- either he erased everything (as kind of a "joke" on LE that after all the painstaking work in dismantling his booby trap there is nothing to be found),

MOO

He could easily zero out the HD multiple times , I just do not think he could count on his booby trap so as to destroy laptops. If so he would have placed call to police himself to make sure his plan would succeed.

He could have several e-mail addresses for all we know. I have two thoughts on the computers - either he erased everything (as kind of a "joke" on LE that after all the painstaking work in dismantling his booby trap there is nothing to be found), or he has some type of manifesto on it citing everything he perceives wrong with the world (which in his mind could lend credibility to an expected insanity defense). LE has my sympathy going through those computers however since he may also have a ton of academic related material on them.

MOO
I'm kinda leading he left a manifesto. If the plan failed it's there. Forensically. Did he count on that? The fact that he didn't kill himself or have LE do it tells me there is something left on that computer and we will never hear it from him :moo: Game on!

He could have. But then again, maybe not. There was enough stuff in his apartment to make a really big BOOM. His plan almost worked, if that girl from downstairs decided to get in, it would have blown up. So, if he expected it to blow up, he might have not erased his computer.

Was the Korean guy already interviewed? It seems like the big news site are not covering that YPL , i saw couple mention at Twitter with his FB on it , and they say that some sources are saying somebody call or texted using JH's phone and is threatening some violence if JH will not be released . Sources said it was traced to YPL's router and i am thinking that they are using the app called Viber to send the text via Internet.
I think this came up last night and was quickly squashed by LE. I think they interviewed an associate and when it was reported he was a possible accomplice-they came out pretty quickly clarifying it was not so. usually they don't do that-but they were intentionally not releasing his name. we just don't have enough info at this point.
So please be sure to leave it off board. If things change- so do we.
thanks.

Quoting myself here I just thought of something. What if he did just that? Call the police himself, wait for them to respond. Watch the chaos that would ensue like a firestarter watches fires. Then go on his rampage.

I'm about 20 minutes from Joplin and when Obama came just after the tornado, got to hear his speech (well, on TV, but still). One line stood out, just like the one I posted above did, from his Aurora remarks: "There are heroes all around us all the time."

And there are.

That made me think of something. The girl from downstairs thought the door was unlocked. Did he deliberately leave it unlocked in the very hope that someone coming to complain about the music might push it open?

ETA: Just jumping off from your post, question not directed at you, jjenny.

As always. We are already enlightened and inspired by those that have rallied 'round to heal the pain of those that have suffered. IMO.

AP SOURCE: BATMAN MASK FOUND AT SUSPECT APARTMENT
AURORA, Colo. (AP) — A law enforcement official says investigators have found a Batman mask inside the apartment of the Colorado shooting suspect who opened fire at a midnight premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises."

The official spoke to The Associated Press on Sunday on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press.

Just read that the mother of the 6 year old who died is pregnant- said her and baby are clinging to life. How terrible.

Amazing, isn't it? In the midst of the horror and the disbelief.........we rally. As a people we rise to it.........always. Is this the lesson? Evil can strike but will never prevail? I wonder?
