wasnt there something about an invoice that was produced showing that BM bought some trees shortly after SM went missing?

If I recall, those were the same trees planted near the PP home that the cadaver dogs hit on but was never thought to be worth investigating by LE.

May be that his bobcat was used to plant those trees and the scent was on the bobcat.

Thats actually the question I asked as a follow up to Chris. I will update if he replies.

Interesting...well why couldn’t they just say that back in September? Thanks for sharing!
I still don't get it. What five trees is he referring to and why would people have to keep hoping and praying for the trees?

I don't get it either but I'm terrible with vague, innuendo-ish sorts of things.
I do well with just the facts.
So, the number 5 and "trees" without any kind of logical context, mean nothing to me.

Morphew says, “Oh Suzanne, if anyone is out there and can hear this, that has you, please, we’ll do whatever it takes to bring you back. We love you, we miss you, your girls need you. No questions asked, however much they want – I will do whatever it takes to get you back. Honey, I love you, I want you back so bad.”

"... I want you back so bad,” Barry.
"... I want them back now,” Chris Watts.

BM needs to update his public plea to include informing Suzanne, since she's incapacitated, that he obtained a legal guardianship so he could sell the home in Indiana which I tend to believe was her lifeline. BM needs to also tell her that he's sold the PP home.

Susanne knew she had a refuge in IN to resort to if needed. I don't think she wanted to sell it but I have no proof of that other than the fact the price wasn't lowered in order to attract buyers. She may have had plans to move back into the Indiana home. But, not Barry.

Why do you think he insisted on moving to Salida, CO, when leukemia had Suzanne not feeling well in May, 2018? Is it the long con moving from IN to CO? After all, a year and a half invested and he scored her $500,000 inheritance.

Before this grows legs, I think it should be clarified that the Indiana home was already for sale and under contract BEFORE Suzanne went missing. The guardianship stuff for that property didn't concern me because I assume the buyers were ready to close. Once that guardianship was used for the properties in CO, is when it became concerning to me. IN property was a mostly done deal while Suzanne's whereabouts were known. I don't think that property would be an issue for her if by some incredibly small chance she actually showed up alive. I do think she would be surprised to learn about everything else though. Obviously the conversation between BM and GM is concerning but I don't think even Gene imagined he would sell all the other properties. Jmo

If I had to speculate, I would say 5 trees were purchased, the receipt being the evidence for that, BUT maybe where those trees were planted is in question and assumed if they find those trees, maybe they will find Suzanne.... total guess and speculation. I don't remember hearing anything about the tree location. Does anyone have a link that they were planted near PP? It would make sense that they are planted near PP if we still "haven't left the house"... BUT, at some point Suzanne had to have left or been removed from the house cuz I think we can safely assume after 2 search warrants, she wasn't found in the house. My brain hurts. This case is so frustrating. Jmo

I think the tree in the area the dogs alerted to was on or near the property. As a landscaper I would assume it would be normal to purchase trees. It shouldn't be hard for LE to track down where they were planted. Even if they do, how can the PE guys be so sure it is so important? I did not get the impression that LE were sharing information with anyone outside of the investigation.

I agree that buying trees is 100% normal for a landscaper. I wonder if something on the invoice is what caused the speculation. Maybe the order date, location of tree delivery, etc? I have no idea where they got the tree info from. Maybe LE did speak with CM or MK because they were fellow law enforcement? Its possible. We have seen that LE will speak with other former LEOs such as Duty Ron in the Orrin and Orson West case, so maybe it happened here too. I really have no idea. I have asked 2 follow up questions to CM to see if he can clarify further.

I think the speculation is - the bobcat was used in some fashion to dispose of Suzanne. Her scent remained on the equipment and was deposited in work BM did afterwards. I have no idea if that is even possible or plausible. I give it some credibility because Chris surely has more knowledge than most of us, and at some point was receiving information about the investigation we aren't privy too. I'm not saying it was from LE, but maybe from sources who were being questioned by LE.

I'm ready for some action in this case, over all the speculation and tail chasing in circles.

I agree with everything you said and I do believe if the bobcat was in any contact with SMs body, there is definitely a possibility that cadaverine was transferred to other places and items that the bobcat came in contact with. Jmo though cause I am definitely not an expert in anything.

The five tree location was a common area of the PP HOA. I don’t have a link but this was talked about after the AM search.

Cadavarine is very stubborn scent. A bobcat scoop is an insanely scored and porous metal surface. I do think they mean to say the dogs picked up secondary contact scent.
Bobcats leave tracks, trucks trucking Bobcats to places will leave GPS data.
Hopefully the Sheriff has followed up completely on this.
It is not helpful if they have thinking such as "GQ Public go away, we got this."

Allright you guys, I just sat and watched this whole video again trying to find the "5" comment, and right at the end, at 49:07, is the reference to "5." (It was actually Mike that gave the reference.).

Search Day 3:

This is the day of the search that they released the photo of BM lying on the ground. This was also the day of the hits by the dogs.

Yeah, but he said there are five "strong reasons," and to think of Bruce Lee, so I'm still not sure how that all ties in with trees. They seemed really excited which is why I thought they meant the number five was an arrest and they were expecting it soon.

Before the search even started they seemed really focused on the beach site, pointing out that the rocks looked disturbed or unusual. Then when the dogs alerted in the same spot towards the end of the search they seemed convinced they had found something.

Then they seemed to abandon that idea and instead focused on the other area.

The PE guys speculate just like we do I believe.

Edited because OP edited post (although it was not a stupid question.) I think LE can likely get another search warrant for the Puma Path home if they have enough probable cause. Just because they didn't find anything does not necessarily mean there is nothing there. Imo

Bruce Lee Quotes
Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked, while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind.

Maybe that is a clue?
