Good gracious! ^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^

How low can it get? The sheriff has said that these victims families weren’t wealthy folks and to steal from them, or anybody for that matter, is truly sad.

Florida woman spends money collected for murdered men’s families on herself

Sept 27, 2020

Amanda Brown, 32, has been accused of taking nearly $12,000 from a now-defunct GoFundMe called “Polk County Triple Homicide, Family Expenses” and depositing it into her personal accounts, according to WFLA.

“We have her all over the county spending money. She’s at a Walmart, she’s at various ATM machines. She even went and paid a $1,300 water bill in Frostproof,” said Polk County Sheriff’s Office Chief Steve Lester.

[..]

According to the arrest affidavit, Brown was linked to the GoFundMe after she was arrested on a meth charge and detectives noticed a resemblance between her mug shots and surveillance footage of the woman who was spending the GoFundMe funds. Detectives said she confessed to using the funds for personal use, saying she had intended to give the money to the families, but once the money came in, she began using it for herself.

In addition to her original drug charges, jail records show Brown has been charged with three counts of using the identity of a deceased person, two counts of using someone else’s identity without consent, and single counts each of misrepresenting a solicitation as a charity and grand theft.

The sheriff’s office sponsored a fundraiser so at least these families got something to help them. I’m glad that the Fund company refunded the donations that are in the story that @Seattle1 posted above and hopefully some of that was forwarded to these victims.

I’m really surprised that LE hasnt turned up that gun that was thrown out. RW told them about where it was discarded.

Polk grand jury indicts Wiggins in July triple homicide in Frostproof

Sept 30, 2020

A Polk County grand jury handed up an indictment late Tuesday against Wiggins, 26, for three counts of first-degree murder in the fatal shootings of Brandon Rollins, Damion Tillman and Keven Springfield.

[..]

In addition to the murder charges, the grand jury on Tuesday indicted T.J. Wiggins on allegations of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and tampering with evidence, stemming from allegations he threw the handgun out the window after leaving the scene of the killings. He’s scheduled to return to court for a status hearing Nov. 3.

I can't believe that TJ didn't throw the gun in the water. He had plenty of time and I don't think it was the first gun he's ever tossed.

MOO

And yet, he didn't turn in his brother...... I guess he'll rot right along with him. Sick, Cold, Heartless, A-holes. It must be genetic.

Polk grand jury indicts Wiggins in July triple homicide in Frostproof
Snips:
"Wiggins’ younger brother, William Robert, brought a second break in the case when, during questioning, he detailed witnessing the killings as he sat in his brother’s pickup truck about 10 p.m. July 19, according to Sheriff’s Office reports. He told detectives he’d heard his brother accuse Springfield, 30, a mechanic, of taking his truck, reports stated, and he watched as the three men were shot in their trucks."

"Detectives also found bullets at the family compound where Wiggins was living, and they matched the ones fired at the murder scene, detectives said."

@PayrollNerd , I’m not sure about FL, but in my state (SC) they have a “Hand Of one is the hand of ALL” way of looking at murder and I think that RW and MW would have been charged right along with Tony if it were here. I covered a local case when I worked at a paper where a guy murdered someone in a store and the man who was just there got charged. Maybe it hinges on what they knew at the time but I know they consider that if someone just stands by as it happens, they are guilty too.

I honestly feel like they offered Robert a plea deal. Tell us what happened and we’ll give you less time to watch your child grow up. Because before in questioning they would bring up his son and boy he got mad.

That is something he best think about. MW too.

So I wasn't mistaken... :) Let us know what happens! I have no doubt he will be indicted though.
