Debate Thread for Caylee is alive

Ahhh you know what HailieJade77- I'm done...I'm not angry. I just won't debate anymore. One of my kids is off of school today. He has a fever...he just woke up and I am going to get off here. Of course I forgive you. Have an absolutely wonderful day!

I am sorry if anyone took offense to my post. I didn't mean to cause any trouble. When I asked "do you have children?" sentence, it wasn't to make anyone feel bad. I shouldn't have stated it that way. What I was trying to say is that MOST parents wouldn't do what Casey did after Caylee went missing. They would yell to the roof tops for help. I didn't mean any harm. Please don't leave on my account.

I'm sorry. I should have snipped that post that I quoted. I do not agree with the beginning of it. From what I've read it appears that most who believe that Caylee is still alive are mothers or grandparents of young children. Pretty hard to look at your own and imagine something so horrible.

I have a 3 yr old grandbaby named Kailyn. Before this case I was always calling her my "Kailee Baby". I can no longer call her that. :(

Is there something to go on where you all can help me believe that Caylee is alive? I would love to cross back over and want to see what others see.

I understand.

See, I went in the total opposite direction from most people. I was at first convinced that Caylee was dead and that Casey did it. With the caveat that I am a well known contrarian who almost never follows the majority opinion, I slowly found more and more reasons to doubt that scenario and it wasn't something I went looking for. I have no illusions and I know that mother's kill their children every day. It is just that for me, there is enough reasonable doubt to give me hope.

Same here.
My bf and I were on vacation with the kids in Orlando when Caylee's story broke on the news. The first thing out of my mouth to Matt was, "Oh god, you know that baby is dead!"

I just don't want to believe she's gone.

A question posed for the purpose of debate:

Does believing Caylee is alive mean believing Casey's statements are true?

For me, that would mean reviewing all of Casey's statements, many of which we have read or heard. Do her statements ring true? Is there contradiction within her statements?

Just food for thought.

I hope this thread doesn't get closed. Debate is a healthy form of discussion. However, I realize that some people can't debate, they are just not hard-wired to do so.

[Quoting myself so I can have a few more points in same post.]

I have come to believe that little Caylee is deceased. However, I am interested in looking at alternative theories. If I consider the "alive theory" then I must look at the statements of her mother Casey. Those statements lead me to some basics:

Caylee was left with Zenaida.

Casey doesn't know where Caylee is.

Casey last heard from Caylee around the time of Casey's arrest. Caylee sounded fine and was chatting about kid stuff.

(At this point, I am considering "the script" as hearsay.)

I just wanted to throw this out there and it probably has been covered but don't you think it's possible for her to be acting the way she does is because:

1. She really does know where she is
2. She trusts whoever she gave her to

Just a thought

Respectfully snipped...

Did you catch that she had an answer for everything LE asked?

She explained away how Caylee was fine, then explained away that she's always fine when she talks to her.

I agree that Casey is very easily manipulated. When LE asked yes/no questions, she answered the obvious but when asked for extended answers it seemed she made it up as she went along.

But that June 9 date is still up on the OCSO website. There must be a reason for that.

OCSO

There is a reason . . . it is the date that Casey stated was the day she dropped Caylee with the nonexistent Nanny.

Ok.. going with that a bit further... Why would this 'trustworthy' person not step forward, knowing Casey is POI in a possible murder?

Because they are both so long, I'm going to give you links to two posts I made about why I think Caylee may be alive. Feel free to quote and dissect if you like:

#3 She is to scared to talk for fear someone will harm Caylee

I wish, there were no other evidence and that Casey, when threatened with Child Services by Cindy, had taken Caylee and gave her to someone so that Child Services and Cindy could not find her, whether to spite or not unknown. I wish, that Casey was being quiet because she thinks that once the child neglect charges are over and time is served, that she can continue her life with an option of seeing Caylee whenever she wants. I wish, this person who would have been given Caylee, would be someone that loved Caylee much, that Casey had told horrible lies to about her parents mistreating Caylee, and that that person would be out there, thinking that she is doing the right thing because she is saving Caylee from abuse by someone. Man, if this was true in some miraclous way, that person would be seeing the raging tantrums and anger coming out of the grandparents and brother and would only be feeling more and more reassured that she is doing the right thing. This is all a huge wish and it could only be so if there were no other evidence I understand. Just thought I would throw it in.

I agree, Casey has an answer for everything. That is one of the things that has bothered me from the beginning. When she was talking with her brother LA on the initial jail tapes, the answers were just flowing out of her. Even quick thinkers have to pause a bit sometimes to gather up their thoughts for a response. With Casey it's always Too Much Information!

there is no record of this phone call according to LE.

apparently this is not a debating thread but a bashing thread for those that attempt to debate. I am upset and I respectfully withdraw my debate.

Do I believe that Caylee is alive? Nope...not in my heart or my head...Do I attempt to see things through open eyes and not tunnel vision...Oh heck yeah...Have a wonderful day!

No bashing, come on -- let's debate. It is not that difficult if you have restraint.

Respectfully, those who believe Caylee is alive, please help us understand how you believe she still is alive with the dog hits, decomp in trunk, 30+ days with no Caylee contact, Cindy, George, LE, and Tow Yard owner statements about "dead body smell" . . .

Two points to make here: Casey didn't have supportive parents, they were not supportive of her, Caylee had supportive grandparents. If they were truly supportive of Casey, I believe she wouldn't have had to lie about her job. As we can see both grandparents have already raged to strangers, so how bad might they have been if behind closed doors? The second point is, I've seen pimps come out and report their girls missing after they've sent them on the street...so I find it pretty hard to believe that a mother would'nt report her own child missing even if illegal activity was involved. She had plenty of time to weigh it out, there is no way Casey would rather look at a murder charge than any other charge if that was a possibility. Look at her lawyer yesterday...he is too scared to even give a basic story. If she was innocent at the very least he could say, Casey last saw Caylee here in the custody of _______. Even if not giving a name, he could say a friend or whatever. But he can't because he doesn't know what evidence LE has and they are going to try to build a story around it.

In the tapes/transcripts of her "interrogation" she said she absolutely doesn't trust the person she gave her to. Then when asked about that, she said she doesn't trust them NOW. So, does she trust them? Hmmm . . .

I don't think it is so much the idea that many here are CONVINCED that Caylee is alive, it is that there are at least a few facts that indicate that she COULD be alive. They choose to hope that the small chance will turn out to be the miracle they hope for in this case.

My own small belief comes more from general concepts than facts:

1. A Zanaida does exist at the right place at the right time. She could easily have lied about knowing Casey, just as Casey could have lied in saying she did not recognize that ZG. While there is no evidence she ever lived at Sawgrass, it is possible that she could have been staying there in an apartment under someone else's name. It is also possible that someone else was using her name. People believe CA used this name fraudulently, why then couldn't someone else have done the same?

2. The strange story and behavior of Kiomare who had WANTED Caylee for some time. In addition to the supposed connections that posters have made between her and ZG.

3. I find the cryptic statements from JG's family to be interesting, along with the behavior of JG at the exact time of Caylee's disappearance.

4. Casey seemed to truly love Caylee, so many pictures, and Caylee looked happy in pictures with Casey. While some question this, it is NOT EASY to get a 2 1/2 to 3 year old to take dozens of pictures with someone they do not trust or feel comfortable with.

There are more, but this gets to the point. There are questions about people in this story that have no answers yet, just as there are no clear answers yet on the forensic evidence.

Maybe someone really did take Caylee. Maybe he/she saw Casey as unfit and wanted to keep Caylee to him/herself. If this person would go into the, what do you call it - that place that parents go to get help to change their identifies and to keep their children safe - the underground something. That could be the reason this person has not returned Caylee.
