ABC linking to nestcam on their site. If we thought 31 million was a lot, wonder how many more now that this story has gone all national MSM, lol

Mom is feeding. The wind almost knocked her over.

  • #363
mom and dad are both there now

  • #364
Dad brought a fish. :)

such a dedicated provider is dad :) That one he just brought almost seems to still be moving/alive. Sashimi anyone? Probably just the wind.

  • #366
looks like the eaglets are getting the old tuck under treatement again, lol. That wind is making me nervous so I am glad.

It looks like I see alot of guyliner right now. Is that dad we are seeing now? TIA.

I finally get to see it for a few minutes! I love it..isn't nature amazing? Just to watch him/her whatever feeding the babies.

ETA: This is what "parents" do. They don't kill their young.IMO

I'm trying to figure out who that is but the shot is pretty far back and the pixelation is horrible. If they could zoom in a bit it would be easier to see but I'm pretty sure it's dad.

Yep, definitely dad. He seems to like to rearrange the nest more than mom does too.

I noticed that earlier today when Dad flew in!!! Mom moved back off of the babies and she looked at him, then she looked off to her right and it was just like she heard that there was a sale at Macy's or something... she just took off! It was like, "I have sat here ALL day yesterday, and I barely got ANY sleep last night... now that you are here to watch the kids, I am out of here!!". And you know what he did??? He was a great Dad!! He took over cuddling the kids - he stepped on one before he settled down to cover them, but he was trying... After being there for a few minutes, he started in on cleaning out the nest. He was pulling old fish, and "pieces" out of that nest that I had no idea was buried down in there!! I figured Mom must be a WS'er and did not have time to clean house.... :giggle:

Good summary! That's kind of how I look at them too. I give them human mom and dad traits.

I like the idea of dad doing the housework!

Can't tell who is on the nest now and his/her head is buried and appears to be sleeping. But it is for sure. Someone brought a fish or something in a few minutes ago. Food seems to be plentiful, which is good.

Watching that tree sway is scaring me to death.

Watching the video right now just makes me want to huddle down over them! I bet it is the Mom on point right now, but I can't really tell, who is huddled over those amazing, blessed, and important to the world babies!!! The parent is hunkered down and not getting a good night's sleep, but they are doing what good parents do - putting the children first! Oh, how I wish I could bestow the noble grace of these Eagles on the parents of humanity!!!! God keep them all through the night and the wind and storms.

Boy that nest is really rocking and rolling tonight. When is this wind supposed to die down? I hope its within the next few hours. Poor mama (?) - she's hanging on and hanging in there.
