Over my long lifetime, I would have appreciated such a certain DX as Brain Death. Instead, we were left with iffy DXs, recognizing that our loved ones would never come back from the catastrophes or illnesses which determined their end of life. We may not have been the definitive decision-makers but we were clearly there to weigh-in, with love. I count many close friends as well as my beloved parents and brother in this category.
I am so fortunate to have spoken to some of them when they realized their end was near. These conversations were the most valuable to us, and I would wish that everyone had such a chance.
And so, I am puzzled why anyone would deny or question Jahi's status, apart from not comprehending it. Some on her mother's donation site are giving out of their faith. I have no problem with that, except to say that many of them seem totally uninformed about the facts.
May this sweet and lovely child rest in peace...that is my wish tonight, along with a hope that neither her family or lawyer drags-out this tragedy any longer.
