Andy Cohen had red rings around his eyes, or my TV needs to be adjusted. I think he was on Today, by Skype.
OMG!

I just read 2 posts on this thread where people were talking about his eyes being red and how that can be a first sign!

One of them has a "pick-your-own" option for cherries, blueberries, and a lot of other fruits.
I’d rather have wisdom teeth pulled than pick cherries, been there done that too much in MI, lol, the Maraschino cherry factory was near our summer home, lotsa cherry trees.
but yeah, our open air markets will open soon & we have farms that sell beef and greenhouse produce all year, a few very close to me. I’m sure they are sold out.

UPDATED Coronavirus round-up: the retail response to Covid-19
INDUSTRY06 Mar 202011:16by Chloe Rigby

<RSBMFF>

It found that over the last two weeks – comparing the beginning of the period to the end – premium online grocery purchases have grown by 20%, while shoppers have spent 26% more time on grocery websites. Customers are buying more healthcare products (+27%), perhaps as shoppers look for ways to protect themselves. But they are spending less on travel planning websites (-20%). It also found that while sales of underwear, lingerie and sex toys were rising (+35%), sales of sports equipment were down by almost a third (-28%).

DH and I have wondered if we'll see a baby boom after this.

Yes! And he tested positive! And there is a photo of Tom Hanks where his eyes look red while he was self quarantining.

Vet care, thank God, is also deemed essential.
I had to run to the vets last week to pick up meds for one of my cats. She needs prednisone for IBD. I called ahead to order it and called again when I got there. They ran it out to me. But they were also running out to pick up the animals from cars and/or returning the animals to the cars. No one was able to enter the vet's building.. One poor little vet tech was struggling to carry a fairly large dog into the office building .

So you had a bacterial infection that responded to antiBs?
Yep it was bacterial. Always is with me.
ETA-this was pertaining to other illnesses going around just prior to this virus outbreak

You can search Olson mask on YouTube for a tutorial. I have tweaked the pattern a bit to make sure it fits everyone. And I also added a top stitch around the top and bottom of the mask so it holds its shape better when washed. Some people are also adding a bit of interfacing as a filter and to hold its shape.
I just happened to come across this YouTube tutorial for the Olson Mask while looking for a different one:

I saw a funny post that said you’ll see a baby boom only for first-time parents since everyone else is stuck home with their kids all day

Pretty soon the roadside produce stands/ farmers markets will be opening up around here in South Jersey. They have been deemed essential as they sell pretty much what they grow, instead of shipping to stores. I mainly shop for fruits and veggies at the 2 near my home from April through November. Jersey farms grow everything from strawberries and asparagus (first crops out) to peaches and blueberries and tomatoes and corn (mid summer) to apples, pears and pumpkins (late summer/ early fall). Tons of other stuff as well.

It will be curious to see how they operate though. One of them has a "pick-your-own" option for cherries, blueberries, and a lot of other fruits.

I have a lot of farms in my area, and there is concern about delays in harvesting bc of lack of workforce. A large amount of the workers come from abroad on work visas, so the farmers are scrambling to make things work. Sad

I say divorce boom
That's probably more like it. I wonder if there has been an increase in DV calls during this time. Or at least by the time this is over there may be.

I’ve checked several times, I guess it depends on several factors. I do expect some outrageous crime to occur. The longer this lasts, the hotter tempers seem to get, imo.

Yep. Same here. Workers come from Mexico or often stay here year round to do other jobs. The two near me are family run and family works the stands. And the fields. Some of them at least. .
