Pete Williams NBC news.... "This is workplace violence unlike the terrorist attack at Ft. Hood"

Good to see he is admitting Ft. Hood was terror attack!

Oh my goodness. I wonder what type of official he was?

I read that he was a Lt in the US Navy before the media redacted his name.

I don't know if that will come out to be true though.

Does that mean he could have been dishonorably discharged?

The uncertainty of the situation (i.e. are there still other suspects out there?) is so tough to deal with for first responders, those working at the Navy Yard and their families, and the citizens of Washington.

A Navy Cmdr got out of the bldg...was standing behind it it in the alley and talking briefly to a co-worker when shots rang out and the guy standing next to him, that he was talking to, fell to the ground with a bullet in the head. The Cmdr took off running and jumped a fence to get away.

interview with naval commander that heard the first shots inside, then helped get 150 people out after the fire alarm.. once outside a man from another building came up to him to ask what was going on and he was shot (commander thinks he most likely died). The commander ran and jumped a fence to get a way.

Was this the man that was said to have been shot while standing in front of CVS Pharmacy.

I found your commenter, and like you, hope that is wrong, so we aren't looking for anything bigger than what is already bad enough.

That said, my god. The comments under that article are so vile, ugly, and downright stupid that I feel like I need to shower after reading them. :scared:

Any news story these days about gun violence seems to generate this vile stuff. I must be abnormal- my first reaction is not to go on a public forum and spew hatred at the president.

The thing is they have to be looking at the footage from the cameras in the crime scene area. Maybe that is why they are looking for two other shooters.

the report was live

obe: he was inside the compound but standing outside the building. the man who was shot according to the commander walked up to the building from the "boiler room"

now: (live) it was NOT the chief petty officer. He was found at home. They are now getting the fingerprints from the dead shooter to get an id

also: there is video that lends credence to the other shooter(s)
