I give the woman credit as well. There's no way I could remain composed. I would lose it totally.
I keep thinking about how I would feel and what I would do if my child were missing, and I was convinced that I knew who was responsible. How would I stay away from that person? I'd be carried off from her doorstep in a straight jacket or a body bag. Considering the fear and frustration from such a situation, I don't know how I could remain composed, either. For the sake of my child, I suppose I'd have to place my faith in LE and follow their advice on how to proceed. I guess you find the strength when you know your child's life depends on it. I'd love to give DY a hug and let her know that I think she's doing a remarkable job. Her little Kyron would be very proud of his mom. :(

It is the most informative of all that I have watched today. Very important.

Here is what I don't get; why would LE be waiting, if they had evidence, now that Terri has an attorney? No lawyer is going to encourage her to confess before she has been charged with anything. He will at least wait to see charges and then determine if it is worth her while to try to work out a plea.

I think that Desiree wanted to plead with Terri and LE had no objections, but I doubt very much LE is holding their breath for Terri's lawyer to call up and say she is ready to talk. Not until/unless she is charged and not even then, unless the lawyer thinks the case against her is too strong.

  • #164
Someone answered my question on here that Desiree had kidney failure due to diabetes, but I still wonder if there might have been something hinky if Terri was in the picture when Kyron was born or even before. Desiree mentioned that Kyron saved her life, so maybe some condition became known during pregnancy.

  • #165
And, I would like to point out that Desiree said from her own mouth that she did NOT know Terri before Kyron was born. Her involvement with Kyron must have been through Kaine. It took her no time at all to move in on that target.

ETA: I see that Dairygirl is on the ball with this little nugget as well!

My feeling is that TH knew KH before the divorce.

  • #166
It's my opinion that the THEY Desiree refers to is Terri and her legal team. I'm guessing it's the language has changed to "us" (3 parents & LE) vs. "they/them" for LE & these 3 parents ever since Terri lawyered up. IMO

...edit/space
And my final thought is that if Kyron's disappearance is for revenge, she will have left Kyron to be discovered in a way that is particularly hurtful for Kaine. He needs to be thinking places that might be happy and meaningful to him. Places he might return to. Because you can bet she would head straight for it, just to destroy one more place for him.

Connect the dots. Last seen - perfect storm school event - murder-for-hire - cell pings - lies and more lies. And the ink connecting the dots is made of a deep dark hatred and the need for revenge.

IMO. at least for today.

You are so right. The whole thing has a meta-layer of game-playing and production. Dispassionate. There is design, and there will be possibly elaborate staging. ((Leaving the backpack behind ~))

IMO Terri is never ever ever going to give it up until Kaine is dead and she's in the mood to laugh at her own joke one day.

Gosh, I really should apologize for being so cranky today. But I don't feel like it, so tough nuggies. :furious:

I wonder how long KH was planning to play Wii with Ky after school? Were they going to get ice cream first & then play Wii?

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/07/kyron_hormans_family_press_mot.html

snipped:

"We talked about maybe going for a special treat and playing the Wii after school..."

Now, we're told that Ky was supposed to leave for Medford that afternoon/evening. I wonder how late they were planning on heading south? Even meeting halfway, it's still a long drive round-trip.

We do not know the reason for DY's kidney illness and I fail to see what it has to do with Kyron going missing. She is in pain. She is not a suspect in any way. .End of discussion.

This thread is also going on and off topic. Please take the time to view the information released today and discuss the interview.

This post is not about the post above and is landing randomly in the thread.

Oh no, the new automatic call system at the school called the parents to let them know Kyron isn't there.

Oh my goodness! This can't be true...I hope not...

how heartbreaking:(

I listened to the Medford statement again and the reporter said TH was to drive to meet DY in Eugene.

I noticed something else that I noticed and forgot...when DY is talking about what's most frustrating she says something along the lines of Kryon is somewhere, and we don't know where and "THEY'RE" not sharing. Who is THEY?

I think it's just a singular they:

Instead of saying "he or she" because most people use the singular they in everyday speech and often in writing too.

FWIW, I thought that Kyron's Step-Dad came over as one very solid citizen tonight in the Press Conference. Admittedly he had home court advantage playing in his own workplace but he seems to be doing a great job keeping the full court press on TH in place.

When they bring Kyron home, I think it will be in no small part due to having a man of Tony's background on the inside. JMoo

Yes they did receive a call on Monday from the new auto system...to tell them that Kyron was not in school, can you imagine...
please do listern to the kdrv link posted a few posts up...it is such an informative interview and Desiree is amazing. She is very clear on her feelings for Terri and I do think she is referring to Terri and lawyer when she says "they." But she also says that the reason she thinks Kyron is alive is because she is a mother and can't bear to think otehrwise, paraphrased, until she is forced to, so it does not sound like her feelings are based on any factual info. Very sad, but she is so classy and strong. She also talks about how much time she spent in Portland or driving back and forth to be with Kyron going to all sports events, etc, she is very active in his life, not just twice a month, and she repeats that she was not friends with Terri and did not meet her until Kyron was about 1.5 years old...

What???

The school did NOT have an automated call back system in place.

Interesting. Desiree says she did not meet TH for a year and a half, when Kyron was a year and a half old. So she must have known of her.

I don't think she's talking about Kaine. Kaine may not be sharing with the press, but he's likely come clean with LE and thereby Desiree & Tony as to any ups & downs the couple has had. He's had to share - this is part of the study of the "realness" of looking for a hitman, looking for a way to hurt Kaine. My guess is Kaine has had to overshare and get real about what the heck went wrong in his relationship with Terri to send her off seeking revenge.

If there's truth to Terri's 1st husband using meth at some point, Terri may not have to look too far for criminal friends.

And my final thought is that if Kyron's disappearance is for revenge, she will have left Kyron to be discovered in a way that is particularly hurtful for Kaine. OMG! This comment just hit me in the gut! If what I fear is true, then, yes, it would be particularly hurtful for Kaine, considering what little we know of his childhood. :(

From what Desiree said, I took it to mean they got a call yesterday (Monday)? That Kyron was not in school? Or did she mean the Monday of June 7th? What does anyone else think? Did the school have that up and running by June 7th? Her voice caught when she answered that...it made me sick for her, either way...
Yesterday would not make sense, though, since school has been long over, so I am baffled.

  • #178
A bit confusing that he says to look at what's in the media and to connect the dots, then later on they say that anything not coming from their mouths is probably false.

IIRC she said anything regarding their family/relationships, not anything in general. IMO she was primarily referring to statements that Terri or Terri supporters/family have made in the media - to take those with a grain of salt so to speak. MOO

Interesting. Desiree says she did not meet TH for a year and a half, when Kyron was a year and a half old. So she must have known of her.

She said she didn't know of Terri until after Kyron was born. I felt she was exercising supreme tact on the subject - same as she did on the morning junket.

IMO

I have to respectfully and totally disagree. DY has been very clear when she's talking about/to TH only. Plus, it seemed to be very spontaneous for her to say "they" when that word has, to my knowledge, not been used by her ever before. Although I agree with emma that she may have been referring to TH, her lawyer and the team, I definitely don't think it was just a singular they.
