My experience of those that are suicidal or suffering from deep depression is that they don't look forward to things. I believe that they can hide their depression and suicidal thoughts easily and people are often surprised to hear of the depression or suicide (or attempt), but the biggest difference IMO is that they don't look forward to things!

We know that Allison looked forward to the conference and to the night off that is the major indicator for me that she didn't self harm.

There is no shame in depression and we shouldn't be concerned about the defense trying to push this.

All MOO of course.

It was agreed that Danny would issue the 78B documents , (that was a requirement anyway, and had been overlooked) , to RA in the lunch break yesterday, and I just checked my notes and I have 9 am 20th March. Oops, I think your right. I think it was discussed as being today , but then this later date was given. Can someone else confirm?

The argument over whether Ms Ritchie will be compelled to give evidence on private counselling sessions will be heard next Wednesday.

Just got a tweet from a Journo saying Neil
Robertson and Martin Giles are listed as witnesses today. Any idea who they are?

Hi Aunty - yes I'm sure the date was 20th March in the end. I also agree with you re the 78B docs to RA in yesterday's lunch break.

Disappointed in evidence so far... But still believe he did it.. Not sure how many people would go and get their hair done usually paying $ that They consider a luxury then go out walking to get all sweaty before going to an event you want to look your best at.

If I remember rightly it was Harcourts that had something to do with the sale of Allisons house on the Gold Coast

Allison's depression doesn't seem so significant to the case from my perspective. She sought out help from friends (Elise) and others were aware of her struggle even and her 'husband' knew. She had insight to her issues and her kids were her focus -
Her rountine that Friday is hardly indicative of suicidal behaviour. She had been to the hairdresser to be looking smart for a Friday work conference and then prepare for a kids sleepover with the cousins that Friday night and drop off a dress to Kerrianne on the way home from the conference. That seems incredibly normal humdrum family life to me.

I agree liadan and I also think that it is going to be very hard for the defence to convince anyone that Allison planned to suicide that night because of all those things you just mentioned. So that leaves a spur of the moment suicide say following a fight. How many people do that? Not many I think, most plan it for some time before it.

Wonder what prompted the early lunch break? An upcoming witness who may take a long time, or something that the Magistrate wanted to discuss in his office with Davis and Boyle?

Very interesting... Any ideas, Ali?

Doc, I'd say the magistrate just had a rumbly tummy of course! He gets to decide when everyone has lunch.

Often the latter I think but genius Ali is the one to answer . She makes me want to forget all those lawyer jokes I've heard . Thanks Ali
Ahh thats a lovely thing to say Squizzy. I like kermit frogs too. And I have posted my genius answer to the question just moments ago.

Too many holes in the suicide theory, awful long way for a woman to walk to go kill herself.
