IMO, the reason that TH sent her oldest child away from the home, is because she was diligently working on her plans to off Kaine....And there is nothing like having a 16 year old around that can over hear things and possibly also question where you have been and why, But once the Kryon missing case happened it was easier for TH and her Family & Friends to blame that on Kaine saying that they did not get along.

I am also very impressed with the strength and dignity that DY and TY showed at the press conference, truly breaks my heart.

I can't hear any of the questions, annoying. Like in the last few minutes of this video:
http://kdrv.com/page/180433
Just hear DY saying Correct, Correct, obviously he wasn't at school. What?

It breaks my heart hearing her voice crack.

It took me about year and a half before I even spoke to her....Guess that means that Terri was in Kaine and Kyron's life all that time, the ladies just weren't speaking. I guess the platonic live-in mother's friend slash nanny rescue thing is tossed out of the window now and the truth is Kaine and Terri were together from at least about the time he was born. Hum... not surprised. Just makes me wonder what else she refers to that is wrong information about the family. Probably some stuff that Terri's friends came up with but what exactly? Wish she'd elaborated.

Connect the dots and get the picture huh? I assume it requires that most of the dots in the media are at the right place or close enough.

If Terri was supposed to drive Kyron to Eugene I wonder what Kaine's plans were. What time were they planning to leave if they were going to get ice cream and play Wii before being on their way?

Did the presser schedule change already? I thought they said last weekend they were going to be on Mondays and Thursdays but this was Tuesday.

Very sad. I can feel Desiree's desperation. Did anyone watch the clip after Desiree's statement? The reporter mentioned that TH was supposed to be meeting Desiree that day (June 4) to turn Kyron over (they mentioned the highway), and he would be spending the weekend with Tony fishing. This was something I had never heard before. This raised eyebrows for me. For one, Kaine said in earlier interviews that they were going to take Kyron for a treat after school. It didn't seem like something they would do, if they were about to drive a couple of hours to meet Desiree? Does anyone think anything of this new information? Or at least its new information to me...

Not really no. They may not have been due to meet Terri til 8 or 9 pm even so why couldnt they go for a icecream at 4 and then go to meet Desiree? IIRC when Desiree found out about Kyron being missing so she wasnt planning on meeting Terri that early evidently.

During the question-and-answer period after Desiree read her statement, Tony told people they can “connect the dots” in this case.

“What’s been in the media up to this point, I think that can be checked (and) you can connect the dots yourself,” he said. “If you’re a reasoning person you can come to your own opinion about that.”

They said Terri is not cooperating with police since she hired high-profile defense attorney, Stephen Houze last week.

To me that kind of seems to be saying whats been in the media so far is pretty much correct.

Terri...Kaine.

I feel very very sorry for Kaine. His son who he loves is missing. Unlike with Terri..there is no indication from LE, the media, Desiree..anyone that Kaine is involved in whatever happened. According to the media at least Kaine passed the lie detector test also ( along with Desiree and Tony). I seriously dont understand why because Desiree said Kaine is talking to investigators it means hes involved in whatever happened to his son. It could simply be a case that they want to talk to him about whatever "decisions" Staton says he has to make this week.

I just dont understand why people are so fixed on accusing Kaine when there is nothing to indicate hes even slightly involved. Not only that he would have to be the dumbest guy out EVER..if he was involved to then go and get a restraining order against his co accused in the crime and take her child away from her..

I agree. I think the only thing Kaine may be guilty of is a bad judgement of the woman her brought into his life to take care of his child.

Lots of 'younger' people are very into those games. WOW is not exactly cutting edge any more, and I'm sure there are plenty of young teachers and administrators who play it. I'm kind of surprised it's lasted so long. My eldest son is pretty much on the cutting edge of those games, and he thinks it's a 'grandma' game now. He just finished Red Dead Redemption, and is moving on to another game. Playing WOW certainly would be nothing to be refused hiring about. It's the same kind of complaint people used to have about people into dungeons and dragons. Schools hired them up a plenty. No doubt they hire people who like WOW as well.

Not everyone's hobbies are gardening, ponding, vegetarian cooking, painting and writing articles for online websites like me. For example, my fiance is addicted to fantasy baseball, baseball games, (and is now doing Red Dead Redemption).... and he has a full time job.

If anything, being a WOW player and a teacher might get you laughed behind your back by students as being a 'noob'. It's not exactly now or cool. There are other things to not be hired for- like driving drink with your child in the car. Even that was so long ago, it probably legally can't be used.

I guess I don't get why it's surprising Th might have wanted to be an superintendant. It pays well, and you can't not get hired for it because you play WOW or any other game. Is she responsible for Kyron being missing? I don't know. But snarkiness aside, what does that have to do with her supposedly wanting to be an administrator?

I play Wow. Actually i am the leader of my guild. We have teachers in the guild..a Judge..accountants..Engineers, network annalysts, diving instructors and yes we have college kids also. Really wow is a game for all people and is no reason whatsoever to not hire someone.

What strikes me about this press conference (I watched the longer videoclip as well as the short edited pieces on the newscasts online) was this is what the parents should have been doing, IMO, from the start with Kyron first went missing. I still don't understand why it took more than a week before any of the parents/step parents went before the media cameras in the first place.

As to this press conference, Desiree and Tony did just fine. They didn't need to have Kaine there in order to get their own points across.

It was really hard to hear the reporters asking their questions in the long video -- even with the audio turned up all the way on my computer -- so maybe next time they should have a mike for the reporters too.

As much as Desiree is appealing to Terri on a mom to mom level, I don't think that's going to work. Terri lawyered herself up pretty good and she's not going to talk at all.

As to what DY means when she says "they're", I think it's either she's talking about Terri or Terri and her criminal defense attorney.

Her mom and dad are with her. Why can't they make her talk. Or is it another case like the Anthonys...screw everyone except for the murderous daughter. My god, they have to go back home in live in their community. Do they feel no shame, humiliation, guilt? I'm sorry but if they were my friends, I would wash my hands of them. Supporting a murderer of a child, who needs friends like that. Well parents of Teri step up and act like a parent.

1. How do you know Kyron is deceased?

2. Do you know for a fact that TMH murdered Kyron (or anyone)?

3. Why should TMH's parents feel "shame, humiliation or guilt?" What exactly did they do that they should feel this way?

4. You would wash your hands of friends who are parents of someone who has not been charged with any crime and you hold those parents somehow responsible for not being able to "make their child talk?" Because the parents remind you of the Casey Anthony case (how they are anything like the Anthony's I don't know). I would posit that these parents would be better off without such friends who would abandon them based on nothing but rumors.

I agree. I think the only thing Kaine may be guilty of is a bad judgement of the woman her brought into his life to take care of his child.

Hindsight is 20/20. I don't think a reasonable person could have predicted this.

Over decades, I have noticed there are quite a few perps who no one would have ever suspected of committing a heinous crime -- that includes relatives, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and acquaintances.

One is more likely to become a victim of a crime if one is a criminal, and/or one knowingly associates with criminals on a regular basis, and/or one lives in a high crime area. So if you are a gang member or your boyfriend is one, or you live in a high crime, gang-infested area, and you are a law-abiding person, you are much more likely to become a crime victim.

Kyron and his family are like most of us -- in the least likely to become a crime victim category. That also makes their story more interesting to most of us. It also aids the media in getting more viewers/readers and thus more advertising dollars, than the story of a gang member being killed by another gangster, or the story of a prostitute being killed.

We who are in the least likely victim category are more interested in this crime simply because the crime is serious and the victims are people like us. "We" means the general population in the U.S. -- not the subgroup of people who are interested in cases of missing children, for instance.

I stopped peripherally suspecting KH's involvement when the DA's office supported his application for a RO with their affidavit.

There are two things I don't think LE would do:

(1) Support a suspect in taking custody of his toddler daughter.

(2) Set TH up to be a scapegoat, with or without her knowledge and consent, in order to catch the real perp, no matter how much someone in LE thought it would help, assuming they had decided she was not involved.

IMO, the reason that TH sent her oldest child away from the home, is because she was diligently working on her plans to off Kaine.

I have 16 year old triplet boys, and it just breaks my heart to think of what TH's son is going through, has been going through, and will have to endure in the future.

TH is lucky that nobody in his or her right mind and heart will try to use her son to get her to break, assuming a plea from him would help.

  • #235
How old? Does he live with her and Tony?

I don't think we need to know about this boy, unless LE says he is a POI. He deserves, and rightfully so, to be protected from all this. TH's son should have been fully protected from this, too.

I agree. If TH is involved, she is not going to put herself in prison for life in order to help for any reason. She has too much too lose. Plus, anyone who would commit a crime like this cannot be someone who cares about anyone else or how they feel.

FWIW, I thought that Kyron's Step-Dad came over as one very solid citizen tonight in the Press Conference. Admittedly he had home court advantage playing in his own workplace but he seems to be doing a great job keeping the full court press on TH in place.

When they bring Kyron home, I think it will be in no small part due to having a man of Tony's background on the inside. JMoo

Yes very much. One thing I notice from the conference was that Tony was wearing his full detective uniform. His duty belt with all the gear including his service sidearm and badge. Not that that means anything at all, except it gives a clear message that he is not one to be fooled with.

I was very relieved at the start of this case finding out Tony was a detective.
Coming from a family of LE they very much take care of each other.I just want him to be found safe.I pray.

Not to speak for Mrs. Norris but I thought the blended family article was sticking it to Terri somehow as well. Not because there is anything wrong with playing WOW and everybody knows it doesn't make people unemployable but because all these tiny details got told about the stepmother and nobody else. It put the focus solely and firmly on her. The article was titled Kyron Horman's blended family but it was really all about Terri and any other members of Kyron's blended family got barely a mention, if even that. But that's OT for this thread, I posted in the blended family thread more about this.

I have never understood this either. I remember reading 'something' early on that said that TH had called earlier to tell DY to start driving. That makes no sense to me if they were planning to meet in the middle. Wouldn't that mean both of them would start driving at the same time?

A few days ago, when we returned from vacation, a friend of mine and I decided to meet at the halfway point between our houses so I could get our dog back from her.

We set a time to meet. Because things do come up, we agreed that she would call me right before she left, so we could leave at the same time.
