Here's another lie.

. Kate says: "It was a really uncomplicated pregnancy. I had no sickness, nothing. It was so easy..." speaking of Madeline.

um..Auntie Phil has stated that Kate's pregnancies were all "absolutely terrible". The last time she said that was last Friday. I can look for the link if you want me to, but I noticed they were talking about Kate's terrible pregnancies on the mirror forum and then I noticed this article tonight...

I don't know which of them is lying, or even if it's a big deal, but somebody is clearly changing the story.

Hi, mom24boys! :)

I've been looking around trying to find a quote from Auntie Philomena about the pregnancy from last Friday or anytime, and all I can find is this quote from a different relative - Norah Paul - about "what she went through" which was referring to the In-Vitro Fertilization, and not the pregnancy:

http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNe.../McCann_mother_070907/20070907?hub=TopStories

Norah Paul, the aunt of Kate and godmother to Madeleine, told CTV on Friday that the allegations are baseless. She described the parents and their three children as a happy family.

"It is absolutely ridiculous to even be able to talk like that knowing our Kate and knowing how desperately they wanted children and the work she went to get children, the IVF (in vetro fertilization)," said the Vancouver resident.

"When Madeleine came along, it was the answer to all their prayers and they just loved their kids. I was with them just before they went to Portugal, and they were just a very happy family unit."

There is a quote from Philomena in that article, but it just says they were framed. I searched through alot of transcripts but I can't find any quotes about Kate having such bad pregnancies, although having twins is always risky and difficult.

anyway they are doctors - if they wanted to sedate theiir kids they would get their hands on stuff a lot stronger than calpol
That's the thing, though - they could be lying. Of course they would tell the police that they gave all the kids something mild - they wouldn't say they knocked their own children out so they could go party.

teacherbees said:
I personally don't trust their word. Kate's absurd "I took my child's bedtime lovey with me to work and rubbed it on the dead folk before bringing it back into my home and into contact with my small children" sure sounds like a whopper to me.

Initially, they flat out denied giving their kids any drugs...

So these are people who have the ability to lie. And, as I tell my kids, when you're caught lying, it only makes things harder for you because, from that point on, no one ever really knows what things you're saying are the truth and what are more lies.
That's been the case in so many murders - the lies accumulate. Pretty people who seem "nice" and "decent" will lie to protect themselves, and it seems to me these folks are way too concerned about appearances to admit they ever did anything that wasn't acceptable.

I believe you, but it would be nice to have the link to compare. Thanks.

It seems that many of these "McCann lies" are not lies at all but merely tabloid myths, inaccurate reporting, speculation and misrepresentations of the truth which have been thus pepetuated on blog sites and forums over the past two years.

I don't know how a new case follower is supposed to untangle it all - especially when reliable sources are so infrequently offered by those who refer to them as if they were "established fact".

It's really like any other case - you have to go back to the beginning and work your way through it. People should draw their own conclusions.

But I beg to differ that most of this information is overblown by the tabloids or people on forums. The McCanns have been interviewed numerous times, and so have their relatives. When they speak that becomes fact of the case, and they just keep talking. Their own words are part of the public record.

So I would encourage any newcomer to the case to check YouTube and watch the interviews straight from the McCanns themselves.

Because let's face it - this case unfolded over months and there are alot of cuckoo statements out there. Look at this one I just found from Auntie Phil on Nancy Grace - you can't make this stuff up:
http://edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0709/07/ng.01.html

GRACE: And that brings up an interesting point. And I want to go to a guest before I go to the other lawyers, Susan and Renee. Joining us now is Philomena "Phil" McCann. This is Madeleine McCann`s aunt. Philomena, thank you for being with us. Maddy went missing on May the 3rd, and today, almost five months later, they -- police find that they have found blood evidence. Why five months later? Do you find that unusual, Philomena?

PHILOMENA MCCANN, MADELEINE`S AUNT: Well, I find it incredible, actually. They`re not actually saying it`s blood, they`re saying it`s bloody (ph) fluid.

GRACE: Oh, inside the car?

MCCANN: Uh-huh.

GRACE: Bodily fluids inside the car. Philomena, do you believe that it`s true that police are trying to get a plea deal out of baby Maddy`s mother in exchange for a confession of some sort?

MCCANN: Yes. Kate told me that was the case.

GRACE: And what is her response?

MCCANN: Well, it`s actually unsayable (ph), but in effect, she told them to get stuffed.

I apologize beforehand if this has already been answered:
A bit further down the page, one can see a crime scene picture showing two pink objects on Madeleine's bed. One larger item in a stronger pink and one smaller of lighter pink nearer to the wall, next to the pillow.
Is the larger pink object "Cuddle Cat"?

The larger item is the pink blanket which went 'missing' after that photo was taken.

The smaller one is Cuddle Cat.

I think it went 'missing' about the time the sports bag went missing- the sports bag that was in the wardrobe in one photo and then disappeared in the next photo, the same bag Gerry said he never had.

I think Maddie was snatched. BUT it's been said that they knew she was taken because cuddlecat was placed on a ledge that maddie couldn't reach BUT in the photos of the room from that night. Cuddlecat is on the bed and i see no ledge in the room she couldn't reach

The Cuddle Cat was always on the bed. She always slept with it next to her pillow.

Thanks for the info rpgman and Robin Hood.
Does there exist on the net a photo of the sports bag in the wardrobe?

It does, 1st photo shows cadaver dog hitting where the bag was. 2nd photo shows bag.

Almost at the bottom of page, here

http://justiceformadeleine.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/over-100-reasons-that-suggest-madeleine.html

I ask myself how Gerry could deny having the bag when LE had a photo showing it. Hasn't he been confronted with the photo and been asked point-blank: "And what about this bag there in your wardrobe?"

that's what I would like to know. How can he deny NOT having the bag when it's photographed in his condo?

Just found quote from http://justiceformadeleine.blogspot....madeleine.html

So I was right, it was in the 40 questions.

''The bag was said to have gone missing from the apartment, and in one of the crime scene photos, a bag of some sort can bee seen in the parent’s wardrobe. This photo formed one of the questions that Kate refused to answer during her Arguido interview. It was right next to this very wardrobe that Eddie, the Enhanced Victim Recovery (Cadaver) dog, positively alerted''

Wow, that page was so poorly written it's hard to make out what the writer was trying to say. Someone should proof read and edit that thing if they expect to be taken seriously.

What does, "This photo formed one of the questions" mean? The photo FORMED a question? Did the writer mean that Kate was asked some manner of question regarding the fuzzy photo, and she didn't have an answer for it and therefore refused to answer it? Why is it assumed that the question posed by the photo was in regard to the bag? The writer said the question was (formed by?) regarding the photograph. How do you know what question she was asked through the unskilled interpreter? I can think of about 100 questions she could have been asked that she should very well have refused to answer. How do you know that the question was about the location of the bag, or that the bag was a "tennis bag"? Personally it looks like luggage to me, but whatever.

looks like a backpack to me.
Gee, wonder why it's photographed and then it disappears?
I can think of a reason.

I too see it as a piece of luggage, probably a traveling bag.

Here are the questions Kate was asked about the bedroom wardrobe:

2. Did you search inside the bedroom wardrobe? (she replied that she wouldn’t answer)
3. (shown 2 photographs of her bedroom wardrobe) Can you describe its contents?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...uestions-Kate-McCann-wouldnt-answer--did.html
What about Gerry? Did he too refuse to answer the questions?
I assume that LE asked him about the picture of the bedroom wardrobe too; so in case he did answer, it would be interesting to study what he said about this crucial photo.
