Misty just turned 17. She doesn't appear to be a mature 17 year old, imo. Her birthday was in December. She has been with this guy for 5 months. He is 25 years old.
His birthday is in Oct.
So, a 25 year old guy, with a 16 year old girl. He was breaking the law when he laid down with her the first time, and he is breaking the law now!!!
The mother of his children was 14 when she gave birth to Haleigh. He was 2 months short of being 20. He was breaking the law then also.
I'm surprised he isn't a RSO.

When my husband was born his Mother was 14 and his Father was 20, yes they were married. They went on to have five more children. My FIL smoked most of his life( around his children) and passed away at 83 and had been married to the same person over 60 years. All six of their children are healthy and are all now grandparents themselves. i think this line of sleuthing is being over rated. JMHO[/QUOTE]

Not disagreeing with what you said but I think it should be pointed out that there is another mistake on the police report. Haleigh's mother is 23. She was not 14 when Haleigh was born. Her my space shows pics from her 23rd birthday and her mother in NG interview also stated that Crystal was 18 or 19 when Haleigh was born

Beautiful words, LeLe! I don't care where you live, if you are a kind and loving soul, that's good enough for me.

I spoke to a poster by e-mail who was part of the search yesterday. They had stopped at a store to get directions to the command site to search, the clerk at the store told them, "her time would be better spent picking up TRASH ON THE HIGHWAY.... " how do you like that!

Every child is worth saving!

OH OH
The locals know something....

Of course you couldn't know what would cause the clerk to say something like that but what the hell would motivate such a comment? OMG, this is a child's life at stake and someone could say something like that? Maybe ignorance has just hit a whole new level...:furious:

Please tell your email friend THANKS for participating in the search. :blowkiss:

Well that was ugly and I would have told that clerk in no uncertain terms so that she/he clearly understood my position on any missing child and how valuable any and all children are and I assure you this clerk would have left his work that evening knowing full well he had been reamed that afternoon by a woman who thought the life of a child was a lot more valuable than his/hers.

Spot on, SS! If she's still alive this late in the game, someone is tending to her, in some way.

i realize that the longer that Haleigh is missing, the grimmer(?) the situation. I will keep praying that this is the case.

In an attempt to bring the uttterly useless debate under control:

What theories do we have so far?
1. Father took her somewhere alive to keep her away from mother and family.
2. Father snapped and killed her for what ever reason before he left and had gf clean up the mess.
3. Father snapped and killed her for what ever reason and gf knows nothing about it.
4. One of the 44 registered sex offenders in the 2 surrounding counties took her for their own purposes.
5. Mother took her either out of a twisted sense of love or to get out of her child support obligation...or even for spite.
6. Complete stragner abduction...albeit an inept, very lucky stranger.
7. Haleigh wandered off on her own sometime during the night and is either deceased in the water or woods or is alie somewhere wandering lost.
8. Stranger abduction due to drug debts or gambling debts from the side of the grandparents or parents.
9. Abduction by member's of gf's family for unknown reasons.
10. Abduction by mother's family either with or without mother's knowledge.

Are there any I missed, barring alien abduction and black holes?

G/F snapped or whatever, killed the child, and disposed of the body either alone or with help.
Accident happened and G/F is afraid to tell anyone about it.

I really don't know about his past using of drugs, but if he works on a Bridge, these big companies give drug tests all the time..big liabilty..

have a friend here in CA and he works at a refinery building those big stacks..he has to go thru homeland security and tests all the time..So I don't know if Florida is that lenient if he works for a Big Company..

The mother is 23 thus making her 18 when she had Haleigh. I believe the police report has her age wrong. All of her myspace info says she's 23 and her 23rd birthday party is on her myspace page. I don't believe she "made up that age" and alot of things on that police report were not accurate so this could have been another one of their mistakes.
As far as the father...I do believe the age of consent in FL is 16. And I don't think this really has a bearing to this case. Lots of 17 year olds are with older men and lots of 17 year olds babysit.

I'm not going to condemn him to hell because he's with a 17 year old.

How about the arrest records? I thought I saw where this guy has been in quite a bit of trouble..but, maybe I read it too quick..it's flyin! Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Unfortunately you're right. It seems MOST of the players here all have rap sheets from possesion of cocaine, drug paraphenalia, assault, battery, domestic violence, hit and run and the list goes on. This includes the elder folks too.

gf accidentally hurt her
gf killed her intentionally
gf had yet to be identified person to home and isn't divulging info

not that i believe that, but she is really the last one with her for a time period covering several hours

I want to think this is an abduction but there is this voice in the back of my head that says the police are not responding and searching in a way that indicates they believe she has been taken by a stranger.

I have had a thought or two about Bio Mom's boyfriend.

In one of his first interviews, I quoted and linked a statement he made.
I have no friends, and do not make enemies.

Shadow, I have read previous posts by you in the CA forums, about your childhood. I am one of those too.
IMO

Yeah, One of my favorite sayings is “Know where you’re going and remember where you have been”. Keeps it on in perspective.

Wonder if he really thinks he has no enemies if... if he did some informant work for LE. Some how I don't think he is that stupid. Book learning he may not be good at but street smarts he's got as long as he can keep his temper from clouding his intincts.

This is not something that we will hear about from LE either. According to what went down at the time there could be alot of people that took a fall.

Ronald's record suggests that it's likely he served as an informant for LE--
His biggest drug charge in 2002 was ordered Nolle Prosequi -- "do not prosecute or pursue" and then he seems to reoffend and violate probation several times, only to experience very light sanctions and "deferred prosecution" dispositions. IMO his case outcomes and repeated reoffenses during probation periods would normally have resulted in incarceration or a more substantial penalty.

Initially, the media links area only showed his record through 2002-- but it's more extensive.
You can see it here: http://www.putnam-fl.com/clk_apps/crim_dkts/frame.php
Search under "Name" with the term cummings%

There's also a dropped restraining order or domestic violence related item in the civil docket. (dropped because the alleged victim (Haleigh's mother) chose not to pursue the matter.

I think the possible informant angle could be important because he likely has a lot of enemies.

I think the custody situation could also provide motive-- it seems like Haleigh's mother lost custody because she didn't appear for a hearing or challenge Ronald, IMO not necessarily because he was the most fit parent for the best interests of the child.

RC certainly has eliminated everything else except an abduction, and from the get go.
I have never seen anyone get away with as much as he has, that's for sure. He doesn't appear to fear LE either. I mean saying he is going to shoot the perp through the patrol car window is pretty bold, and saying it to LE!
You may well be onto something here, though I don't understand much of what is written, it would explain some of the comments made by LE such as, "Whoever has her, she isn't where she is suppose to be. " I found that statement a bit odd, personally. jmo

Okay I'm back from Walmart :seeya:

OT but I didn't wear my slippers  I had on sneakers :D

Anyway, I was picking up items that I need to spring clean next week and here is what occurred to me.

I don't think Daddy did anything to her or had a hand in her disappearance.

I don't think Misty did anything to her or had a direct hand in her disappearance.

I think that there is a chance that the man (yes I think it was one perp and male) that took her is a sex offender but I'm not so sure he is registered.

I think the LE has probably been grilling all of the RSO's and has been in their homes, and will continue to do so (the usual suspects treatment)

I am wondering this.

Who has had access to the child within the last month or so? Who knows the layout of the home? Who might have a key to enter and move quietly and quickly, in and out, and abduct the child?

I don't think she is in the homes immediately neighboring her Daddy's house.

Who is the landlord? Who is in charge of running that rental property if it is not managed by the landlord? Who else has a key?

If someone else had a key, then they could come in any door they wish and leave however they wanted.

Just a thought.

Question...

AC guy was there...working on the ac.. usually that unit is on the back side of the house. The controls are often by the back door or laundry room in these modular/doublewides. I wonder if she unlocked the back door so he could turn on and off the controls and test to see if he got the unit to work. Maybe she forgot to lock it and is scared to tell Ron because she knows she would be "to blame"

The AC guy if asked would say if questioned by the police that he would not know if she locked it or unlocked it...

She could have already told the police that she "may have left it unlocked" The police are not going to tell us everything. She may not want to admit to anyone but the police in order not to look bad on TV and have Ron get mad at her.

I'm pretty sure he has shown his disregard for the laws plenty...
just sayin....

Does that mean he would kill his own child?

I think the circumstances under which Haleigh went missing and the "stories" are suspicious.

But, being a lawbreaker doesn't mean you would kill. There is no motive. Haleigh was a financial asset.

I can see either the father OR the girlfriend losing their temper. IF the backdoor was usually deadbolted, people from the outside couldn't plan-in-advance to break in.

I also feel his grief is very real. No way will I believe he was involved unless there were some real damning evidence.
Oh I don't think he was involved at all either.
