I haven't used a Walmart dressing room in years - are they not staffed anymore? Because allowing a male to take a female child into the dressing room is a no-go for me. If I was shopping there it would certainly get MY attention and I'd have to see what was going on in there.
Well, we don't know if he actually took her to the dressing rooms. Mom said he did to police, very early on. (which is weird. why did it suddenly stand out to her as important when she was talking to police, but not important while it was happening?)
We don't know if he went IN with her, if that is where they went twice. He my not have gone in, but was trying to establish trust with Cherish and mom. "See, I take her, but I bring her back, and she's just fine!"
I'm not sure how late this was/if the staff was still manning the dressing rooms, or closing up their section, putting away discards, etc.
There must be camaras that, at the very least, show the desk where the person manning them stands (which is in front of and sort of in the center of the fitting rooms where I shop.) It would be a back-up to see how many clothes went in and how many come out.
