This is another case of adults taking a child and creating a monster and then blaming and punishing the child.
It is one thing to have an adult being tried and using prior abuse as a defense. But this is a child. A child who has had horrific things happen to him. A innocent child who was taught this behavior.
In my opinion, Christian is merely the weapon, the method of murder, and his father, his stepfather, his mother and grandmother are the murderers. The very people who are supposed to protect him, instead created a monster. A confused, mentally disturbed little person who, in my opinion, has no control over his past or his present.
How anyone cannot see just how unjust this prosecution of this child is must be blind or not have a heart. While very sad for the baby who suffered and died-who knows how this would have turned out had the mother been home properly supervising them (knowing Christian's past,) had she called 911 right away instead of waiting 8 hours to call, had helped Christian grow and heal from his abuse and neglect.
And shame on the government that failed to protect him, that failed to insure he was healthy, that failed him in every sense of the word and is now attempting to punish him for their own failures.
You can talk about evil all you want, but I don't believe people are born evil. At least not in this case. This child was taught evil. He was taught how to abuse, how to attack, how to hate. And allowed to do so-even his mother admitted that she left her 2 year old with a 12 year old she knew broke the baby's leg just prior to this tragedy.
I mean seriously??? And she is getting off easier than him with a simple manslaughter??? Someone desperately needs to step in for this child (obviously his family isn't going to do it) and help this child escape a lifetime in prison. He will be housed with juveniles until he turns 18 at which time he will be housed with adults.
He can be put into a high security mental health facility which can help him and rehabilitate him. Don't punish this child for something that was a result of how the adults in his life all failed him.
