In relation to the phone has anyone considered the brother asked her to mail it but the friend called her also (phone records) and asked her to meet him with the phone that night or on her way to work in the morning? Could be why we're hearing she talked to both about the phone. I haven't been keeping up with all the details in this case but I did catch that the brother was at her condo with friends while she was away. Hope they have checked them all out.

Since the phone hasnt been recieved yet then we know that someone has the phone, whether they threw it away or not It will interesting to see what calls were made on that phone AFTER (if any) Jennifer went missing.

Dampness in towels and in the bathroom in nothing unusual in Florida. The towels could remain that way for more than 24 hours. I don't know about a wet bathtub.

This young woman is in danger, everything has to be questioned. Questioning her "character" isn't an issue, making decisions to what to investigate as possibilites will help solve this mystery. This young woman got her self in a vulnerable situation somewhere along the line. Orlando is a town that is awake 24 hours a day so it wouldn't be unusual for someone to go out at any hour to run an errand.

From what 13th Juror posted a thread or so back, it was reported, it was the guy who left his cell-phone at Jen's who called about the phone.

I dunno tho, we have had conflicting reports, as I think it was originally reported it was her brother who had called her about the phone, but maybe they both called her. Also, it seems to me, we were left in the dark for quite awhile as to what was the package Jennifer had to mail. That's how I remember it.

Yes, you are correct, LaMer. They both spoke with Jen.

From the news film clips aired here in the Orlando area - I posted exactly what both Travis & Logan said to the reporters. 'Their words' to the media.

Each said that they had spoken on the phone with Jennifer on Monday. First Logan called his sister - to inform her about the "left behind" cell requesting her assistance in 'overnighting it' back to Travis. Later, she spoke with Travis and assured him she would 'overnight the phone'. She advised him that he had missed some calls & suggested he call his 'voice mail' to retrieve his messages.

In one clip, Travis said the phone had never arrived at his home. He said he had kept in touch with his parents 'back home' as they were checking his mailbox daily It was not determined in the news clip whether Jen called Travis or vice-versa.

Drew Kesse said he spoke to his daughter early on Mon. evening as she returned home from work. In another report - Joyce Kesse said the last time she had spoken to Jennifer was on Monday morning as she was returning to Orlando from Lauderdale.

News reports from the Kesse family also had statements that Jennifer spoke (on the phone) to several friends on Monday evening - Rob Allen being the last known person to speak with her.

All of the above info I've posted -- are direct statements on the local TV news directly from the horse's mouth - so-to-speak. Some of it also appeared in published reports, I believe.

I don't know if the guy, Travis (I think that's his name) called before or after Rob called. Anyone?

Yes, that's his name. Travis Bourguignon.

Travis did not give a specific time frame as to when he spoke with Jen on Monday night - at least not in the clips aired by the media.

I do not think Travis & Logan live here in the Orlando area. Not the Kesse parents either. I think they reside elsewhere in Florida. West coast - Tampa area?? Sorry - can't remember exactly what I heard several weeks ago.

It appears according to the family & news reports that Rob was the 'last known person' to speak with Jen. However, the phone records have been (or are being) checked. No results have been published or reported as yet - and frankly I wouldn't expect LE to release that info when they secure it.

I think there are lots of things we don't know and of course it is good to hold back info, as we all know and can respect.

Good question tho, to as why would an abductor take the cell-phone from her condo.

Personally, I believe Jennifer may have gone out that night to mail the phone. We all seem to be divided on that theory.

She might not have wanted to take the time in the morning. Possibly not wanting to be late for work. I wonder if she was late for work on Monday, when she returned from her trip, if so, she wouldn't want to be late again. Then there is always the chance she could've mailed it from work too. Maybe. Maybe not.

The damp towels are puzzeling tho, but who knows how long it would've taken them to dry and the water left there (LE wasn't convinced of the drying time), and she could've showered that evening and left her make-up and all on the counter when un-packing. Boy I dunno. It's all so sad.

I just pray she is found and can come home ALIVE!

The damp towel(s) could be a bit of a puzzle for me, as well - but, I tend to agree with you, LaMer. I live down here in this mostly humid climate and I can tell you from experience that it often takes quite a while for wet towels to dry or a shower floor or tub not to show signs of use many hours later.

After a long day - both driving the 2 and a half to 3 hrs from Lauderdale, a full day at work, then unpacking & getting re-situated at home - I'd certainly be taking a bath or shower before retiring for the night. IMO - the amount of dampness in the towels might also depend on whether she shampooed her hair and could have used one as a sort of turban afterwards. (just a thought)

As for the make-up and toiletries back in her bathroom - isn't that what we all do when we unpack from a trip and need to be organized for our morning routine?

I know I always do. Just because her make-up stuff was "laid out in the bathroom" doesn't necessarily denote to me that she was present in her condo on Tuesday morning getting ready for work. But - on the other hand - maybe she was.

I also hope there is a miracle in this puzzling case - but the realist in me isn't holding out much hope for that outcome. Not after almost a month and not a single sign that she is alive. :(

Hi MyGirlSadie :)

Yes, that cell phone is an item of high interest to LE. It was one of the specific items volunteers were told to look for along the roadways and buffer zones last weekend when the search changed from the woods & canals area to neighborhood roads.

I can't imagine that the perp(s) would be stupid enough to use the phone or even turn it on (tracking signal) but ya' just never know how utterly stupid some criminals can be! Let's hope they did!!!

I truly hope that "someone who knows something" comes forward and contacts LE.

My current thinking is that - with $115,000.00 reward on the line - either there really is only one perp and no one else knows anything - or both perps are so deeply involved that neither can afford to confess their participation. Especially, if Jen is no longer alive. :(

Special prayers on this Sunday for Jennifer, the Kesse family and the investigators working so diligently on this case.

Mr. and Mrs. Kesse were on FOX News 2:55PM EST

They reported the # of fliers which were distributed yesterday. Another 270,00 to go tomorrow, I think this was by mail.

Mr. Kesse said, Jennifer called him on her way home from work while he was cooking dinner, she then talked to her brother, a few hours to a girlfriend, and then to Rob. No mention of her talking to Travis about the cell-phone. I thought I had read where they did talk to each other about the cell-phone. I have to check that one out.

They also mentioned, Jennifer was mentioned on Ameriaca's Most Wanted last night. Sad to say, I read on another forum, she was only a 10 sec clip.

They were pleading for that one tip!

13th juror nice in info about the make up. I wonder if there was kleenex is the trash she used to blot her lipstick.

The things in the bathroom could have been, she slipped into a nightie after she arrived home, lounged around, then showered, washed her hair, put on a clean nightie and went to bed. I wonder if she has a habit of washing her hair in the a.m.?
If she had several pieces of luggage, did she remove them from the car when she first arrived home? Or did she go back out to the car after dark?
I wonder if the packed clothes had gotten thrown in the washing machine as you would think?

Can we do a profile on this person/persons?

Something like
Unemployed, high school dropout, 30's, male, drug user, outstanding warrants, past due child support, renter/flop house resident, prison record (burglary, assault, drugs, auto theft)

Here's two profile images I found tonight. No coloring just negative with color.

Could be image from used video, but showed up on the car. Looks like guy carrying box and maybe purse drapped over his arm.

I went back and highlighted where I "think" the face is at. I couldn't even find again on that other one.

There are no early collections and the only 24 hour post office is located at the airport, which is about 25 minutes from her condo.

I am always disappointed when the small details aren't released immediately. If the the window of opportunity was smaller, local people to the area could really search their brains for something out of the ordinary they saw in that time period. Trying to recall details over say a 24 hour time frame is difficult and most people won't even put forth the effort. Narrowing it down to say 7. a.m. to 8:30 a.m. someone might just recall something.

If you go out to overnite something and put in a box how do you pay? Do you have an account number with the shipper or use a credit card? Just curious - I haven't ever done that except with a Fed Ex shipper number - others I go to a Mail Boxes during business hours.

  • #238
You can prepay with a credit card OR, if you have an account with whoever, they send you a bill.

I would say most would prepay with a credit card.

  • #239
I didn't realize you could do that as I never have. The few times I overnite in the box I use the shipper number and never paid attention. Duh.

Many moons ago Fedx would let you put a personal check in the flap for the amount, which use to be 7.00.
