Good points, @al66pine. Many people believe that strangulation is such a “clean” type of murder when it isn’t at all.
I have considered that SM may have been strangled in the hot tub. Too late, the suspect realized that there were bodily fluids in the water. Did he drain it and try to clean it out?
There is a business called Salida Stove and Spa which carries pool cleaning supplies. I wonder if BM happened to stop in there Saturday afternoon while he was in town?
Is that the receipt he was looking for in the trash at the Poncha Market on Tuesday? Or was he stashing the receipt there? By Tuesday BM knew that LE wasn’t buying his story.

Wow, this makes so much sense to because of the strong, strong chlorine smell in the hotel room. This , you, and everyone’s input its so so important. Barry is one person and there are some really really excellent people trying to find justice for her.

you know you read my mind. I'm actually a realtor just inactive for the past few years and not anywhere near Co. I've been thinking also...if she is on private property....how in the hell did Barry get to that area? Did he have permission or know people that owns that land near the mines?

You reminded me of a “no body” case on one of the true-ish crime shows. They convicted him because her body was lying in the back of his pickup when he went through a toll booth with cams. Lo IQ got him. Lol

I’m guessing he took an old mining road (familiar from hunting trips), few people live in the wilderness areas and he didn’t even consider it was a big deal trespassing (hunters do it all of the time).
Furthermore, the ownership is often sketchy as generations pass on divided estates.

Who cares if the bike was picked up and taken back to the Morphew home by some firefighter or good Samaritan ??

At the time she was reported missing-- there wasn't supposed to be a crime suspected, just that she was inexplicably gone.
Someone who complained about the bike being handled by ten people or more made it sound like a crime had happened.

Agree! LE did extensive searches for the next 7 days, obviously showing they thought she had had a bike accident and injured ... wandered off. Dogs, drones, underwater divers, 2 search parties of up to 100 people, and closing down a US highway for half a day. With evidence mounting, at some point prior to the 18th they went BOING - hubby must be involved!

While looking for something else, I came across this Sept 20th tweet by CM (Profiling Evil). It's interesting because we're still not certain what day or time Suzanne was last heard from. Was it 5/9 at 8:30, 12:30 or 9:00 she stopped texting/talking to her friend about the wedding? Or was it 5/8?

I would say that’s the timeline then 230 on Saturday that is definitely when it starts when the communication stops.

Two months into search for missing Chaffee County mother, investigators “aggressively working this case”
" ...more than a dozen investigators are aggressively working this case on a daily basis,” said Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze.

“This is a terrible thing the guy goes to work one day and the girls are doing their thing and in a matter of minutes or hours what have you somebody’s family is turned upside down and their whole life is destroyed and turned upside down and I just want them to have closure,” Troy Skinner said.

Skinner is a family friend and has known Barry since middle school. He visited the family twice after they moved to their Colorado home in Maysville. He described the family as a perfect family.

“They were the modern day little house on the prairie, I mean everyone got along in that family.”

Not sure if he meant Eastern Time or Mountain Time, either. We really don't know much at all come to think about it. I hope there are answers for the sake of Suzanne's family and friends. And soon.

Thank you. Actually, I was looking for posts about the hot tub. As I recall there was a bit of discussion about it. That's when I found the tweet. There are a few posts around Sept 14th - Sept 20th. That's as far as I've gotten so far. Some interesting posts way back then, too.

Yes, ... a tarp and secreted in the trunk of her own vehicle. What'd she drive?

From the cooler, or whatever, possibly w/ duct tape, in the truck's bed and hauled to the work site then there's the motel cart and that doesn't make sense. SM did not go to the hotel, jmho.

Placing anything at the beach is too obvious so it shouldn't happen; nor placed under the poured foundation that was cut into square tiles and sifted by crime scene techs.

No one would disappear SM at their own work site, would one, when there's open territory and high mountains, as far as the eyes can see?

More likely than an obvious work place, maybe further away, up and in the mountains. Where hunters go. Possibly along a logging road. Where miners go to an uncovered mine in a semi-precarious position perhaps.
