Please forgive if this has been discussed already. Just watching JVM tonight and she was discussing Cindy and George on GMA this morn. One of her panel of guests was a homicide prosecutor (don't recall his name.) He made reference to the abundance of evidence, not only circumstantial, and in particular the fibers from a rug that had been in George's car/trunk with fibers that were linked to the crime scene. First time I'd heard that. Did anyone catch that?!

I just heard that too! It's the first I have heard of this too.

I heard him say it as well, and this is the first time I've heard of this direct evidence.

This may be where the black and red wool fibers originated from (that many were speculating about upthread.)

Seriously, I don't remember even a ting of GA's vehicle being sent to the FBI for analysis. Would be nice if BOTH CA and GA's were.

Bringing this over, here is what I typed up after listening to him three times!
Rod Wheeler says they have direct evidence. He points out "the rug that the baby was wrapped in when she was found in the park they actually have fibers from that same rug that was found in the trunk of the vehicle that belonged to george" and he doesn't know how they found that but that is direct evidence.
(If not quoted, it is paraphrased by me!)
IE - on the car, I took he meant KC didn't own it the parents did. Wasn't it in Cindy's name?
Edit to add -- he calls the woods off Suburban a park too - just sayin!

Pontiac was in CA and GA's names which is why CA had to boot scoot down to the tow yard to also sign the release forms. Oh and to pizz, moan and groan about the costs incurred.

He was very hard to follow - that is why I backed it up three times to quote him. I wondered if he meant the rug found in the woods matches fibers from the car, but given how disjointed he came across - I will wait to think anything of him or what he said!

When you look at the affidavit in support of the arrest warrant which I have a copy of and you look at all the facts the cops have laid out -- and I`m talking direct evidence, not circumstantial. There is some circumstances as well. FWIW, i spent the day rereading CA's state deposition transcripts and she states that the Winnie the Pooh blanket that was found with the remains was stored in the guest bedroom, in one of 3 dresser drawers that were designated for Caylee's things. She goes on to state that the other 3 drawers of that same dresser held CA's, in her words, "winter sweaters". Given the fact that we have all been scratching our heads looking for where in the heck the black wool fibers came from, i thought this little tid bit might interest some. IMHO, it is reasonable to think that any woman originating from Ohio might own a black wool sweater. The fact that she herself refers to it as a winter sweater indicates to me that it would be wool or a wool blend, which supports the notion that the A's do indeed still have wool a/k/a winter items saved from their days in Ohio. Thoughts anyone?

Cindy Anthony's testimony I was referring to, again her State deposition last year, questions are being asked by SA George as follow up to LDB's questioning, transcribed by yours truly,


Mr. George: Okay. Let’s see. The blanket we’ve been talking about, the Winnie-the -Pooh blanket, where was that kept?

Cindy Anthony: All of Caylee’s blankets, after Lee moved out, I moved them from her armoire to the spare bedroom. I had a dresser drawer in there, and three of the dresser drawers were for Caylee and the other three were for, like, my winter sweaters.

Mr. George: so that’s where that blanket would have been kept?

Cindy Anthony: Yes. All of her blankets.

Mr. George: So the other---not in her room---?

Cindy Anthony: Correct.

Mr. George: Not in Casey’s room but in the spare room?

Cindy Anthony: Right. Until we used it.

Do we have any idea if LE took any of these sweaters (or anything else that might have been stored nearby) in for testing? I know they took A LOT of Casey's clothing, shoes, etc...

When I first read mom2chloe's post, my first thought was black wool fibers may have been transferred somehow in storage. However, from what I can tell from the snipped portion, that means Casey had to go to that spare room, open the drawer and remove the blanket that was found with Caylee's remains. So, it is reasonable to believe she very well could have removed one of CA's sweaters, too.

hmmm....well, we KNOW CA isn't going to volunteer any info about any missing sweater, in fact she probably would lie even if she knew one was missing.

You are very welcome! It was too hot yesterday to do anything but reading! Beach, the funny thing is that CA actually did offer up that information most likely without realizing it. She just freely volunteered that. :woohoo:

IIRC, in one of Tony's follow up interviews he mentions being familiar with a black dress he saw on the news which was found by searchers but not at the Suburban sight. I am paraphrasing here, but he insists that he knows the black dress he saw with the sparkly things. I am wondering if this black dress he refers to could have been wool, maybe a short sleeve sweater type dress with sequins or some other type of embellishment. although we have no way of knowing whether this black dress is related, it is certainly interesting that he recognizes this as something KC wore at some point. Sure wouldn't be hard to convince me that KC may have borrowed something of CA's from one of her "winter sweater" drawers, especially now that we know these things were kept in the same dresser where the WTP blanket was stored. I will find the interview I am referring to and post that info sometime today. That's the only other little black wool fiber info that comes to mind right now.
