Went in with ticket, then exited the theatre through a back door, propped it open, got the car, drove it around to the back door entrance, got his weapons, went back into door, went into hallway and back into theatre.

Just wrote down what was said off this link:

This does not make sense because it would take him at least 15 minutes to put on all his gear.

And if he entered the theater, people would have seen him entering that door with all his gear on, and it would draw suspicion to him. Would it not?????

That has me scratching my head. DH says it is because they roughed him up. I wonder if it is because he did dye his hair red.

Who knows...

I had the same thought as your DH.

I know a reporter asked the Police Chief during the presser about his hair being dyed red, but I don't think he answered, I could be wrong, but I sure don't remember a reply!

Witnesses say someone exited through the exit BEFORE the movie, so there was time to put on gear and get his weapons before coming back in. He also set off 2 devices, possibly tear gas. No one was suspicious of him because often times movie theaters have characters and special events at midnight showings..many thought that is what he was. He also began opening fire during a gun fight, many didn't even realize it was real at first.

As CNN, a guy answered his phone went to exit, propped door open, sounds like he was directing someone to the door went back to his seat. 15-20 minutes later a man entered in all black.

A witness is saying that the two different people had different builds.

I think Chief Oates refused to comment, although he did say he had spoken with NYPD, evidently before Chief Kelly made his statement re: the red hair. And I wonder if he gave Kelly that info; I believe Oates said he had been employed by NYPD in the past.

Well, I have got to get off here for now, but there is a witness on CNN right now talking about the person who opened the emergency door. He said it looked as though he was directing someone outside...don't know how true it is though!

No, given that it was a Batman movie and a lot of fans go to opening night in their favorite costumes from the movie franchise: he probably blended in...

Guys, have we heard anything else about the guy that took a phone call and opened the exit door? He may not have been another shooter, however he could have been an accomplice. Have the police stated anything to this, I know they stated that there is no second shooter, but I would really like them to address that issue as far as him opening the exit door, then standing there and waiting, then going back to his seat.. It sounds like the shooter called him, and for whatever reason the shooter was delayed in getting in that door.

i'm thinking it was the shooter himself. if he was taking a phone call during the movie he would have had to have left to hear the phone.

If he had no gear on inside, and then went out and came back in with gear he would look completely different. I am pretty sure he acted alone and he was the one who propped open the door.

They never said he exited. They said that he answered his phone, went to the exit, propped the door open with his foot, waited there for 10 -15 minutes then went and took his seat. At no time did this gentlemen leave the building, all he did was prop the door open. After he took his seat, then it was 15 minutes after that that a guy dressed in all black entered through the exit door that was propped open! This has been confirmed by numerous witness's. They all report that a man took a phone call, and they found it really strange that he went to the exit door, rather then go to the lobby to take the call like most people do.

He looks perfectly normal to me - which is more frightening really.

What a horrible tragedy, and so completely senseless.

looks totally normal to me too

We knew very quickly that Jessica was killed. So why can't we know the status of Alex Sullivan?

Someone was with Jessica when she died and told her family. Alex's family has heard nothing.

i can't wait to hear from any friends or people that went to school with him to see what kind of person they thought he was. just so weird to go from PhD student to mass murderer

I have never heard Governor Hickenlooper speak before but he sounds like his voice is wavering, cracking a little.

Made me a little more sad.
He has always struck me as a very sincere person. He almost made me cry.

I'm not talking about his hair. I'm talking about coming into the theater with his bullet proof vest, throat guard, and head gear as well as other protective gear, while carrying a rifle would not draw suspicion, to me it sure as heck would!!!

The fact that he allowed himself to be taken, alive, and without resisting says to me that he has something to say to the world. It may be delusional, but he has something to say. (Like Timothy McVeigh maybe.)

Okay, we still don't know where the evacuees get to go, or if they have to stay out for long. It was just addressed on the live link, and they just did not answer. Not that we need exact location, just that they have somewhere to go and be taken care of in some way.

People dress up in seriously ridiculous outfits to come to these things and rifles can be easily concealed underneath clothing. My boyfriend has an SKS that he can easily conceal under his regular clothing. He is a very large man, but I am sure most men could pull it off if they were wearing the right clothing.
