They're onto something, IMO. All of this seems...strange. The G*F*M is already up to over $11,000. That was quick.
Right? And why block off the road leading to her home? Are they searching the home? Do they have the dogs there? Wish we had a news copter to give a live feed!

The Sheriff’s Office has blocked off the road at Hwy 50 and County Road 225. According to online records, Suzanne Morphew may have a house down this road. There looks to be a few houses down the road that I can see through the trees.

Given the lack of any interest in asking the public for help - even down to what she might have been wearing or a bike description, and the immediate involvement of CBI and FBI - I cannot imagine it is anything but a criminal investigation except in name only (much like how they had strong evidence from the first interview with TS in the Gannon case). They must have some evidence if only in the form of certain cooperating or i cooperative family members to go this direction so quickly versus organizing searches and please for the public’s help at this time. MOO.

I found the G*F*M for a whopping 50k going up within 36 hours of her reported missing odd. And even more so because they appear to be a family of some means.

Where is the husband and/or adult children on tv pleading for her safe return and telling us she would not just run off? Yet they are concerned enough to offer a sizable reward already.

So many questions. Hopefully, some creative reporters can get some answers and interviews soon.
Hear, hear.

The bike ride never happened. MOO

LE playing it close to the chest might indicate they have some leads and are hopeful for a quick resolution.

I hope.

I spoke with a few neighbors who do not know Suzanne personally, but tell me this is a very safe area and most people in town don’t even lock their doors. They say nothing like this has ever happened - that they are aware of. They say there are biking trails in the area.

Is that a miss print 50k?? If not thanks for the info!

I agree and do not think there ever was a bike ride.
MOO
Something tells me LE will be making an announcement within a day, two days tops of a POI. IMO

I don't know if she is showing the ring to anyone in particular, but I did notice the ring right away.

jmo
Now that I think about it, for me that's huge, but for someone that is wealthy, the ring could be standard.

Hopefully a news station flies a drone over at some point....

Would be very curious to know why they have it blocked off. Nothing about how they're handing this case says they believe she is lost/missing from the bike ride.

I didn’t realize the road is blocked off right now...I wonder if they’ve found something. So scary and sad for her and her family...

Snipped

Why block off the road? Searching?

BBM:

There could be organized searches taking place close to the property.

It might also be the case that LE is executing search warrants at the home.

I do think they'd block off the road if they were executing warrants.

I couldn’t agree more, @GoJacks. People go missing in the mountains all the time, and if authorities think they just got lost or injured, this is never how it goes. Also, unfortunately there are certain patterns that seem to pop up in true crime cases over and over and over for those who follow them. I really want Suzanne to be OK, but I’m starting to see some indications of those patterns. Please prove me wrong and come home safe to your beautiful daughters, Suzanne!

What's so bizarre in this case is the lack of info. Typically, they will say "So and so last spoke to the missing person on this day at this time." We don't have that here. I imagine that someone from her family, whether husband or children, spoke to her at some point that weekend, especially considering it was Mother's Day weekend. Why aren't that releasing that like they typically do? Or why aren't the family themselves saying "I just talked to her on the phone at X time" or whatever. Unless LE is telling them not to speak to the media?

If she did go on a bike ride, it seems like she's a pretty regular rider and I highly doubt she got lost. They said they highly doubt wild animal attack. So I guess we are then left with accident, hit and run and she is left for dead (but then where is she?), medical event that led to an accident, disappearing on her own (which I highly doubt you would do on just a bicycle), or foul play/abduction. MOO

But then of course, it doesn't even sound absolute that she was last seen leaving on a bike ride, so who knows?

Seriously, It sure makes you wonder just exactly what did LE tell 100 volunteer searchers that showed up on Monday to help look for SM....

BBM:

If one assumes that SM did in fact disappear during a bike ride, then the lack of info being released is strange.

If one assumes that SM never went on a bike ride, then LE's silence makes all kinds of sense.

If one assumes that SM never went on a bike ride, then her family's silence also makes total sense.

I think LE has a pretty good idea of what's happened to SM.

And it wasn't a biking accident.

My el hinko meter is likely faulty this one but I have to echo what some others have already said.

The mention of a massive reward for the safe return, 'no questions asked' for a woman who went missing while out for a bike ride is alarming to me...along with her disappearing when her family appeared to be away.

I wonder how her health was? She appears to be in great shape. Could she have experienced a medical emergency and is laying off road waiting to be found?

I haven't seen any mention of drones being used, but the conditions seem to be ideal for this type of search. Apparently the tracking dogs were brought in immediately based on this link. https://nypost.com/2020/05/13/colorado-woman-missing-after-going-on-mothers-day-bike-ride/

An 'open criminal investigation' tells me that they don't believe that this is due to misadventure or accident.

I feel very unsettled about this one....on the surface, this woman looks like she has a very happy life.

Could someone have resented her because of it?

Just speculation and JMO
