Me too Jewel and hated math... prosecutor does not even understand but it is his job to get the expert to word it so we can. I like it when they use analogies.

It was reported in the media way back when but I never took the time to find anything confirming it. It would be nice to see the complete transcript (it just suddenly stops). Mr. Hobbs said he was going to question Santos about this.. but no more pages. Regardless it would be just Santos lying as usual. Interesting though it is Segura's own defense bringing this to light so many years ago.

Santos was in the picture early as they found the jail house letters in Brandi's house. He was questioned.

He was also housed in the same jail as Segura.....so the timing of all this is extremely shady and very hard to figure out. It seems no matter the question asked the answer is shifted to suit the defense. I have never ever (not even Casey well maybe Casey but she did not have the gall to take the stand) seen such prolific liars.

It sounds like Santos and Segura were housed in the same pod when Santos was being brought over to Leon County Jail to testify at a hearing on this case. So he had already made up his story and been talking to investigators BEFORE he met Segura in jail. But Segura's defense lawyer says they had a conversation. I really don't think Santos is doing this to help out Segura. He's doing it for his own sick and twisted narcissistic need.

It took me awhile but I read all of this transcript. It doesn't match what Santos said today. So his story has changed and so have the lies. This makes me not believe him more.

You are most welcome. If anyone wants anything pulled from last trial. I can do it no problem. It is a mind boggling mess in the court records though. 8 years!

ETA: and THANK YOU for always loading the trial videos. Funny I finally created a YouTube account thinking it would make it easier to find stuff. Sadly it is not, it is worse for some reason!

Is anyone as surprised as me that not one neighbor heard gunshots (wasn't it like 12?) nor screams from the house? Especially with the close proximity and the alleged time of death of 7pm-ish? How is that even possible? Even with a low caliber gun...thoughts?

I am not that surprised. I hear nothing at my house with my neighbors not being far but not as close as Brandi's.

I have had a .38 caliber gun go off inside my house (during day time hours) and not one neighbor heard....and let me tell you it is loud and disorienting.

Depending on the background noise in everyone else's house maybe it could be muffled? Depending on what noise was inside Brandi's house....tv loud, music...maybe muffled?

Lots of cases bring this issue up....most cases with gunshots being heard involve high caliber weapons or involve a shot gun. Even some cases with gun shots being outside are not heard.

ETA: I do think 12 shots not being heard is surprising. Maybe he rigged some kind of silencer?
