I spoke to a poster by e-mail who was part of the search yesterday. They had stopped at a store to get directions to the command site to search, the clerk at the store told them, "her time would be better spent picking up TRASH ON THE HIGHWAY.... " how do you like that!

Ok - FIRST - DH and I were just discussing this yet again - lol. I was explaining about the back door and such - we were looking at the layout below and just as I said "guy comes in back door, goes right around corner," and DH looks at me and says

WOW! Just think if they would have had a dog!!!!!!! And funny gpa has a record for (we think) dog fighting. Even if it would have just been a little yapping dog - a DOG!!! Would have made noise. Wow - just wow.


Ok - on to the pix. These are posted in the media thread. The first is obviously the house. The back door is somewhat obscured by trees but you can see it. You can't see the handicap ramp - but its there.

The second one is the one I believe to be the layout of this trailer. Look at the roof of the real one - there is only ONE bathroom in that trailer. AND, you can also see the dryer exhaust near the back door. By looking at this layout you can kinda figure out where the two matresses were in the master. And it explains why when Misty got up to go to the bathroom - she never got there because she saw the kitchen light on and then saw the back door open. I betcha the little matress that Haleigh was on was right there on that front wall of the master. So "perp" comes through door - around corner - reaches right inside and scoops her up and back out around the corner - GONE.

I am not a smoking advocate, but if that is the case the car emissions and all other toxins have to be abandoned as well. We know they are harmful....
just my opinion.

I agree with you and what we don't need are more laws telling us what not to do in our own homes. The people I know who smoke also go out on the patio instead of smoking inside the house.

I'm following that along in my mind too Short_stuff. Over the day or so, I've started to refine where my mind is taking me. First, as I said before in a post above I want to know if someone had a key. Shadow of my mind directed me to a post in a previous thread that will help me figure out about the landlord situation.

Then, even though I said I don't think that Misty did anything to Haleigh. I don't think she directly hurt her.

Misty just may be the key, I have felt that all along.

She may have unknowingly facilitated the access this man had to Haleigh. She may not even be aware that is what happened. Just a thought.

Misty just turned 17. She doesn't appear to be a mature 17 year old, imo. Her birthday was in December. She has been with this guy for 5 months. He is 25 years old.
His birthday is in Oct.
So, a 25 year old guy, with a 16 year old girl. He was breaking the law when he laid down with her the first time, and he is breaking the law now!!!
The mother of his children was 14 when she gave birth to Haleigh. He was 2 months short of being 20. He was breaking the law then also.

I somewhat have to support what you said.....there are obvious reasons for this to consider: from my own experiences with women I go to group with in a Domestic Violence Support Group....it is more likely his attraction is because its a domination & control thing. Most women in his age group, would not only be above him emotionally & mentally, .... they wouldnt put up with his lifestyle or how he treats them. Remember what he said when LE got there.....thats a very telling sign that their relationship is NOT equal by any means. Thats untilmately verbal abuse and the GF is too young yet to know that that isnt acceptable. Women at his age or older, more than likely would not appreciate that.

He knew this man knew exactly where to go and get in and out quick.

How did he know the layout of the house as it pertained to bedding? Because he's been in the house before.

How did he enter a door, any door, without causing any damage to the said door? Either he has a key, or he can pick a deadbolt with such skill that an unskilled eye cannot see damage.

Even if it's a 2 bdrm. house, I'd think the kids would be in their own room. But what seems even stranger is the kids are supposed to be in the same room with her and the perp is still able to sneak in and take Haleigh? :waitasec:

i'm thinking the kids slept in the master bedroom to feel safer since their dad wasn't home at night (working)..maybe they put an extra mattress in the room because it was a nightly occurrence? when dad gets home from work the kids get moved to the other mattress and dad sleeps with g/f.

If this was already discussed please forgive me...something that really bugs me about the house...since the GF changed the story so much, it still seems as though the kids slept in the same room or near Misty. This is a double wide mobile home, right? I've been in several mobil homes before and most of them have 3 to 4 bedrooms...they also have 2bathrooms and are relatively average around 900-1200 sq. feet over all.... it bothers me a little as to why the children didnt have their own rooms? Was there any mention of the children having their own rooms? or at least Haleigh?

I had wondered that, too, but never verbalized it. Were they under some kind of threat? Was Missy afraid to be by herself at night (some women are). Was this the normal sleeping arrangement, if so, there's a problem there that I don't need to go into.

I would like to know the answer to that. Thanks for asking.
