It's usually yellowish - green. Sometimes clear. Sometimes green.

Think vomit- it comes in all the colors of the rainbow- depending on what you've eaten, etc.

OT- true story. Had a pediatric ICU patient neatly and precisely fill the pocket of my scrub jacket with barf one night! You should have seen me trying to wiggle out of the jacket and not spill it! TMI - I know!

Thanks. I was just wondering if the fact that the fluids in the stomach being yellow/orange could have been from ingesting crushed amitriptyline, since some strengths are orange.

Your OT comment is just one of many reasons why I could never become a nurse. I might sometimes sound like I'm being hard on you, but I've said for many years that if you want to know what's really going on, you're usually better off asking a nurse or pharmacist than asking the doctor. My neice is a RN, and I wouldn't want her job for anything. MOO

So the drugs listed in the gastric contents (or blood)...do they come in pills/capsules that are yellow and orange?

Think morning sickness colors if you have been pregnant..That is Gastric juice. Pills forms where apparently where already digested.

There are so many generic drug manufacturers, the answer is 'probably'. And the contents of the pill could also have a color. So I don't put any significance in the color of the gastric contents.

Thank you - and I don't think you're being hard on me - you have your opinion in this case, and I have mine. No worries. :)

Yellow, orange, tan, white, green, purple etc.

Ami comes in lots of colors.

Morgan looks so pretty there.
She was so photogenic...and a talented photographer (as well as a few other gifted talents).

Many people her age (and younger) take so many photographs of themselves (goofing off, having fun, being obnoxious), but Morgan (and I'm sure many others) seemed to focus on the true beauty of life, in her photography that I've seen (via the blog and her short blog).

I sometimes say about certain people: "she was standing in the front of all the lines when things got handed out".

Yeah, that was the first thing I thought reading the report. TMI, but what was described in the autopsy report seems normal to me as a formerly pregnant person.

Yuck did u burn the jacket.. I had barf on me, poop on me I doubled gloved all the time

I was a job coach for severely disabled adults for a while, but gave it up when they started expecting me to change diapers for a couple of clients who were suffering from severe diarrhea. Doing it for babies is fine, but I don't have the stomach for doing it for adults. It takes a special kind of person to be a nurse, and I'm not that special! :runaway:

Gatric Juice is clear, but u have bile and Mucus and other secretions that mix in so it can be any color. Heck if you throw up blood it would red, Bile can make it brown and I think green.

One other thing I think can be settled now; I don't think 5'3" and 115# sounds much like someone with an eating disorder. He also said in there that she appears well-nourished.

According to the toxicology report the following are the drugs tested positive for:
  • Cotinine - nicotine- a smoker?
  • Nortiptyline - antidepressant- nortiptyline treatment of major depression and childhood nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting). In addition, it is sometimes used for chronic illnesses such as chronic fatigue syndrome and migraine, and labile affect in some neurological conditions.
  • Amitriptyline - antidepressant- used to ease migraines, tension headaches, anxiety attacks and some schizophrenic symptoms. It is also known to reduce aggression and violent behavior.
  • Cyclobenzaprine (Brand name Flexeril) - muscle relaxant - used to relieve skeletal muscle spasms and associated pain in acute musculoskeletal conditions

I have no more questions. It was an appropriate decision by the medical examiner.
My sympathies to the family.

Well we don't know if she ate any food that nite nor what it was.

I had the impression that there wasn't much if any food left in her stomach, so thought the colors (yellow and orange) mite be from crushed pill or melted capsule residue. (except I'm not ruling out liquid form yet )

Is ami (and other drugs detected) in either tablet and capsule form?

Sorry for dumbo questions...maybe it doesn't matter anymore...

I still think we need to re-evaluate Dr. Doberson's (second opinion) report in lieu of (finally!) seeing the autopsy and tox reports. JMO. "We" being the med pros, certainly not moi. ;)

Raine ......thank u so much for those reports!!!!!

I too was curious about her being fully clothed as stated in the autopsy report. I believe I read, and I dont know where, that TI had discovered her at 5am. Does any one else recall this? I def think she would be in her pjs at this hour. Hmmm. Wonder what time she came that evening?

In reading the new blg entry they were still not 100% sure the poi was the stalker, yet. I'm ready to know when and how they became positive. I'm almost sure that the person captured with the cam had hair showing under a doo rag and that the hair looked nothing like their suspect's. Wonder what the cops thought.

If I remember correctly TI said Morgan was in her PJ's on the show. JMO My memory is not that great.

I think she said she went to get into her "jammers" but didn't actually say she had already changed into them. My impression was that M was mad at home and went to her room, and mom sent dad in afterwards. He found her sitting in the dark texting someone. Didn't mention clothes.

I think the autopsy has cleared up alot for me. My heart breaks for Mr Mrs I though.:(

I have dealt with a lot of people in my time that had diapers no family, just left there to die.. I guess that is why I have a passion for the unclaimed, I have seen these people ask about their family and no would come. I have stayed with a lot also until they passed away, I would clock out and stay with them so they would not be alone. It is a hard job, but u do fall in love with them

Oh So Sorry Off Topic, Me bad

The nortriptyline is a metabolite of amitriptyline.

That's what suing is. That's why when a famous person has had enough of false accusations, they sue a publication or whomever. Oprah was sued by the beef industry folks because of one comment she made (that nobody imo would think she intended as a means to harm the beef industry when she made it). That's not a great example. Let's see, anyway, when you're not guilty and if it bothers you enough, you can fight back. If you're a regular person, and not a criminal, you'll do it within the law.

yes, and suffer YEARS (usually) of false accusations without being able to defend yourself publically (at attorney's advice) because of pending criminal and civil cases - by that time, the libel and slander has done it's job on one's reputation, relationships, and psyche

my family has been there - it's not right and that is what galls me anyway ... it's hypocritical to claim the right to justice but by one's very (blogging) actions, spit in Lady Justice's eye
