I agree with Seriouslysearching and bykerladi. Tucker is a first class a-hole for recording that phone conversation to begin with and then turning it over to purposely destroy his father. Dog should absoultely not say that word and he is wrong for that. Surely this will be a wake-up call for him; while he has the right to say it in his own home, he is teaching everyone around him, esp. his young children that it is an acceptable word. Maybe this will be the end of the n word being used in their household and business.

But Tucker is wrong and I hope the entire family cuts him off.

I don't think this is true that "most" parents do not want their children dating someone of a different race. In my opinion, most parents want their children to be happy and loved, regardless of the race. Of course, I'm speaking as a white woman married to a black man.

BTW, my parents love my husband because of the way he loves me.

I think most parents want thier daughters to be happy, loved and well taken care of. I'm sure that's what my in-laws were worried about.

I've said things in private that I'd be mortified to say in public. :angel: We should be allowed to voice our honest thoughts in private. This has not one thing to do with Dog's TV show and he shouldn't be punished by the network.

I can tell you that there are things that I would say in the privacy of my own home that I would not want sold to the Enquirer. I am not talking about profanity or degrading comments, I am just not kind sometimes I guess. No one is perfect and if there are those among us who believe that they have never said things that they should not have said well, I won't be the one to tell you that you are not telling the truth. That is something you can figure out for yourselves. Do I think that he should have used the N word? NO! Would it be ok if he called a white girl trailer trash or white trash, or a white skanky B----! Yes it would!!!! No one would be up in arms about that now would they.

I agree. That would be considered acceptable. People wouldn't like it, people might be mad, but production of his show certainly wouldn't have been stopped. So why the double standard?

I know nothing about this Tucker kid (was he ever on the show? I don't watch it anymore), but maybe he's a messed-up person?? I thought a lot of Dog's kids had issues with substance abuse, trouble with the law, etc. So maybe he's one of those? I don't know but I wouldn't think someone who is on the straight-and-narrow would do that to his own flesh and blood.

While what he said was horrible, if you have EVER fought with a teenager for a period of a month over dating a person you feel is a true threat to their well being...or as in this case...your wife's life included...you might say some very ugly things to "shake" them into listening. The frustration level grows and you can finally lose it. I think this is what happened here.

I'm thinking the same thing. Though I don't condone him using the N word, I think he was at his wits end trying to point out to his son that his girlfriend was no good. If my son's girlfriend had threatened my wife, she wouldn't be allowed to step on my doorstep. Not until a very humbled apology was given from her.

Well Shopper I don't care who I offend, I happen to agree with your statement above. All races have their "N"'s. And I was not raised to feel this way, I have this opinion because of my experiences. I personally do not like the N word. I just feel like if the tables were turned and someone had said White Trash this would not be news.

It also wouldn't be news if they said "honkey," "cracker," or "white boy." Even though none of these words ever bothered me.

The tape is NOT fake as Dog admitted to it. I'm pretty sure his show is OVER on A&E. In the politically correct climate we live in A&E can't keep his show on with Dog saying nigg*er repeatedley.

It's pretty obvious he's a racist for not wanting his son to date a black girl. Imagine if he had a daughter and she was dating a black guy?? He'd probably kill him! LOL!

It's true most whites don't want their kids dating blacks BUT most whites don't say nigg*er.
