Indeed, it would be worth asking his old barber (across the road from C21's old premises beside the Coffee Club in Kenmore) if they knew how he shaved or maybe they even did it for him?

Ms Heath was a party to GBC's approach to Dr Bruce Flegg for loan. She said GBC said if he didn't get the money he would go broke #badenclay

And there is the severity of their financial problems in his own words.Though this loan if given, would only have replaced debt with debt but would have eased the pressure of loans that were shortly due.

In his affidavit submitted at the second Bail hearing he stated that he did not know. This was discussed in WS Thread #42.

The magistrate's role is to decide if there is sufficient evidence on which a jury could convict to send the defendant to trial in the District Court or Supreme Court.

the prosecutor will present the case against the defendant and call witnesses to obtain their evidence
the defence lawyer or defendant may cross-examine these witnesses

Wasn't it mentioned in the last few days that all the evidence (written statements, etc) form part of the hearing? So the prosecution may not need to question witnesses much because they would have already submitted their case in the written reports? The magistrate can then use all information to make a decision. Ali might be able to shed light on this.

I think the forensic accountant, and the two former business partners up next into the witness stand will be the thing that makes Gerard the most uncomfortable.. he couldnt give two hoots about autopsy, shaving marks, dog barks, whatever..

But the inferences made by the forensic accountant will go to the heart of Gerards delusion of himself. I do expect the forensic accountant to outline the urgency of Gerards need to a big whack of money immediately, his inability to understand debit and credit, his amateur attempts at cooking the books, his mad juggling propping up this debt with that debt. His house of cards, in other words.

Which brings me to the horrible conclusion. .. that while the rest of Australia was praying and hoping for a live Allison to walk down the street, Gerard, and only Gerard was hoping, day in , day out, every minute, that the body of Allison would be found before his fiscal deadline arrived.. to put it in Gerard terms.. his million dollar payout was lying hidden under the Kholo bridge.. it had to be found to claim the money. He couldnt afford to wait a whole 7 years for a missing person to be declared dead by some finicky coroner down the track.

I often wonder if he actually considered dropping an anonymous tip to the search and rescue blokes. .. and how many times he folded and unfolded the insurance policies while this unbearable wait went on for so long. Of course, he rang them THE DAY after a body was found and before it was identified.. he knew, alright, whos body it was.

I read this post with tears in my eyes (at work). Spot on Trooper.

Yes I think that is the case, do you are wwgy? I think the angry lady you mention was in the front corner so she had a good view of him, and the angry lady (who is also my hero, wish I was brave enough to say something to her today) was in the second front row, kind of behind her. Am I right wwgy?
