FL - Former President Donald Trump indicted, 40 counts, classified documents and obstruction of justice, June 2023, Trial May 2024 #2

OMG- things are getting worse and worse- to be blunt: Trump is taking our country to he!!-- he has lots of help - from Steve Bannon and some leadership of the Republican party: I am sickened to see this country devolve into a state which is unfamiliar to me-- and the harm Trump is doing, to the present time has zero consequences.
I’m horrified every single day at what the news brings me on this man. First off, they should quit addressing him as the President, he’s not. He’s a continuing threat to our national security and our democracy and he’s been given enough rope. This needs to end he belongs in jail for his disregard and disrespect for our justice system and then prison for being a domestic terrorist. IMO and a lot of other people’s.

Pratt sounds incredibly self-serving.

In emails and conversations after meeting with Trump, Pratt described Trump's remarks to at least 45 others, including six journalists, 11 of his company's employees, 10 Australian officials, and three former Australian prime ministers, the sources told ABC News.

<snip>

According to the sources, Pratt insisted to investigators that he told others about his meeting with Trump to show them how he was advocating for Australia with the United States. Some of the Australian officials that sources said he told were, as reflected in news reports at the time, involved in then-ongoing negotiations with the Biden administration over a deal for Australia to purchase a number of nuclear-powered attack submarines from the United States.

The deal was ultimately secured earlier this year…

First amendment! Let poor Donald talk. So what if he tells national secrets that get repeated.

(I am not being serious, of course. I am scared we still don't know the extent of what he shared/sold/showed off.)

Perhaps so, but not even close to the self-servedness of Trump.

No one wears the blame for Pratt having any secret info to divulge to 45 others other than the Trumpet 45 who cannot keep his mouth shut thereby putting his own citizens and military personnel at direct risk of harm. That is the ultimate in vile. Lock him up. The ignoramous is a direct threat to US national security.

No we don’t! I don’t understand why that doesn’t scare the crap out of everyone!

He is. He owns the largest packaging and recycling company in the world, and is currently opening up paper mills that use 100% recycled materials throughout the US. His Aussie dad was a manufacturing leader.

Pratt gets invited to Aussie govt conferences to speak about reducing landfills and methane emissions, lives ½ in the US and ½ in Australia. And seems to mingle with politicians, likely to advance his business and seek investment. imo

Now there's breaking news that the sharing of highly confidential military secrets is MUCH more widespread than thought. Trumps tells an Aussie billionaire all about US nuclear subs, payloads and designs. That guy then tells at least a dozen people...and so on and so on...probably. CNN broadcaster then went on to mention the many more incidents of loose lips from Trump...Iranian missile lauchpad photo and locations of our nuclear subs off the Korean peninsula. He's told stuff to Russians and Japanese on Mar a Lago's dining balcony...just a plethora of stuff spewing:mad:

Should there be further criminal charges related to these offences?

This is treason, IMO. The Constitution states that treason is “adhering to enemies and giving them aid and comfort.”

IMO Russia is an enemy. Of course to DT, Putin is a savvy genius who was so smart to invade Ukraine.

@sunshineray I’m responding to you here because I’m confused between all the Trump threads, but I think this one may be more for the Florida Trump crimes.

He cannot stop showing off about secrets that he knows, just can’t hold it in when he wants to impress businessmen and billionaires and dignitaries from other countries.

Similar to waving around classified documents in front of people who have no business knowing anything.

IMO

Should, yeah probaly but the Aussie guy incident was in Kelly's acquired evidence but, from my understanding, not included in the indictments. Why, I don't know? Just makes me think what else is there that's not actually in the indictments? AJMO

There's too many threads...ummm too many indictments, in too many states actually, to keep it all straight or find them. Wow, isn't that quite the statement in talking about a man who's a front runner for President!? Treasonous? A BIG yes...AJMO
I hear Golden Earring starting to play...yet again

Months after leaving the White House, former President Donald Trump allegedly discussed potentially sensitive information about U.S. nuclear submarines with a member of his Mar-a-Lago Club -- an Australian billionaire who then allegedly shared the information with scores of others, including more than a dozen foreign officials, several of his own employees, and a handful of journalists, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The potential disclosure was reported to special counsel Jack Smith's team as they investigated Trump's alleged hoarding of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, the sources told ABC News. The information could shed further light on Trump's handling of sensitive government secrets.

Prosecutors and FBI agents have at least twice this year interviewed the Mar-a-Lago member, Anthony Pratt, who runs U.S.-based Pratt Industries, one of the world's largest packaging companies.

According to Pratt's account, as described by the sources, Pratt told Trump he believed Australia should start buying its submarines from the United States, to which an excited Trump -- "leaning" toward Pratt as if to be discreet -- then told Pratt two pieces of information about U.S. submarines: the supposed exact number of nuclear warheads they routinely carry, and exactly how close they supposedly can get to a Russian submarine without being detected…

While Pratt told investigators he couldn’t tell if what Trump said about U.S. submarines was real or just bluster, investigators nevertheless asked Pratt not to repeat the numbers that Trump allegedly told him, suggesting the information could be too sensitive to relay further, ABC News was told…

Never mind, it's all fake news.

The fallout in Australia from this disclosure of US submarine capabilities (considering we signed an AUKUS contract in 2021 to buy 3-5 US nuclear subs) ....

Former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull - he didn't tell me
Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott - I don't remember that
Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison - no comment
Defence Industry Minister Pat Conroy - not going to comment on US domestic issues
Former Ambassador to the US Joe Hockey - its on Wikipedia
Chief Executive of the University of Sydney’s United States Studies Centre Michael Green - there is a clear pattern of trump being careless with sensitive information and the intelligence community
Naval historian at UNSW Richard Dunley - navies have always been very sensitive about this sort of disclosure

The different threads are what's keeping everything straight for me.

Yet he preens like a peacock- and is apparently untouchable - there are no consequences for his traitorous actions-- apparently he can do whatever he pleases, reveal security secrets-- (no problem)
when the attorney general states no one is above the law he forgot to add this "except
Donald Trump" what an example for our country to witness this debacle of our time.

Oh that's ok then, he was just promoting how great US submarines are.

I think I should have added that I was being sarcastic :)
