SARASOTA - A Sarasota judge refused to budge on Dale Fullwood's bail of $50,000 at his first appearance in court Thursday.

Dale Fullwood, 46, was arrested Wednesday on two charges of possession of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 after an investigation by the North Port Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Fullwood is the father of 6-year-old Coralrose, who was found dead two blocks away from her home on Calabash Lane in North Port on Sept. 17.

Fullwood told detectives he last saw Coralrose when he got home from work at 2 that morning. When Coralrose did not come out of her room that morning, the family could not find her or her comforter and called 9-1-1.

Assistant Public Defender Richard Eisenberg, arguing for Fullwood, told the judge Fullwood has family ties, a job and is not a flight risk. Eisenberg also argued the bond was "too high" for the crime Fullwood is being charged with. He said the charges are third-degree felonies, and Fullwood's charges are considered the "least serious" of those types of sex crimes.

Fullwood also spoke to the judge, saying he had less than $200 to his name.

According to the Sarasota County Jail, Fullwood has to either come up with $50,000 or get a bond for that amount.

John Coleman, the Fort Myers attorney who represented the Fullwoods after their three children were removed from the home from the Department of Children and Families last month, said he has not decided whether he will represent Fullwood on his criminal charges.

Coleman said he would have to meet first with Fullwood's family, either today or early next week, and will decide then whether to represent Fullwood.

The Fullwoods also have a custody hearing in Sarasota for their children on Oct. 19. Coleman said he could not comment on how Fullwood's charges will impact the family's battle to regain custody of their children.

North Port Police Chief Terry Lewis said investigators told DCF of Fullwood's charges before making the arrest. DCF workers were reported at the home Wednesday before Fullwood was arrested. DCF was reviewing the condition of the home to be able to testify at the child custody hearing next week.

Lewis said the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges are not related to Coralrose's murder investigation and warned people not to jump to any conclusions.

Clint Van Zandt, a former FBI profiler and 25-year law enforcement veteran, also said the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges might not be related to Coralrose's homicide.

"People with rich sexual desires will create a psychological bridge between their fantasies and reality," Van Zandt said, who runs his own company, Van Zandt and Associates, in Virginia. "🤬🤬🤬🤬 is the reality most people will choose."

Van Zandt, who specializes in behavioral and forensic threat assessments, said it is not common for a father to take the next step and act out a fantasy on his own children. However, he said cases like that do happen, and North Port Police have an obligation to continue a multiple-track investigation.

"The most accessed sites on the Internet is 🤬🤬🤬🤬," Van Zandt said, adding people with these kinds of fantasies usually act them out through 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Thanks for this link, River Rat. I have often thought that what Van Zandt says in this article is true. I think there are many people who have these types of fantasies, but don't necessarily act them out on a living child, especially an offspring.

However, the possession of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 is problematic because children were injured in order to obtain the 🤬🤬🤬🤬. So, to be part of the market is to be part of the problem.

first of all--- thanks again r/r for these updates- :blowkiss:
second I snipped this article 95% to get to the point I would like to make-
and now I am going to go WAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY out on a limb here- and ready for bashing---
The bolded statement- is the kind of stuff that makes me crazy----- DO NOT MISUNDERSTAND me--- what he was arested for, the 2 child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 videos---absolutly no excuse--not ok----nodda---nodda zip---
but now this statement this MOM made, makes me feel like if my husband is nice to a child, he must be a pervert-I just dont think that is fair---if he had inapropriate actions that were documented- then this staetement would work-- but now I dont want my husband to smile, or laugh or throw a football with the neighbor kids, cause he might be considered TOO friendly, thus a pervert with child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on his computer-
does anybody understand what I am trying to say?

Yes, I understand what you are trying to say. The thing is there is a difference between being nice to children and being too friendly and trying to insert yourself into children's games, etc. Big difference. Most women would not get suspicious if someone said hello to their child and smiled at them, but trying to join in the neighborhood games and being excessively friendly with the children (rather than the adult neighbors) would set off red flags in many minds. We all do have to watch out for the pervs in the world and men would be wise to be a little standoffish with other people's children.

What the heck is wrong with this world! How does Van Zandt even know whether Dale's sexual desires were fantasy and he never did anything to make them real? I truly do not understand at all why the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on the internet is being excused by so many who could do something to get it off there. The child in the video was raped and Van Zandt calls this internet perversion a fantasy and the perverts who look at it usually never act out or really want to do this? Most of the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 looked at is between adult men and women.

Thank you for the replies!

UNCONFIRMED but there are reports of Dale Fullwood's failure to pass lie detector tests.

:innocent: Since I cannot follow through now.......I will let you guys know that I had plans this past week to stop and have a drink at the bar where PornoPed worked to try out the old Fly on the Wall routine. :innocent:

It has been a month since Coralrose Fullwood's body was discovered in the woods near her home. Since then, parents in North Port have held their children tighter while investigators have worked around the clock.

But while the community and the Fullwood family wait anxiously for an arrest in the Sept. 17 slaying of the 6-year-old, a month without answers does not mean police are at a dead end, observers say.

Despite the fact that police have said they don't have a suspect, experts who have been following the investigation say there may be reason to believe police are closing in on an arrest.

"I think they are waiting maybe for someone to crack," said Chuck Chambers, a longtime private investigator and retired Palmetto police officer who has been following the case. "Not everyone breaks in the first 30 days. Sometimes if you're a co-conspirator, you'll lay low and then start opening up."

Police denied a break in Coralrose's homicide case when her father was arrested last week on two charges of possession of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. During questioning the day his daughter's body was found two blocks from the family's Calabash Lane home, Dale Fullwood, 46, admitted to detectives he had downloaded child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, records show. And North Port Police Chief Terry Lewis urged the public not to connect the arrest to the homicide investigation.

At the same time, Lewis insisted investigators are making progress every day.

"It's not a cold case," he said.

Police said Coralrose died of "homicidal violence" and that her body showed signs of "severe trauma." Preliminary results showed no signs of sexual abuse.

From the beginning, Lewis has been confident that the person who killed Coralrose will be brought to justice, even while he has continued to say he has no suspects.

The fact that an arrest has yet to be made is not necessarily a bad sign, said Larry Byrd, a former chief prosecutor and defense attorney in Sarasota. In a high-profile case like this, unless police believe a suspect poses a flight risk or may commit another killing, an arrest can wait until investigators are certain they have enough for a successful prosecution.

"A month is no time at all when it's something this serious," Byrd said. "It's the rush to judgment that gets police and prosecutors in trouble. I'm glad to hear they are taking their time."

Chambers said the reason investigators may be so confident is because they are holding out for the results of forensic testing they think will reveal answers.

Investigators spent days collecting evidence in and around the Fullwood home after her body was found. Dale Fullwood said in an interview last month that police took his clothes, Coralrose's clothes, computers and other belongings.

Police also impounded both of the family's vehicles, tore insulation out of the ceiling, dusted for fingerprints and left behind black circles drawn in permanent ink on the carpet in Coralrose's room and the living room.

Processing clothes and other evidence often takes six weeks or more, experts say. Results from those tests could be the key to cracking the case, Chambers said.

Police also have interviewed neighbors and state investigators interviewed the Fullwoods' four youngest children, who could have been witnesses to the crime.

Chambers said investigators must consider every angle, and that process is labor-intensive.

"From our perspective, we know these things take time," North Port Police Lt. Ed Fitzpatrick said last week.

River Rat,

Is the feeling in the local area that the father did it?

RiverRat,

Thank you so much for your diligence in posting these articles. You've really kept us all updated. :blowkiss:

I've had in mind from the moment we found out about the autistic children in the home if perhaps one of them got upset with the sister and accidentally killed her without meaning to. Especially since there was no sign of sexual abuse.

One of my very dear friends is keeping her 14 year old autistic nephew at home; he is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs in excess of 200 pounds. He is built like a professional football player. He is EASILY startled and doesn't have a clue as to his own strength.

IF this is what happened, I can see the dad removing the body to protect the autistic child. I can see a dad wrapping his little girl in her blanket to protect her body, and removing her from the scene to protect his son.

I don't really think the dad did it, because he immediately admitted to the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on the computer, and it was a small amount of 🤬🤬🤬🤬.....

kgeaux, I thought the same thing about a sibling but imo it's not a good idea to try and cover it up since there are other children in the home. As an aside thought on the father he simply fessed up to what he knew they'd find anyway and would look worse (if possible) if he lied imo.

Collecting, analyzing evidence is time-consuming but worth the effort

NORTH PORT -- Every Thursday evening, Gil Grissom of "CSI" solves another murder case on TV. He and his team examine the crime scene, collect all the right fibers and body fluids, process the evidence and come up with the answer, all within the space of an hour (with time out for commercials).

So why hasn't North Port made an arrest yet in the Coralrose Fullwood homicide case?

It's never that easy in real life.

"We call it the 'CSI Effect,'" said John King, Florida Department of Law Enforcement Special Agent supervisor. "We see it often in trials: People in juries try to compare a real case with what they see on TV, and find (the real case) is not as exciting."

King and his colleague, Special Agent Vince Dellacchio, explained that people often have unrealistic expectations that DNA, fibers, fingerprints and other evidence can be recovered at every crime scene. But that's not always possible, Dellacchio said.

Criminalistics Specialist Pam Schmidt of the North Port Police Department said she often has to explain, "This is not CSI." Schmidt is responsible for collecting evidence at most crime scenes in the city. She said it is a tedious, painstaking process.

First, material has to be found and collected. She will often use an "alternate light source" like ultraviolet light to discover the presence of body fluids at a scene. Trace evidence such as hairs and fibers must be gathered. Each separate item is packaged, labeled, sealed and properly stored, depending on the type of evidence it is.

For instance, liquid body fluids must be refrigerated. The department has special lockable refrigerators for that purpose.

"Ultimately, (our work is) geared to getting a successful prosecution. We don't want defendants to find loopholes," Dellacchio said.

King added, "We have a duty to the victims to do a quality investigation. We also do not want to make false accusations against an innocent person."

The older brother of slain North Port girl Coralrose Fullwood issued an emphatic defense of their jailed father, calling his arrest last week on child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges a "diversionary tactic."

In the first public showing of support for Dale Fullwood, 46, Seaton VanderWoude also blasted police for their handling of the investigation into his 6-year-old stepsister's Sept. 17 death.

"It is five weeks later, my sister's killer has not been found, nor a suspect even named," VanderWoude, a 21-year-old student at American University in Washington, D.C., wrote in an electronic message to the Herald-Tribune.

Dale Fullwood was charged last week with two counts of possession of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. He is scheduled to appear in court today to ask that his $50,000 bail be reduced.

Fullwood's wife, Ellen-Beth Fullwood, has declined interview requests. But her sister, Marci Bartoe, said last week that Fullwood should remain in jail.

"My father needs and deserves support from his family and friends," VanderWoude said.

VanderWoude said news of the videos his stepfather is accused of downloading is "jarring." But he questioned whether Fullwood intentionally downloaded the material and how the authorities can be certain the female in the videos is under the age of 12, as they have alleged.

VanderWoude also said his stepfather never sexually abused any of his children. Fullwood and his wife have five children together and his wife has two children from an earlier relationship, Seaton and a 17-year-old daughter.

"The one does not guarantee the other," VanderWoude wrote. "There is a huge leap between a video and sexual abuse."

Though North Port Police Chief Terry Lewis cautioned the public not to connect Fullwood's arrest with the homicide investigation, VanderWoude accused Lewis of doing just that.

"How can Lewis sit there and assert this has nothing to do with the murder investigation, while a picture of my dead sister is on his binder for all the world to see," VanderWoude wrote, referring to the day Lewis announced Fullwood's arrest.

Lewis declined to comment on VanderWoude's statements.

"I can't imagine the grief that the family's going through," Lewis said Monday. "I don't want to cause any more undue anguish."

Two days after Coralrose's body was found in a wooded area two blocks from her family's Calabash Lane home, a judge placed her four siblings in the custody of their maternal grandparents, Saul and Doreen VanderWoude, of Lee County.

The judge said the conditions inside Dale and Ellen-Beth Fullwood's home were "disgusting."

John Coleman, the family's attorney, said officials will meet Thursday to discuss Ellen-Beth Fullwood's efforts to regain custody of her four youngest children, ages 4 to 12.

It's unclear how Fullwood's arrest on 🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges will affect the custody battle.

While the rest of the family has been tight-lipped, Saul VanderWoude praised his grandson for speaking out.

"I'm sorry I didn't have the guts to write it first," he said.

SARASOTA -- A state's attorney told a judge Tuesday that additional child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 videos were found on the computer of the father of slain North Port girl Coralrose Fullwood. It is unclear whether Dale Fullwood, 46, will face additional charges.

Fullwood was charged last week with two counts of possession of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. Investigators said Fullwood downloaded two videos that showed a girl under the age of 12 being raped.

State's attorney Lon Arend said that investigators believe Fullwood downloaded several more videos showing child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and incest during a bail reduction hearing Tuesday morning. Fullwood's bail remains at $50,000.

Coralrose Fullwood's body was found Sept. 17 in a wooded lot two blocks from her North Port home. North Port police have not made any arrests in connection with her death.

SARASOTA -- Standing in his orange prison suit, shackles on his wrists and ankles, Dale Fullwood listened as an assistant state attorney read aloud seven titles of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 found on Fullwood's computer.

"Fifteen-year-old gets raped" .... "13-year-old sister having sex," Lon Arend read. These are names of deleted videos Arend says law enforcement recovered from Fullwood's laptop computer, in addition to the two he has been charged with possessing.

Tuesday, Circuit Court Judge Charles Roberts denied Fullwood, 46, a second request to reduce his $50,000 bond.

Arend said the videos depicted "father incest with children and young children being raped."

Arend said Fullwood had "numerous" files on his computer downloaded on Aug. 24 and deleted on Sept. 15 and 16. Fullwood's daughter, Coralrose, 6, was found murdered Sept. 17 at a construction site two blocks from her Calabash Lane home in North Port.

Fullwood told detectives he last saw Coralrose when he got home from work at two that morning. When Coralrose did not come out of her room later that morning, the family could not find her or her comforter and called 9-1-1.

Assistant Public Defender Adam Tebrugge, who defended Joseph Smith in the Carlie Brucia murder case, is representing Fullwood.

Tebrugge said Arend was talking about things Fullwood has not been charged with. He objected to Arend's details of the type of 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 saying he was "simply trying to prejudice the community against Fullwood by bringing up this extra information."

"If they (SAO) have additional charges against (Fullwood), then they should go ahead and do so," Tebrugge said. "(We) know the charges against Mr. Fullwood, but to consider the lurid descriptions would be inappropriate."

Tebrugge also said Fullwood's bond is "inappropriate." He said under the Sarasota County Judicial Circuit bond schedule, bond on these types of charges should by typically set at $1,000 for each count, so he believed it should only be $2,000. However, Bennett decided to set Fullwood's bond at $25,000 per count.

Tebrugge said Fullwood is being charged with two counts of obscene material possession -- possessing a photograph of sexual performance by a child.

He said if Fullwood was charged with using a child or promoting the use of a child in a sexual performance, then the bond amount would be up to the judge.

Tebrugge said Fullwood had extensively cooperated with law enforcement. Tebrugge also said he spoke with the attorney handling Fullwood's custody battle, John Coleman from Fort Myers. The four Fullwood siblings, who range in age from 4 to 12, are in temporary custody of their grandparents, Saul and Doreen VanderWoude of Fort Myers, following a judge's decision.

"He said Fullwood has made himself completely available for any law enforcement request," Tebrugge said. "At the time of his arrest, Mr. Fullwood was employed, he has his family, he has his residence in North Port, and has no significant history of prior criminal conduct."

Tebrugge said in this type of case, a person is usually released on his own recognizance, or freed under a supervised release status.

Tebrugge also asked Roberts to consider Fullwood's indigence application.

"Quite frankly, Fullwood does not have the funds to post any kind of bond, and is not a flight risk," Tebrugge said.

Roberts asked Arend the state attorney's office if charges have been filed. Arend said that they are planning to file charges on the two counts, and are looking at additional charges; "when the time comes."

However, sitting quietly in the courtroom were North Port Police Detective Tom Stella and an unidentified Florida Department of Law Enforcement Agent.

Stella is the lead investigator in the death of Coralrose. North Port Police Chief Terry Lewis said at a press conference last week the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges against Fullwood are not related to the murder investigation.

Stella said he could not comment on why he was there, or what he thought of the outcome. Capt. Robert Estrada said police normally do not attend bond reduction hearings, saying that usually the request is denied on the first try.

"What judge wants to overrule another judges' bond decision," Estrada said.

Estrada said the two investigators were there because the charges resulted from the work of another agency.

Lewis said the U.S. Secret Service Computer Forensic unit in Miami Florida developed the evidence. The Secret Service found two video files on Fullwood's computer, according to Lewis.

A doctor at the University of Miami's School of Medicine reviewed the videos and said the girl in the videos was younger than 12 years old. She was allegedly having sex with an older man.

A couple of days before 6-year-old Coralrose Fullwood went missing last month, her father deleted several child pornographic videos from his laptop computer, an assistant state attorney said today.

A Sarasota County circuit judge denied Dale Fullwood's request today to have his $50,000 bond reduced.

Coralrose Fullwood was found dead Sept. 17 in wooded area a few blocks from her North Port home. The case has been ruled a homicide, but no one has been charged in the case.

Lon Arend said Fullwood, who is charged with two counts of possession of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, deleted the files, which had titles referring to incest and rape, a couple days before the girl went missing on Sept. 17. She was found later that day, a few blocks from her North Port home. No one has been charged in the girl's murder.

Arend said a Sarasota Circuit judge today denied reducing Fullwood's $50,000 bond. Fullwood's attorney, assistant public defender Adam Tebrugge, argued that the typical bond for the charges are $1,000 per count, Arend said. He also said Fullwood has ties to the community and has a job - at MotorSports Cafe in North Fort Myers - and isn't a flight risk. Tebrugge didn't return calls today.

Fullwood reportedly told detectives that he had downloaded a "couple" of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 files. Acting on that information, law enforcement authorities obtained a search warrant and confiscated Fullwood's laptop computer. The Secret Service's Miami computer lab and a physician examined the computer's files and found video of a girl younger than 12 engaging in sex with an older man, a probable cause affidavit states.

Coralrose was found slain of "homicidal violence" with trauma to the body, according to preliminary autopsy results released the week after she was found. She was found in a wooded area near a construction site not far from the family's house. Police held daily press briefings in the days following her discovery and the case has garnered regional attention.

North Port police haven't named any suspects nor ruled anyone out, Police Chief Terry Lewis has said.

Last month, a Sarasota Circuit Judge ordered Ellen Fullwood's parents take temporary shelter of the 6-year-old's siblings in their South Fort Myers home. Their parents are to get supervised visits with the children. A week later, the judge denied a request from the parents to get unsupervised visits with the children.

Dale Fullwood is being held in the Sarasota County Jail.

In the article, Van Zandt says that people who usually have "this type of 🤬🤬🤬🤬" act out on their fantasies and "rich sexual desires" through the 🤬🤬🤬🤬. By saying that most of the things looked at online is 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and lumping child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 into the mix with the rest of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 is trying to say that the children being literally raped do not matter where the law is concerned and the men who "like" to watch and fantasize aren't really that bad of criminals. Since so many children, I believe 1 in 10 is sexually molested by a relative, how does VanZandt know for sure that none of these abusers don't have 🤬🤬🤬🤬 of any type? To me, this is excusing and watering down the acts of the perverts who like to view child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and there are so many cases in the news of men who are caught downloading child rape videos and gets slaps on the hand, such as the one Nancy Grace mentioned who had downloaded a video of about a 3 year old girl being raped and was trying to send on the file to someone else on AOl. This freak was given probation only. Something needs to be done to get this stuff off the internet and throw the freaks who are proven to download it under the jail starting with Dale Fuller. People caught with dog rape videos would probably cause more of an uproar in this degenerate society today.
