UGH--I have to venture out tomorrow- I went out last week to get TP and a few essentials. I was the only one except for the cashier, wearing a mask and gloves. The checkout line was very long and wrapped around an aisle and there was no 6 ft apart and NOBODY in that line was wearing a mask or gloves. I checked for TP and they were out so I just left and came home. I didn't even check for other things.
Tomorrow--I need to meet with a friend, who has made cloth face masks as we are now out, social distancing as I told her to just throw them in my back seat on the passenger side LOL--
then I have to go find TP and a few canned goods and yes, some hair color, apparently now sold out,
then come home and have a zoom video family game day-- we play Cards against Humanity online with zoom LOL

CoVid has a distinctive presentation in the lungs, apparently creating crystalline glass-like structures in people. This has become diagnostic in ER's (a chest x-ray with this presentation means you likely have CoVid and are in a serious state).

The damage starts before the ventilator, but people on ventilators have more damage (perhaps as a consequence of the virus - not everyone who is intubated has lung damage under normal circumstances). Doctors are doubtful that this type of damage can be reversed.

In two, the bronchi were still very excitable when under stress, as in asthmatics. Four out of the six divers still showed impressive lung changes on the control CT. "I even called on the X-ray to see if they had swapped the pictures because a healthy patient was sitting in front of us," said Hartig. "When they saw their own pictures, it was shocking for them," said the doctor. "You have to check regularly with such lung damage."
To what extent long-term effects remain on the lungs is unclear according to the doctor and is currently speculative. "We don't know how much of the changes will last," said the doctor. When looking at the findings, however, it is difficult "to believe in complete healing". He therefore published an interim report in the diving magazine "Wetnote" to warn active divers. "After a Covid infection, even if you have only mild symptoms, you should definitely have a dive doctor examine you thoroughly, even if you still have an upright medical examination," said Hartig.

Here's the mis-match. Trump claims that the Canada-USA border will open first and soon, while Trudeau states that all Canadian borders will be closed for many weeks to come. Two leaders with different goals and intentions. As long as they both protect their own people, everyone will be happy.

What makes you think that there's such a thing as "slight exposure"? How would we know in advance who is going to react to, 100 virions (as opposed to 10,000) in a way that makes them only a little sick? I don't think that's how it works. It's clear that repeatedly exposure to vast amounts of virus is worse.
I mean, I wish this were the case. I'd go out right now and come in touch with a "slight amount" of CoVid and how that I too develop immunity. But there's no evidence you can opt to get a mild case through some contact maneuver. Mainly, it just hits your lungs and does whatever it's going to do - most young people have strong immune systems, so if that's what you mean - yes, let them go get it.
But do not expect all of those young people to be healthy afterward. The lung damage issue is huge, as is organ failure, as is kidney damage, and in some cases, cardiac damage. It will be lifelong and there's no telling who is going to get just a "little bit of Covid."
It appears about 40% of people are asymptomatic and will experience no damage, but it doesn't appear to be related to getting "a little" of the virus - no one knows how we could even begin to study and measure that.
Australians have been great about social distancing - but haven't yet been through CoVid during the winter. You've also got a lot of beach per capita (unlike Florida). It seemed to begin well this morning in Florida but by mid day, it got crowded. Still more distance than usual (I watched on webcams), so we shall see in about two weeks how that worked for them.
