Here's a source (apart from her own SM) stating that Cassie Stratton, who was identified yesterday, lived in apt #410. In your spreasheet she's currently listed with another missing family in #412.

Around the same time, Cassie Stratton, who lived in Unit 410, awoke to the sound of cracking, according to her sister, Ashley Dean.

I gathered from her SM that she used to live in #412. In #410 she had a good view of the deck that she reported collapsing.

Thanks. I know that since there was a large Chabad population many were gathering for Shabbat that was upcoming. That and neighbors hanging out with neighbors for nightcap and such. I think I had a note about it being listed as 412, but other information pointed to her not being in that room or visiting a friend. Either way thank you.

The other challenge is lining up Hebrew names with the English names.

I'm not sure if any more missing will emerge from those names. According to the authorities, there are currently 14 names on the missing list and 10 that were found but haven't been identified yet. They may be the same people. On your list there are 18 names of people unaccounted for, not counting the list of Hebrew names.

It appears that about 40% of the condos (in the part that fell) were unoccupied at the time of the collapse. Status of many units is still unknown, but there are very few people (publicly) known to be missing that haven't been linked to a particular apt.

They just updated the list to not include a chunk of Hebrew names (I am guessing they were repeats of missing). I am still working on find those and connecting them, but that is not here or there really just something I feel like doing.

MIAMI — The death toll from a catastrophic condominium collapse in Florida last month, once feared to be well more than 100 people, is expected to land between 95 and 99 people, with the search-and-recovery operation at the disaster site nearing its end.

Eighty-five of them have been identified. The other 10 victims will be considered unaccounted for until the medical examiner’s office in Miami-Dade County can identify them through various forensic techniques, including comparing DNA samples of family members.

The identification process has grown increasingly challenging, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava of Miami-Dade County said on Tuesday, because of the deteriorated condition of the human remains that have been found...

In addition to the 10 unidentified people who are known to have been in the building, the list of those potentially still missing includes four more names, for a total of 14, said Alfredo Ramirez III, the director of the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Those four were identified by friends or family members as possibly in the building when it collapsed, and they have not been found alive elsewhere.

The number of people unaccounted for in the Surfside ruins has varied widely because so many people reported missing loved ones after the collapse. (The building did not keep a record of who was in it at any given time.)

A team of detectives has had to follow up on each tip, calling relatives and scouring databases for information. Some people left incomplete tips and did not provide contact information, leaving detectives with no easy way to confirm if the tip was real.

Ms. Levine Cava said formal missing persons reports have been filed for 12 of the 14 people who remain unaccounted for. Detectives continue to try to verify the other two names on the list.
It is also possible that the list is incomplete, if someone who was in the building has not been reported missing over the past 20 days.

The differences between your 18 and the Miami Herald 15 are another member of the Pazos family (Elena) and Jose & Maria Gonzalez. Not sure where the last two came from.

You are correct the Gonzalez family was listed for a while and Elena. Those have been removed on the second sheet. I can only imagine how hard it is to keep track and follow up. When those units could be rented out, people on vacation elsewhere, friends visiting, it being a second home. While it was big news in the US if they are from out of the country it's a massive task for sure. Thanks a thousand to all those working this disaster.

The pool deck at Champlain Towers South Condo, now at the center of a forensic investigation into the building’s deadly collapse, had been a problem for decades, a newly released 1996 construction permit for “concrete structural repair” shows.

Documents submitted to the town as part of permitting and construction show the deck slab, which makes up the ceiling of the underground garage, needed 500 feet of cracks sealed and a 20-square-foot slab replaced entirely just 15 years after the original construction of the building.

“The scope of work will be concrete structural repair in the parking garage,” wrote Rob Sommer, sales manager for Western Waterproofing Company of America to the Surfside Building Department in March 1996. “This type of repair entails removing loose concrete overhead, treating steel rebar with rust inhibitive coating and patching back with repair mortar. Also included in the garage will be urethane foam injection in ceiling cracks.”
Tong Le, the consulting engineer on the project, certified the $156,602 of structural concrete construction work and waterproofing in a Nov. 20, 1997, letter to the town…

“[The 1996 repairs] indicate that they were having problems with water infiltration, which is saltwater infiltration, all these years,” said Abieyuwa Aghayere, concrete expert and professor of structural engineering at Drexel University. Aghayere said the need for these kinds of repairs after only 15 years was “atypical.”

Lehman pointed out other discrepancies between the original scope of work and the certification, including that the consulting engineer’s did not mention the rust-inhibitive coating for the rebar in his certification of the construction. Still, Lehman said the 1996 permit adds to the growing concern that the slab was a significant weak point in the building due to a long history of water intrusion and damage.
“This is a systematic issue for this building, which you can see they have been dealing with since the late ‘90s,” she said.

Technically it's possible that the remains of only four people are yet to be found and that the final death toll won't exceed 100. Identifications take longer at this point though, so the authorities won't know for sure if someone else who wasn't reported missing was present.

IIRC one of the questions at the press conference was about possible signs of the victims initially surviving the collapse. The answer was negative. I wonder if there were any people that weren't found on their floor or in their apartment.

The tonnage refers to BTU, not to equipment weight. One ton equals 12,000 BTU.

Yep, big saw in there right now cutting around main pillar it for it to come out. (screenshot from live feed of Because surfside YT - date says yesterday as this feed started prior to midnight and has kept going since then)

So only one victim was found overnight. They are down into the garage area. On the you tube channel Because Surfside, I watched them pull out several vehicles last night.

I'm hoping there will be more video/electronic evidence found within the vehicles. Maybe some cars have dashcams, or their "black boxes" record when the car alarm goes off. Those pieces of the puzzle might provide more info: the dashcams may have caught something happening in the area of the roof/columns when a car entered the garage that evening. Maybe there are some car alarms that alert the owner when it triggers. . . via a text, etc. Or maybe the car's electronics stores info about "events" while the car is parked.

The tourist video from across the street showed flowing water and rubble in the area of the entrance ramp to the garage about 7 minutes prior to the collapse.

Seems to me that they are getting closer and closer to finding the point of collapse.
With the deck being seen caving in by a victim who relayed that to her husband on the phone.
With the deck having chronic water-related and structural problems.
With the building collapsing in the direction of the deck.

It seems, to me, like cutting one leg off a chair and the chair toppling toward the missing chair leg. Only due to being a heavy building, the building also pancaked as it toppled.

They are determined to get the support pylon (or whatever it is called) for parking space number 41. It is at the center of the screen and they are cutting all around it. Below is live feed right now. (They may be wanting more, not sure until it's pulled out) #39 parking space pylon is to the left
