We know he had access to the house. He entered the house, according to him, to retrieve a knife to supposedly cut Rebecca down. He's telling us he had access.

My question is...seeing as he had no problem accessing the inside of the house to retrieve said knife to cut Rebecca down then...who's to say he had no access hours earlier???

Do you think someone else in the house opened the door to the kitchen for him?

He entered the house but that doesn't equal him knowingly having access to it at any time. He didn't stay at the house, control the keys or the alarm system. He may have entered the house to retrieve a knife but technically, if he didn't have permission, he was trespassing.

I'll continue to hold the belief he was not aware the door was unlocked.

You did state as a fact that Adam had access to the house. Where has he or anybody else ever said he had access to the house whenever he wanted?

If you are going to keep implying the man is a killer, please provide a link to show Adam KNEW the house was unlocked and that he could enter at 6:30 AM or any other time or that he even wanted to.

I then questioned whether Adam did not also have access to the house at 3:00AM as well.

I don't believe AS ever told LE he had "access." I believe what he said was that he entered through an unlocked door. Is there evidence he would not have entered if the door had been locked? I do not believe AS knew the door was unlocked beforehand nor did he have the owner's permission to "access" any time he wanted.

I always assumed that the whole place was "open"/ unlocked, since I read that the alarm system was disabled. (I'm sorry, I don't have a link for that "alarm disabled" comment.) Clearly Adam was able to get in quickly.

I agree. I think if Adam thought he couldn't access main house...he most certainly would have contacted JS or looked in garage for an edge, frankly, seeing as he worked on a boat...carrying a knife would be second nature to him, IMO.

An alarm system would not have needed to be disabled for one to enter a house whether the door was locked or not. The alarm would have been silent. Where is the evidence AS knew the alarm was disabled?

Jonah?? The owner. His brother? Who he came to support in a time of crisis? He was SO estranged from Jonah that Adam would have been restricted from getting a snack in the kitchen, or using the microwave or fridge? Wow. I can't wrap my head around that.

Well, I guess we will have to agree that when Adam discovered Rebecca hanging, the knowledge of whether or not the alarm was disabled or the door was locked was not a priority for him. He wanted to get in and get a knife ASAP, from all indications, right? He was not worried about tripping an alarm. Locked door or not.

Maybe I'm off here, but it seems his priority was cutting Rebecca down? To see if maybe she was still alive?

That's what happened apparently. Floor plans to the guest house have been linked here many times and that's why I'm pretty sure it had a kitchen. Maybe it didn't but nobody has said AS knew when he saw the body that it would require a knife nor have I seen LE claim the guest house would have a knife or that it was closer.

He walks out of the guest house door and sees Rebecca strung up, bound and gagged. Instead of turning around and running to his guest house kitchen where knives most assuredly are, he runs across the courtyard to the main house to chance the main house kitchen door being unlocked?
