Caylee's death was determined by Dr. G as homicide by undetermined means.

This could be devastating. Possibly more searching could turn this around.

But LE stated last week they have found as much of him as they are going to . So something has lead to make this statement for whatever reason .

Anyone have any ideas as to what would be a fantastic hiding place for a backpack but not a body? I don't know why someone would bother to hide them separately, unless maybe there was some evidence on the pack.

The middle of the lake? Maybe the pack would sink but the body wouldn't stay.

Maybe some small but inaccessible space in a building? Not a good place for a body.

One crazy idea I had would be to donate it and the contents to a thrift store, after buying a load of other used goods at a different thrift store to provide camouflage. If no one realized it was the missing pack, it would go to a new owner, none the wiser.

In general, why not just leave the pack with the body?

It sounds like the coroner is saying neither cause nor manner of death can be determined. I hope I'm wrong.

They probably continued searching but found nothing more. Maybe they should widen the search area if the coroner is now telling them there is not enough remains to determine the manner of death.

That makes sense as did they not found some of his shoulder blade and a few other bones . I think they needed the skull intact as I think a blow to the head may of killed him (IMO)

"I've been up on Middle Mountain several times driving through there, trying to see if there's any particular area that kinda stands out to me. It's a road about 10 miles long up into the back country, so I mean it's very heavily wooded...there's a million little side cutoffs for ya know ATV type vehicles and motorcycles er hiking trails and things like that, so there's a lot of land here that we're talking about to cover...ya know nothin specifically jumps out at me and that but ya know there have been locations throughout ..cuz right now you can only get so far up, um it wasn't until recently that I realized that they even had a gate up there, but at this point in the year there's still snow up there in the higher portion of this road, so they don't even have the gates open to be able to get up there. Now I do know in communicating with law enforcement that they've been up there and that's how I know this n that but ya know I don't know exactly where to look so I mean I get out and I can wander around and I can look and do whatever...but ya know the canine team...
======================================================

Here he is rambling on about the disposal site, assuring everyone he does not know exactly where to look and never even knew there was even a gate up there....

RBM - this is the part I listened to over and over last night when I was transcribing - he is talking about how " nothing specifically jumps out at me" and then talks about how "there have been locations throughout..." then stops himself and changes gears. I really wish I could have heard the rest of that thought.

Why would anything specifically jump out at him, what a strange statement, imo. Then starts to describe other locations.

Then again, he says the second time that he doesn't know where to look, so he just wanders around...

To throw LE off the scent if they found the back pack first by sticking it in a different location , maybe ?

Also earlier on I saw a post on here mentioning that Elaine and Mark was told about Dylan's remains at about the same time which I think is false if this to be believed ?

So Elaine and Cory was clearly in the loop and knew something was up by this account .

Here's something that indicates they were told about the same time (some time earlier than the public announcement on the same day as the announcement, a Thursday). I think I might have said they were told the previous day, which is wrong if so (and may have created what seemed to be a discrepancy in time when they were told).

"Earlier Thursday, Dylan's parents Mark and Elaine Redwine were asked to go to Durango to discuss the latest developments with investigators, according to KDVR."

This is just PURE SPECULATION on my part, but I believe that Elaine might have been told earlier than Mark's return. She and Cory and MH were all in on the search that week. I do believe they would have figured out that something big was happening.

And since she had already been working closely with LE, I believe they probably gave her a heads up that remains were possibly found. :rose: But she would certainly want it to be kept secret, so they could convince Mark to return from his road trip. JMO

Dumpster - many miles away, possibly even a different township with a different landfill.

I remember posting an article that said her and Cody had been working close with LE and had been informed items were found and sent off for id during the search. It's somewhere.

Gosh, looking at the map of the area, there's ways to get over to Middle Mountain Road. Maybe dirt roads/trails but it's possible. Around Tucker Lane there's one that goes as close as 500' or less from Middle Mountain Road.

Here's the article/video

Dylan Redwine's father, Mark Redwine, arrived at the La Plata County Sheriff's Office Thursday morning to be briefed about the discoveries.

Redwine's mother, Elaine Redwine, had been briefed earlier this week

Question for Anyone!

Could one of the culverts that service Vallecito Reservoir end up with debris in them that has flowed all the way down from Middle Mountain? Is this possible, or is it implausible because of the distance and/or it's not the system or function of a reservoir culvert?

Thank You. And that makes me feel much better. I would hate to think she was told this horrible news at the same time they told her ex.

And I doubt they would have. I think they had some behavioral experts watching closely when they shared the bad news with him. :cop:

I thought they were all told (what was it Tues) that some things had been found but they didn't say bones were found. and they waited till thurs when the dna came back and Mark came back and told them it was Dylan,

I might be wrong but.....

More and more "no body" murders are bing tried, so cause of death is not the absolute it once was.

You are right that this was the story put out by the press. But I am just saying that I think Elaine was filled in about the possibility of the remains, earlier than Thursday. Just speculating. But sometimes detectives and victim's families become very very close under these kinds of circumstances. I bet Elaine would be given this kind of loyalty and courtesy, to be given the hard truth immediately, and not to wait for her ex to return from his road trip, to hear the horrible news. JMO

:please:

THANK YOU CLU I really needed to hear this, my heart hurts

You are absolutely correct. That is at least one significant reason why Kyron Horman's case has not moved forward. It cannot be 100% ruled that Kyron is deceased because he has not been found. At least Dylan has been found, and they have proof that he is not alive and well somewhere. Because a child doesn't usually leave an electronic footprint behind, (ATM activity, etc.), it is much harder to prosecute a "no body" case. I believe that even if they can't determine the COD of Dylan, there are other factors at play here. Law enforcement has already matter-of-factly stated that this is a homicide investigation and Dylan's death was not the result of animals (paraphrased).
