* I feel that there are some things that show BM was NOT involved.
* I feel that there are some things that show BM was involved.

There's a weird thought that I feel that he was involved, but he didn't know when, what or where.

It is a weird thought, right? When you look at the "middle ground" in all this it seems to point at BM covering up for someone else. But then again we don't know what LE has with regard to evidence. If you look at what facts we know, it is pure speculation that BM is the guilty party (and he may very well be), but there is nothing really concrete to hang your hat on. To get a sense of the case, you have to cast a wider net over those within BM's influence circle, and that is a bit troubling.

The fact the neighbor made the 911 call has troubled me, he knew LE and probably had personal cell phone numbers. Why push off that call? One reason I thought would be so the neighbor was able to meet LE at the house, but it seems very odd.

BINGO! Nothing concrete puts BM at the house or the PLS.

Today’s Sherlock Award goes to Hoss 569!

Hoss raised this question:

Why, when he allegedly feared his wife was missing, didn’t Barry himself call 911 or the cops?

I feel he is solely responsible for her missing. One man - and it is him. Now, he may of involved others and they did not know when what or where.

This is what seems most likely to me. A one man show. He's perfectly capable, a rugged outdoorsy man with lots of wilderness around.

1. The pings would reveal his true location.

2. His call would be taped and content and voice analyzed.

3. He had not yet entirely worked out his cover story.

ALL 911 CALLS ARE TAPE-RECORDED!
Yes, and can you imagine how the call would've sounded ?

Speculation : "Well, you see, she went on a bike ride before church and no one has heard from her all day.
Tell LE they need to look for: A) mountain lion, B) kidnapper, C) car hit her and she got herself into the river, D) I'll let you know if there are more scenarios.
Oh, and E) be careful looking at her bike and don't mess up the evidence as it's a criminal investigation as well as a missing person. You (LE) need to LISTEN to me."

There was no reason why he couldn't call 911 himself ... unless of course, there was.
My .02 is that he wanted the concern to sound genuine.
I'd love to hear the neighbor's 911 call as she might have said exactly what BM told her to say.
So there will be some clues in that call !
Imo.
Which is why it hasn't been released.

Like millions of homes in non-urban areas with no security cameras, no land line and a family member home alone for periods of time.

Not quite. No working security cameras, no working landline...and according to Barry his family had been recently threatened by one of his previous employees. Most people take precautions on different levels depending on means and needs. I don't know of anyone who doesn't have landline access where conditions are spotty.

Seems odd to have a million dollar plus house, a 100K auto, your threatened family isolated, living in a rural area and zero protection when it was readily available. Not even a $20 dollar a month landline. But 5 months later, when no one was supposedly living there, the means and need to suddenly to hang trail cameras?

Exactly and as paranoid he was with Andy's search ...meeting with a gun, hanging cameras.... I can't see him not having his own security cameras up at the house prior.

Rsbbm - makes you think about what warrants such protection now.

Ita !

Wish I knew.
Maybe some people (searchers) were getting too close for comfort--- not necessarily to Suzanne's possible remains, but something else ?

Or, just BM being overly protective and a bit paranoid ?
But then in that case -- whether she went on the bike ride or someone took her-- you'd think there'd be camera footage, at least from outside the home to show that she left of her own volition or that someone else came to the house that day ????

What seems even more odd, is that he is a business owner without security cameras or landlines. Quite a few of the business owner I know have more than your normal security camera set up's, both for their house and business'.

Agree, find it unusual that the cameras weren't working, considering that BM is reportedly controlling. I would have thought an individual like that would have working ones all over, that could be checked, anytime.
I used to work for someone that had cameras that would also record audio so they could listen to what staff said and it would be sent to their phone - it was horrible, and that was just during work, imagine living in that environment.

Off topic- I think about putting cameras up in the house at times cos I want to see what my dogs get up to when I'm not around :) can just picture them all, sitting in a row at the door, granted, it will most likely be the cupboard door where their food is, but still...I'd like to see what they get up to.

That’s why I think he had cameras and purposely disconnected / removed them .
