This was such a tragedy and hopefully will serve as a wake up call or a reminder to some. SMH. There are no winners in this case as I see it. I actually hope that the prosecutor does not argue aggravating factors and the judge sentences her to 8-10 years. It is my hope that she gets the help she needs, a GED, and maybe some skills. HJ does not strike me as a malicious person, just a young mother who made a horrible decision.
I can't get CA out of my head for some reason who IMO is walking free and did not report her child "missing". HJ stopped her car and rendered aid to her boys as soon as she realized something was wrong. Yes she lied, changed her story, smoked a cig before removing her son from life support. I look at that behavior and I am stymied, but then again I am judging from a place of higher knowledge, competency, experience, and education.
I look at the pics and footage of HJ and I have compassion for some reason. For CA, I have none. Am I alone in thinking this?
