possible that the Morphew CO home was very much loved by SM, including the inside decor and landscaping. Yes, it appears different than the IN home but sometimes people embrace their new beginning and surroundings. In dissing Puma Path, you maybe dissing SM.

Money. His, Hers, Theirs?
.... Let’s say that Suzanne made it known that she wanted a divorce... Being forced to split marital assets could have significantly impacted the lifestyle that BM had become accustomed...
@MassGuy sbm bbm Agreeing w you, splitting marital prop could be a big issue for him, but, also -
"Being forced to split marital assets and being denied ownership of any portion of SM's sole property
could have significantly impacted the lifestyle that BM had become accustomed."

^ could be a much, much, much bigger issue, so ^ FIFY^ :D

Admittedly we/gen public do not know $ amts. in each category - marital property, BM's sole prop, SM's sole prop. BM may be particularly outraged if her prop value exceeds pocket change, esp'ly since her prop is not (? ETA: may not be) subject to division on divorce. Possibly, SM's sole prop value is much greater than their marital prop. my2cts.

I’ve been following a few recent cases and know the most dangerous time is when attempting to Leave a relationship- unfortunately we see this over and over and I’m left wondering again ... what was the status of this relationship?
Sigh..

Sadly, only two people honestly know this answer, IMO, and one is a liar and the other is missing.
RIP Suzanne.
Please, hurry up JUSTICE.

I like this theory.
You hear this a lot of the time on Dateline, and other crime shows, where the husband does just this to get rid of his wife. Along w/his sob story of how she fell.

Quick and easy...imo
I've often wondered if TN recorded Barry's unconvincing plea. I can imagine TN making his own plea early on for a reluctant Barry to go public. Perhaps BM's hesitation and lame performance spoke volumes, after which TN withdrew his support.

The timing works.
Yes. Videoing yhat and maybe having BM not do anything meaayningfuk may h

Which makes it murder for financial gain.

One of the prominent mines off Monarch Pass...
Thanks for all these photos, @NoSI. It really helps give us a good perspective of what searchers are up against and the wealth of available disposal spots for anyone looking to hide something.

Unable to see in photo but it just goes straight down...

Wow this photo really gave me the chills...they all did! Thanks for sharing your photos of Monarch Pass and point taken! Another reason I think this was a rage killing...there are so many places & ways to kill someone in the great outdoors in Colorado. Why would BM go to all the trouble of killing her at home and then have to clean up the crime scene and dispose of a body when he could just go for a hike “to make the wife happy” and shove her off a cliff? Wouldn’t that steep drop off be enough to kill you? How did LE even search here? You can’t send a cadaver dog over a cliff. Maybe a drone? Was Monarch Pass searched extensively during AM’s search? I wonder how they handled this terrain? It makes me so sad to think of Suzanne’s mortal remains out there in the cold & snow. I am losing hope that she will ever be found without a confession. :(

And, to further complicate colour recognition, 8% of the male population are colour deficient! :).
Ohhhh and that color blindness can be devastating. My ex-husband was color blind and if we were going to something formal (wedding for example), I'd better be laying his clothes out for him because if I didn't, he would look sometimes like he was dressed to be a clown in the circus!

And no, I'm not making fun of it (color blindness) because I know from that experience how devastating and difficult it can be, but thought most of us could use some humor too.

It's true that you can't send a cadaver dog over a cliff, but smells waft upwards and, if the dogs had been led along the sides of the dropoffs in Monarch Pass, there's a good chance they would have smelled a body. But as everyone has pointed out, it's an impossibly large area to search.

Monarch Pass...
Thank you for sharing your photos! To me, that is beautiful scenery, but due to the circumstances, it is very eerie. I hope they find her one day & bring her home to her family that loves & cares for her.

For refreshing:

Now, CCSO is asking those who have interacted with Suzanne on
Facebook,
Instagram,
Voxer,
Facetime,
or WhatsApp
to come forward with any information they may have, revealing in the Tuesday release that Suzanne often connected with friends and loved ones via social media.

"To those who may be fearful to come forward, they can reach out anonymously. Once investigators know your concerns, they can address them," read the release. "Although the winter months are approaching, the task force assembled to investigate Suzanne Morphew's disappearance continues to move forward and will conduct additional searches and other casework."

I know what you mean! Of three sons, two are colour blind. That gene passed through me from my father who was also colour blind. The youngest, who is not, bought the oldest a pair of glasses to correct the deficiency earlier this year on his first visit to California. He actually cried when he put them on. He said it was the most incredible thing he ever experienced in his life. All summer he was looking forward to our beautiful Fall here in Ontario!

Do we know, if BM regularly attended church in Maysville/Salida before Corona?
IF he attended church and intended to stay in that area, his church/environment would be a good place to visit inconspicuously on Sundays or on church holidays, weddings, baptisms and so on.
At the beginning of this case I dreamed, Suzanne got lured to a monastery. Excuse me, when I'm repeating this. It was very special, and I seldom have a dream re all the cases, I'm following. It won't let me go completely .....
I had some time, so I googled in an effort to be useful!
Here's a list, some have pics.
I just wonder whether any are on the route from salida to his wall job?

I'd imagine it's the first thing they did.
They may have another reason for mentioning it again though.
For example, it might rattle somebody...

Some really good theories have been posited about disposal somewhere off Monarch Pass.

If SM not thrown over the edge off Monarch Pass/Old Monarch Pass, could another possibility be SM was disposed (dropped/thrown) down into an old abandoned mine shaft. If mine is deep enough, the chances would be great that remains hidden as such, likely/probable would never be found. I wonder though, if possible that a snowmobile could get to some of these abandoned mines around Monarch Pass, considering as you mentioned above, the snowpack remaining May 8-12, 2020.

I did a search for mines/abandoned mines/Monarch Pass, and Madonna mine (abandoned) populated on the map at link below, as well as several other mines located off US Route 50.

Madonna Mine

Just another thought/possibility.

ETA: Jinx @NoSI

Hoping and Praying that Suzanne is found soon!!

Just a reminder that in searching for possible locations, there was approximately ten inches of snowpack remaining on elevations above 10,000 feet on May 10, 2020. For example, the Madonna mine's original entrance, at approximately 11,135 ft elevation, led to a series of adits and shafts extending 1,525 ft into the mountain. Today, it is accessible only at it's lowest point, which is at 10,751 ft. That location is at 38.52917, -106.31170. In addition to being snowpacked on May 10th, it lies in plain view of the active open cut Mammoth mine, and from viewpoints along US 50.
