Father says DNA could solve one of country’s biggest murder mysteries: Who killed JonBenét Ramsey #2

I dunno about this,.. CNN is having ratings problems, some people say there are major network issues. Cooper is under contract - but if his network tanks…(although there might be a nice bidding war for Cooper if that happens). So… wonder if Cooper is gonna softball it with Ramsey, as virtually every where else has done. OR give his network a boost by questions that Ramsey is not prepared to answer…,
Just hope this interview is not just filler.

It’s definitely going to be easy street for JR. IMO, Anderson Cooper lost his drive for the truth long ago. In fact, it’s really hard to find any good, objective journalism anymore.

I'm a grandma to and hopefully they find one of the killers that killed JonBenét in the wine cellar?
The two gentlemen watching over your daughter ?
Two footprints were found in the wine cellar of the Ramsey home where JonBenét Ramsey was murdered

It's pretty much a guarantee......if JR has agreed to do an interview, it comes with strings attached. Of course he denies that is true as they made a big point of for the Ashley Flowers interview, "I prefer it to be spontaneous......" which we all know is a load of you know what.

There might be a question or two thrown in to make it look like it's not a softball interview, but that will be negotiated ahead of time. I respect Cooper as a reporter, but he won't have free rein on this.
Flowers interview was so well produced, yet it was clear who had the upper hand… Flowers is savy though…she definitely is sophisticated about this case. But wonder if she felt she was maneuvering in a field of land mines. I felt like she was trying to interview him, to move to a more serious, direct line of questioning…but then would have to rodeo backpedaling to placate JR. And he knew it. Once those arms of JR folded across his chest, she knew the line was crossed…
She made the best of the situation under the circumstances IMO, but yep-a load alright…

JR probably going to stress the importance of BPD and his “introduction” to his “independent” DNA lab…And how these are his last years and blah blah blah….
Whatever happened about that highly publicized January meeting with BPD and JR anyway…

Yes, it was well produced. And overall I think she did a pretty good job under the circumstances.

What we need to remember is that his claims of a preference for interviews to be "spontaneous" is absolute BS. You don't get an interview with JR unless you agree to conditions. That has been the case since day one. People criticized Barbara Walters for her interview, but a Ramsey interview at the time was coveted by all media as they knew it would be a ratings bonanza for them. But they had to agree to the Ramsey's terms.

Just like one of the press conferences they gave early on during the investigation. It was all staged, carefully controlled. They only invited specific members of the press whom they deemed would be sympathetic and who would agree to their terms, it was not an open press conference. They had to agree to only asking certain questions. There was a list of questions that were off limits. It was completely controlled by team Ramsey.

I think the meeting with BPD has occurred from what I can gather. I kind of assumed that this is why he's doing the CNN interview. Fox News reported in an article dated today that the meeting happened on "Monday". So either yesterday or last week.

NEW JonBenet Ramsey's family met face-to-face w/ Boulder police Monday. New information came out of the meeting, specifically PD told the Ramseys that mystery DNA found in the child's underwear has NOT been tested for genealogical DNA because the science isn't sensitive enough.

But the John and John Andrew Ramsey, JonBenet's father and brother, sound more encouraged that police are moving forward than they ever have. "It's not if but when" ~ John Andrew.

I just expected more from Ashley Flowers, even go so far as to not air the episode if she wasn’t able to freely question JR. Or at least discuss all sides of the case in a way that showed she actually knows the facts of the case. I came away thinking I know a lot more than she does.
She’s pretty well respected in the true crime podcast world, this just made me see her as a pushover.

So the timing is right on. JR had his meeting and now a MSM interview. Business as usual.

i share your disappointment.
Because she is not MSM. Ramsey wants traction IMO to turn into pressure on BPD to hand over DNA samples from the crime scene to his “independent” DNA lab. But it would be frickin amazing to see him interview live with someone like Mehdi Hasan, Christian Amanpour, 60 minutes guys. Ok new thread!!!

Maybe Web Sleuths should host Flowers on YouTube to find out her thoughts on that episode. That would make a terrific evening.

…And then Reddit could host John Ramsey on a live AMA stream. Ha!
Right…

I wish the tape and the rope was tested better. And identify where the robe came from. Were they from one of the christmas gifts?

I watched the clip of JR interviewed by CNN. Some notable comments he made, and a couple things he mentioned I’d like clarified.
He said there is an unidentified palm print on the door of the wine room where JBR was found. I was under the impression that it had been identified as belonging to PR and/or JAR.

He also mentioned a pubic hair on JBR’s blanket she was found in, and again, I was under the impression it was subsequently identified but was not a pubic hair, and iirc, belonged to PR or someone in PR’s maternal family.

Interesting to note - He also said he had lost his job and his life savings and that they had to live in a trailer for 3 years. I’d never heard that before.

Caucasian Hair on Blanket

"Likewise, an unidentified Caucasian "pubic or auxiliary" hair, not matching any Ramsey, was found on the blanket covering JonBenet' body. (

Palmprint on Wine-Cellar Door

"In addition, on the wine-cellar door, there is a 20 palmprint that does not match either of defendants' palmprints

Yeah. These two questions were answered long ago.

IIRC, the palm print on the WC door was identified as belonging to Melinda Ramsey. It was definitely a family member. Nothing suspicious.

The hair was tested and identified. It was not a pubic hair, it was a terminal hair. It was determined to be from Patsy Ramsey’s maternal familial line. Could’ve been Patsy’s or her sisters’ or mother’s. Nothing suspicious.

John is flat out lying.

A trailer?? Never heard that either. They bought a big, expensive house in Atlanta. At some point they did downsize to a less expensive home. Then they moved to their place in Charlevoix. PR moved in with her parents after the cancer recurred.

I did read about the hair in Kolar’s book, which states that mitochondrial DNA confirmed the hair was from someone in PR’s maternal line.

So frickin frustrating….
John Ramsey must have the most powerful PR firm… nobody fact checks.. just amazing…

Yes, I saw this the first time you posted it earlier today.
Is this an up to date source? Honest question. I’m not familiar with who compiled it, or when.
According to James Kolar’s book:

“Over the coming weeks, I would learn that some of the evidence that Smit had pointed to as belonging to an intruder had been explained. For example, the latent fingerprint found on the outside of the Wine Cellar door, still unidentified when Smit first joined the case, had subsequently been identified by CBI technicians as a palm print belonging to Patsy Ramsey.”

I’m glad so many still think the family did it - that provides a clear incentive to solve the case.

Because a family of the victim under scrutiny suffers much more than other suspects IMO

It is frustrating that he is just allowed to propagate the lies unquestioned / unchallenged by the media when being interviewed. But I guess they're still too afraid of getting sued. Those of us who know the case know he's lying. All the newbies drawn to this case by the Netflix show do not.

John did say the footprint on the Suitcase

Suitcase Under Window

No one disputes the suitcase evidence,
