Yes, I too remain VERY curious about what good ol’ BM was doing down there all soaking wet! Iirc, that was a few weeks after LE had searched the area when TD came a lookin’.

Here’s a possibility. After he did the deed and hid SM, he needed to hide a few things, like her precious items that she wore each day and he wouldn’t part with. I mean we have learned over the course of the last eight months how important “property” is to him, real and I’m guessing personal. When LE immediately did not buy his morbid fairytale of the “cat” having dragged her and eaten her, clothing, shoes, bones, hair and jewelry, oh and let’s not forget the phone, and LE started digging around closer to home instead, BM got nervous and needed to know if they found what he had hidden. Something he couldn’t do “too soon.” :). Since he was frantic, and very wet, I suspect he had placed whatever it was underwater until it was safe to go fetch it and/or move it. Since PP is for sale now, I’m guessing he has safely stowed it away somewhere else. Maybe instead of using the SAR dogs to locate SM’s scent leading away from the house, they should have tracked BM’s scent leading to the water instead. :).

Now, that also brings me back to that very strange search of a garbage bin at the Poncha market. Was he looking to retrieve the helmet as he needed to change gears with the abduction story? Throw LE a little bone in the other direction away from the waters edge? JMT

Sooo, can you all tell I have some time on my hands?? :p:D
I like your thinking process here and glad you had time on it.

Theresa Lockhart murder investigation to be featured on Discovery Channel

In the 2017 sad case of the homicide of Theresa Lockhart, in Michigan, key elements of the case were:
1. Complete void of proof of life
2. Husband lacked communication input
3. Lack of cooperation by husband
4. Husband had no involvement in any efforts to find his wife
5. Husband never even attempted to follow up with the investigators to get the details of her case

I read this and immediately drew lines of comparison with the sad case of missing Suzanne.

The husband of Theresa committed suicide, and left a detailed map indictating where he buried her in Allegan County, Michigan.

Will the family of SM ever be allowed to know where she is?

Moo and double Moo. This case is and will remain a “ no body” case.

“Chop and Dumpster drop”

The only possible solution:

Work the timeline. Determine time and date of death.

Establish the radius of possible travel between the time of death and BM’s call “wondering about her”.

Locate, examine and work every dumpster and disposal facility with that radius.

With a little Divine providence, Suzanne may yet rest in peace someday. Amen.

Otherwise, obscurity awaits her.

Surely LE understand that just because the hotel room smelled like Chlorine... it does not mean he was in a pool? Their are several cleaning agents that contain chlorine .

maybe he was using those agents .

Ok, guys. New Lauren Scharf video!

"Is anyone curious about George?"

Barry told Lauren that George would never talk to her, but he finally did.

He was the first community member to see Suzanne's bike.

George said they had 300 people looking for Suzanne for 3 weeks, but other witnesses to the searches said it was more like 20-30 guys. They searched a 22 mile radius of the house, using grid circles. The search team consisted of experienced members with Search and Rescue and prior military backgrounds.

A missing firefighter buddy contacted George about a missing bike being discovered near the Morphew's on May 10.

There were 2 deputies at the bike, bringing it up, when George arrived on scene, and he knew that was a "no-no," due to his past decade in LE.

Bike was undamaged. George said he did not think she ran off the road, and it was definitely not an animal attack, per George.

He could not give out the info about any item found bc they were in the "helping process" of those items.

Trevor was very emotional, but George has not spoken to him since about 3 weeks after Suzanne's disappearance.

No recent searches bc of weather, but he and Barry plan on doing something for the 1 year anniversary, and they will talk about it after "he gets back from a trip."

Missing flyer is now taped back up on the door at Chaffee County Sheriff.

@OldCop I hope LE dug around in that area, bc that's where TD saw a soaking wet BM coming up from. TD said that Barry was not sweaty, he was wet, like he'd been swimming, red and splotchy on his chest, frantic, distracted, and absolutely consumed with whatever it was he was doing that day TD ran into him. I'm a bit bewildered LE didn't do a thorough, day's long search in that area, but maybe they did and we just didn't hear about it.
I think perhaps they covered that area thoroughly in the first couple of days when they had over 100 searchers from different agencies out on foot, atv, etc. I wonder if BM, if he did bring in the bike that way, raked out the area by the bridge in order to hide truck, atv, or footprints and it was obvious to LE. That may be why TD said LE had dug it up.

The helmet has bothered me as well.

Does anyone have a list going of things that they may think a permanent disposal happened quickly?
Or SM may have been disposed after Sunday?

I tend to agree she will be found East and South also. BUT, I have a hard time ruling out Fooses creek valley / trail as well, IMO. I dont think there is any reason to search north of Hwy 50.
I have gone back to that a couple of times myself, @Hoss569. My thought is Fooses Creek would be easier to navigate, but it is a very popular trail/area. I think there would be a greater likelihood of a quick discovery. I don’t think he had time to drag a body too far off the trail and then dig a hole deep enough to prevent animals from digging it up. If the body was discarded, but only covered up, the odor of decay would be hard to miss from a well traveled trail. MOO

Did they ever say if the bike was upside down?

IMO, I believe in the initial hours of SM being reported missing, LE was treating this as a potential bike accident (severe injury, she walked away from the accident and was heading home....). The official SAR efforts speak to this. At some point early on, I do think gears switched to a criminal investigation.

I also believe George's account here, that LE didn't treat finding SM's bike as potential evidence that needed to be handled a certain way. They probably just pulled the bike out of the area. I'm not ready to rake them over the coals for this, again, I think they were looking for a injured SM from a bike outing. I can also understand those close to this case being upset by that action. IMO

If I recall BM told TD that the bike was found wheels up then quickly cut himself off realizing he made a slip. He then went into the whole deal about LE’s mishandling of the situation.

Ok thank you for responding Bc I did hear it was wheels up too but I don’t have a link.

IMO it was wheels up which would look to me like it was it placed there

IIRC from LS recently released video.

George stated the bike was not damaged but there is a little more to it and CCSO has that information. According to LS, he didn't say anything more specific about the bike. IMO

Based on the SM social media photo and hashtags, this is the bike she was riding and was found (Santa Cruz Superlight)

I also found it interesting that George said he initially heard about the bike/police from a firefighter buddy. George is not a firefighter is he? So we’ve got firefighters listening to police channels and then notifying someone that is not a firefighter about it?

odd to say the least, and speaks to some type of common linkage between all these guys (firefighter, BM, George).

IMO, according to LS recent video, George is part of the Chaffee County volunteer fire department. IMO, it would have been normal for him to receive radio communications.

Just thinking about the bike. Now it seems pretty clear it was not damaged. However, early on didn't Trevor plead that questions be asked as to how the bike was found ? If all that was about was just to bring out the bike's position - say wheels up - that doesn't seem to really fit his rather strong plea. So what ? - wheel's up - wouldn't prove anything. But no one has ever talked about the condition of the tires. Let's say they were both flat or almost flat. But without damage. The police would certainly have checked to see if they held air or had leaks - right after it was found. But whomever put the bike there may have rather hastily overlooked that detail while planting it. And that detail may have never come out yet to the public. It sure could be a reason why the bike ' details ' are being kept quiet. And why BM changed the subject so quickly when he slipped up as to how it was found ( wheels up. ) BM sure isn't going to say anything about the tires. Just some thoughts.

Add- the firefighters were told they could not join in the searches - remember that? I've long thought Spezze was trying to protect the investigation, and didn't want certain information traveling back to Barry. Which simply put, as Suzanne's husband he would need to be looked at and cleared.

I'm not sure what to think about George.

Thought similar on the Jennifer Dulos missing mom case.
Today looks like a major breakthrough in finding her remains!!
My first thought was much hope for SM

There seems to be ALOT of true crime happenings today in the bigger cases. Jennifer Dulos, Alexis Sharkey, this!!!! Is today's date significant in some way?
