"Five girls who "appeared to lose consciousness" during sex assaults are shown in video recordings seized from Earl B. Bradley's home and pediatrics office in Lewes, according to a 471-count indictment handed down Monday by a Sussex County grand jury.

"Our worst fears have been realized," said one stunned woman, whose two girls were Bradley's patients several years ago. The new details emerged in the indictment, which accused Bradley of raping or sexually abusing 103 children.

Told that the indictment said some victims appeared to become unconscious or stop breathing during the attacks, the woman was at first speechless.

"Oh my God," she finally said. "He's just pure evil. No one with a conscience could do this......."

There is a place in Hell waiting for this man!

From the above link. I am literally sick with worry that Bradley traded these videos, assuring the silence of certain authorities.

"Pedophiles sometimes make video recordings, Goldstein said, as trophies of their conquests as well as a means to fantasize about and "relive their experience."

In one pedophile case he followed, Goldstein said, the predator labeled video recordings with the date, child's age and sex act and other details of the assault.

"They go to great lengths to make records, mostly for their own use, but when they find themselves in contact with others, which is not hard to do with the Internet, they share and exchange files," Goldstein said.

Though Biden has said the investigation is ongoing, authorities have not indicated Bradley shared the files with other pedophiles."

"On Friday, board members relased a consent document in which Bradley said he "voluntarily agrees" to transfer of his patients' records to other professionals, and agrees to the seizure of his offices' medication stocks, needles and other supplies "in order to protect the public......."

Does this statement concern everyone as much as it does me? Was this monster drugging these children with Versed, GHB or some other amnesiac injection? From what I've read, both these drugs can take affect in 10-15 minutes and the effects last 2-4 hours. I wonder what happens if you give just a tiny bit by injection? We know that the children were taken for a "shot". What if it wasn't for a typical vaccine but was instead to make them forget? This is so chilling.

Inside the Bradley indictment

"The indictment of former Lewes pediatrician Earl Bradley could be described as novel-like in length and scope -- a seemingly endless series of charges.

The more-than-160 page indictment lists 103 child victims, including one boy, and 471 total counts, describing a continuing pattern of abuse over 11 years. Most of the charges are for first-degree rape, second-degree rape, unlawful sexual contact and sexual exploitation of a child.

Other charges include four counts of reckless endangerment, four counts of second-degree assault and nine counts of continuous sexual abuse. The charges were based on evidence contained in 13 hours of video files, computer hard drives and digital media files seized from Bradley’s home and office, BayBees Pediatrics on Route 1 in Lewes.
The earliest incidence of abuse listed in the indictment is alleged to have taken place on or around Dec. 10, 1998, with the most recent case on Dec. 13, 2009. Bradley was arrested on Dec. 16, 2009.

Forty-four counts relate to a single child, who was raped several times over a period of more 13 months. The indictment alleges, on June 7, 2008, Bradley forced this victim to perform oral sex on him, denying her sufficient ability to breathe to the extent she appeared on the videotape to lose consciousness or stop breathing....."

oh...........my..............god

and im sorry, 44 times? 13 months? the parents never caught on? i know i said unless its obvious....but seriously, no warning signs?

  • #487
Sure there were warning signs. But to many parents, doctors are still gods who can do no wrong. You wouldn't believe how many parents of the victims in the Dr. William Ayres child molestation case dismissed or ignored or swept under the rug warning signs-- for forty years.

im sorry, but there should come a time when even stevie wonder would see it.

I'm finding some snips of old comments concerning Bradley which have since been removed. I've found "divorced in 1998", "didn't date after divorce", "didn't like middle aged women", "never consummated the marriage". Hmmmmm

I'm not trying to expose Bradley's wife--really I'm not. I'm sure she's sequestered somewhere. I hope she and the children have a spokesperson. I'd just like to understand more about what went on before 1998, when she supposedly divorced him and he started his video-taping.

Were his children truly left with him? If she left in 1998, he would have been approximately 45 when she left. Early on in this thread, we found some sort of nursing service registered by a female at one of Bradley's Lewes' address. A commenter stated that the kids were already in college but I don't see how that's possible. I've found two kids who are currently around 25-26. They wouldn't have been in college.

And one would think with a physician, he'd not have had kids at an extremely young age as he would have busy with his training and education. I'm surprised that no one in Lewes is commenting on these kids and their possible victimization. I'd love to hear that earlier victims (and oh, we know those people exist) are coming forward. Remember the comment by the woman who said Bradley was already molesting in the 70s while he taught at Shriners? Found it:

http://www.supportingsaferhealthcar...-arrested-on-multiple-child-rape-charges.html

"This guy worked as a teacher at Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia by 1975. I know this because I met him there when my 14 years old sister was recovering from a scoliosis surgery in that hospital. He was her teacher and I (who was then 18) even went out with him a couple of times. We went bowling and also went to see a play. At that time he said he wanted to be an actor, never said anything about studying medicine. I am so shocked by this. This is horrible........."

Note: I'm not listing the name of this poster as I believe it might be her actual name but it is at the link.

Can you imagine knowing that you'd dated the guy. My Lord.

kbl--You trust me I think. You've gotten to know what kind of Mom I am. I would think that most WSers would say I'm about as vigilant as you get. Well, look what our kids' rapist got by with.

Broken record over here and a mea culpa. Parents really really don't want to hear these things. They rationalize and minimize until the cows come home. I don't think it's any different than trying to ignore that lump in a breast or a testicle for a while. You really don't want to imagine it could be true. Ignore it and it'll go away. Please make it go away.

Most parents are just dumb-struck as, remember, it happened on our watch. That means guilt. You mean, this proves we failed to protect our baby? Trust me, good parents have more guilt than you could ever grasp. Check back with me once you have that first little precious one.

Poor little guy'll probably never be out of the baby sling.....until he's 32.

So, if the above comment about Shriners is true, Bradley was a teacher in his early 20s. When was he licensed to practice medicine?

Not sure of that date Izz, but my gentleman friend's sis worked at Shriners. Only not that far back I don't think. I meant to ask her about this when I saw her because she is great friends with her past co-workers. I'll ask her.

I know he worked out of Jeff. That's Thomas Jefferson Pediatrics here in Philly. The guy was everywhere.

I'll definately ask beau of mine's sister about Shriner's.

you know when i was kid this whole priest molestation thing was starting to come to light. one day my mom and i were in the car and out of the blue she just blurted out 'scottie, did any of our priests ever touch you in a bad way or making you do something you didnt want to do'. i was shocked....i was literally stunned into silence for what seemed like 5 hours.....she naturally took this to mean someone had, i said 'no, no mom, never.' (its kinda ironic she thought it possible i was being abused at church but not by grandma at home) i mean i really was stunned by the question and it didnt even happen to me. i can imagine what a reaction for a kid who had would be.

They'd be one of many ways.

K, your mom asked in the only way she knew how. Plus she's from a different generation. There's no rule book or help in how to go about asking your child such a thing. Well, now there is, but when your mom asked I'd say there wasn't.

Your mom was trying to protect you. Again the silence doesn't mean you were or weren't. Parents don't know that.

Soooooooooooooooooooo. when someone says to a an adult victim of child sexual abuse "Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't I know about this? You know you could have told me". Errrrrrr, cause you'd flip out like ya are now or ummmmmm, because daddy would have blew his brains out or even hmmmmmmmmmmm, I didn't know what IT was at the time.

Good post though, k. I can also add I'm around 50 years old. If we came home and said Sister whacked me ten times with a ruler. One of our parents then said "What did you do to deserve it?" Sometimes then they'd smack you as well. It was Priests, Nuns, Doctor's were held in high esteem. Not until people came out saying "Father Freak has now been determined to have sexually assaulted ten boys on a retreat" did people go "WTF? Could this have happened to my kids?"

O/T I had a friend who is now deceased. He went to an all Catholic boys High School. Later he got into drugs bad. He was a male hustler. Father Freak who had taught him and many of the other hustlers hanging under the El made daily visits to pick up a trick. Anyway, after the sex/money exchange went down this 🤬🤬🤬 "Priest" would tell them they sinned and needed absolution. THis is an absolutely true story. The guy died in the midst of the lid coming out on the big cover up. the Priest I mean, but sure enough indeed he was one of the Priests involved.

I hate this world and every pervert in it. Your mom though, k was trying to do what she thought was right.

kbl--It's because of your Mom's way of asking that new ways were devised. I'd actually had some training in taking disclosures. That's why my response was not like your Mom's. I'm actually encouraged that she had the strength to ask. Remember, when you ask, you have to be prepared to react.

That's why I just did this silent mantra, plastered on a calm face and said, ".....and then what happened?"

Times have changed. Mercyneal is so right. No parent wants to "hear". No child wants to hurt/let down/disappoint/frighten a parent by this type of disclosure. Children read us like a book. Think about how that single interaction stayed with you all these years.

When we are told shocking news ie. the sudden death of a loved one, what are the first words out of our mouth?

"No, it can't be."

  • #495
FWIW, I just spent the last hour or so reading up on Dr. Bradley's kids. Suffice it to say, they are all high achieving kids making a name for themselves in very respected fields. They do all seem to be between 25-30. Thank goodness they have a common last name.

  • #496
oh absolutey filly, i wasnt saying my mom was wrong........it just hit me like a ton of bricks.
what i was saying, is i can see how hard it would be for someone who was actually molested in that type situation, to answer.

the ironic part, as i have stated previously, is that when i told my mom or my grandpa (who was essentialy my dad) about the verbal mental and emotional abuse my grandmother was inflicting, i was never believed. so it was easier for them to believe some stranger, or church priest, was hurting me, then someone living in the same house.......

sorry i havent posted this earlier. i got caught up in the unbelievable nonsense about shayna davis' mom getting out on bail......

Pedophile Pediatricians Remain In Shadows

Posted: Thursday, 25 February 2010 10:26AM

LEWES, Del. (CBS) -- The case of Dr. Earl Bradley follows a pattern: whispers in the community, sporadic complaints to authority, and no action.

"She just came out and said, 'Why did Dr. Bradley kiss my tongue?'" said one mother, who called the police that day.

That day was five years ago, when her daughter was three years old. She is one of half-a-dozen parents CBS News interviewed who know their children were molested and asked their identities be concealed.

"The state prosecutors felt that there wasn't enough evidence to charge him or to go in with a search warrant," said a mother. "It was devastating."

The shock and anger that has cast a dark cloud over this town is not confined to Lewes, Del., reports CBS News chief legal correspondent Jan Crawford. In doctor's offices in other towns in other cities across America there are predators that parents trust to heal their children, not to hurt them.

Over the last decade alone, in states across the country, nearly 20 pediatricians have been charged with abusing children. Those are the criminal cases, but most complaints never get past state medical boards.

Pediatrician Eli Newberger is a professor at Harvard Medical School. He compares pediatric child abuse to the priest scandal that rocked the Catholic Church.

"We're dealing, I think, with a systemic problem, in which there is a reluctance to act on the part of colleagues for the various business and collegial reasons, and an organized cover-up," Newberger said.

Just last October, Michael Roy Sharpe was charged with raping a patient - a teenage girl. He had been fired from two hospitals in Tennessee after accusations of sexual misconduct, but he was never disciplined by medical authorities and set up practice in Alabama.

Colleagues of Dr. Robert Marion in South Carolina allegedly had heard complaints about him abusing children, but they simply asked him to leave the practice. He moved into another office in the same building and kept many of his same patients. They never knew about his predatory behavior until he was charged with abusing four children.

"If the perpetrator is one of their colleagues and the reporting would ruin that man's life and career, they would much sooner not report even if it endangered children," Newberger said.

"There is a code of silence," said attorney Craig Karsnitz. "And I think that code was upheld to the nth degree in this case."

Remarkably, shockingly...some parents really don't want to know. So, I have a question. If your child learns that you "don't want to know", will they bury their secret forever? This is like a bolt of lightning, cancer, or a head-on. Nobody wants to deal with the pain and aftermath. Parents don't get a choice. It's time to step up and support your children...hard as it may be. The truth must be revealed.

Child sex abuse scandal stuns Del. town

"For years, Brandy Little worked as a nurse for the Delaware pediatrician accused of molesting more than 100 of his young patients. Dr. Earl Bradley treated two of her children, his four kids sometimes baby-sat hers, and her oldest daughter even spent the night at his house.

Now the mother of three — along with thousands of other parents whose kids were treated by the quiet, disheveled doctor — has been asked to provide photos of her children to see if they match images on 13 hours of video that prosecutors say Bradley took to document his alleged crimes.

But Little and other parents aren't sure they want to know....."

and

""I don't know how I would be able to cope with that," she said. "I think it would kill me if my child were to be identified."
