I wish they would have kept this juvenile, no court, plea deal, counseling, incarceration until age 22. Just seems like too much to convict a 13 year old as an adult.

But don't forget the victims or need to protect society. Some of these teens might be able to grow up and change, but what about their victims and the victims' families? What about the teens who do things like this and grow up to remain a danger to society?

Because I imagine most who do this will remain abnormal. We knew not to commit murder when we were 13 and knew what murder meant. I am really concerned about just giving a hush plea deal to teenagers (not little kids) who commit extreme violence.

He even did the whole "look how cool I am" selfie thing afterwards. No remorse.

To tell the truth, my feelings for Rosa are also a teensy bit hostile and biased, given his confession and all the proof we've seen.

Yeeeeah it's definitely the judges fault if he's found guilty The guilty are always setting up a reason for a guilty verdict before the trial begins. Oooorr it's because he's guilty. I hope it is a no nonsense judge!!! This kid committed an absolutely horrible crime!!

I've listened to most of the hearings publicly available, and the failed defense arguments that I think they are blaming on the Judge are motions on civil rights law, and not specific facts to this case. To be clear, a civil rights complaint isn't a fact just because the defense files the allegation. JMO

Also, and I think this is important -- several times, the Court denied housing DR in a juvenile holding or outside of the jail without appropriate security readily in place. Although DK is kept away from adult jailed inmates, for his protection, it's clear that youthful offenders were believed to need protection from DR. Sadly, I'm afraid this kid is a psychopath.

As first reported by WTVJ, prosecutors claim Rosa had said he would be going as Jason for Halloween in messages to friends prior to the stabbing, which took place just before midnight.
