Well, we can kiss the rest of the day goodbye. There won't be time for anything else today.

He did meet with DS. DS claimed "crack-cocaine turned me into a monster"

  • #1,143
History around the event: Crack cocaine smoking every 5 minutes, unable to sleep. Also drinking, doing xanax, valium, lortab; experienced hallucinations.

Nothing to do with the reliability of this witness...but I can't stand the way he talks. I want to listen, but ugh! Spit it out, buddy. Long, stream of consciousness answers.

And he is not "criminally responsible" because he was too mentally disordered to understand the gravity of his actions.

But not considered insane by medical standards. Hmmmm.

"Reached out for help." Yeah, somehow that crack cocaine jumped off the table and into his brain. Couldn't sleep. And Xanax, Valium, alcohol just jumped out of the cabinets and invaded his system. (WTF)
<gag>

I don't think he "fell through the cracks" so much as he found a crack and squeezed his way through it. Sort of like a rodent.

Or a cockroach.

He's had two heart attacks. Suffered endocarditis. Continued to use the crack nonetheless. He's had every opportunity to "kick it" through natural causes. No. We need the DP. He's got longevity in his genes apparently.

And he suffered from insomnia and couldn't sleep after smoking crack every 5 minutes. Gosh. That's the worst case of insomnia I've ever heard of.

More self reporting...

But not too mentally disordered to understand what general population means for him.
Thank you, though, for the Mystery Science Theater running commentary. I couldn’t bring myself to watch the defense.

There you go. We're getting an MRI and PET.

I'm not going with this crack excuse. He had been out of prison for 3 weeks. While we all know there are drugs in prison, he would have limited access to any in there. There isn't enough crack in prisons for him to binge on while he's inside. This is nothing but a bs excuse for his horrific actions.

He's chewing his finger again

He did it once to disguise a smile -- I definitely saw him smile & cover it up. Grrrrr.

Testimony - The poor guy is having tremors and falls. MRI and yes a PET. <choke>

Lortab -- is that morphine? Some kind of opioid, I think.

Discussed DS scoring 0/3 on sensory tests a few minutes ago but I could not really follow what the test was or what they were getting at.
Going through MRI results now.

It's an opiate, hydrocodone (same thing as Vicodin)

Lortab specifically is hydrocodone and acetaminophen in a pill, I believe.
