Could anyone verify if the Puma Path development is actually in Salida or nearby? I have seen the exact addresslisted as in Salido and in Manitou springs. Maps and geography not my strong point. Thanks!

Perhaps you can clarify or restate your request -- "Puma Path Rd" is the street name of where the Morphew family home exists (located in Maysville, Co). Reportedly, the home is for sale, and BM and his daughters previously relocated to a condominium.

I don't think there's a Puma Path Development relevant to this case.

ETA: Real Estate listing states the property Subdivision as: Monarch River Estates

Does anyone know how far from the leaning bike the blue helmet was found?
How far from the nearest rideable surface (road or smooth trail) was the bike when found?

Could it be that SM was biking other that on the highway?

Are there any who believe the killer cougar theory ?

How can that theory explain the positions of the bike, the blue helmet and the personal item?

I can’t find the post, but I recall the bike being approx 25 feet down the slope from road and the ‘personal article” was found just around the corner seemingly tossed into some brush.

Any idea if the new incoming DA already has access to existing case data or will they be starting the case review from the beginning once they take office?

I imagine if they had a case they brought to the old DA and were turned down they will dust it off with the new DA. But it could be they have no case yet so have nothing to bring to the new DA. But I am sure the new DA is interested in what is going on and will probably be briefed.

The new DA took office on Tuesday.

I did see the woman before but in a much shorter clip, far as I remember. But maybe the early clips were edited and these unedited, ergo longer??

I think this was the lady lived beside the construction site and who heard the machinery running in the middle of the night.

I don’t believe the killer cougar theory at all, unless cougars are now capable of leaving zero trace of blood, bones clothing or shoes.

it seems to be a popular go to claim by suspects.

the website still lists Turner as the DA. Could you provide a link that says the new one is in office? TIA
Office of the District Attorney, 11th Judicial District | Kaitlin Turner, District Attorney

I've not seen where the new DA Linda Stanley has been sworn it.

Colorado statute provides that Colorado legislators elected in November take office by 10 AM on the 2nd Wednesday in January of the following year (Jan 13, 2021).

I'm not sure if Judicial District candidates follow the same guidelines. (I recall that Turner was sworn in on a Monday when appointed as the interim DA in 2019).

The 11th District Judicial website seems to be under construction.

@OldCop , what was your theory about the disposal route that was taken? I don’t remember the specifics but I remember it being very good and well thought out. I’d love to revisit in after a few months of addl developments.

Looks like you could walk from the house along the river to where the bike was left. It's like a direct route. If it were I who lived there I believe I would know that route well. Who wouldn't walk along the river if it was right by your home. Just my opinion. No way you could get lost or turned around. More than likely with such few residents nearby, you'de never be seen.
