CNN reported that white male was carrying a hand gun and black male was carrying a long gun.

(Oddly enough, as this report was being made, a black male about that age ran by the camera with a long gun...he was bald, no gray sideburns though.)

Ages 40-50? And at least two of them... That doesn't really fit your typical "workplace shooter" does it?

What would two, possibly three men, in that age range have in common. An earlier report mentioned a possibility that one gunman was someone whose job status on base recently changed, but 1) those types of shooters typically act alone, and 2) I'm not sure that that wasn't said about a person who was later reported to be uninvolved.

Reminds me of years ago how, whenever there was an incident in Boston, Mayor Ray Flynn, or then-Senator Kerry, would always "just happen" to be jogging or bicycling by the location, and would stop for an on-camera comment on whatever was happening. :lol:

It makes sense not to call people's cell phones. If there are shooters still in the building(s), why alert them to where people are hiding?

Among other things.

I wonder if they cut cell phone service just in case.

The first shooting was outside the Navy Yard metro station, another shooting outside bldg 193 in the alley area as well as all the shooting within the building. I would suspect multiple shooters also.

MSNBC says the shooter is a 34 year old.

Also, 3 victims at hospital. All expected to live. One DC Police officer shot in leg, two women, one of them shot in the head.
