Why do LE believe that the person in the video is a person of interest? Couldn't it be just about anyone walking by at that particular time of day? If it is a regular person just walking by he could have seen the video on TV and not even recognized himself because the picture is so blurred. He might not even put two and two together if he walks by there daily...maybe something to do with a job or lives there.

Why is LE focussed on this person and not someone else on the video?

Bobbi, I have been wondering the same thing. I think my last post might help explain it to you, I believe it possibly explains it. The timing of seeing Jen's car in the area and the timing of the poi on the tape make the person the poi.

What do you think about that?

Greta's photo tour shows where the car had been found. At the time Greta's crew took the photo's there is a mail truck parked next to where Jenn's car was found. I am wondering if that mail truck is stopped there everyday.

I just had an interesting, thought provoking email from an aunt in Orlando. This is "beauty shop talk" but like I said, thought provoking...Did Jennifer work at a travel agency? She also said there is to be something on the 5 pm news tonight about a new connection they have made. She will email me about it.

She said "this girl looks like the one in aruba~~&~~~aruba girl booked trip with travel agency~~fla gal worked at a travel agency~~_____ thinks they were kidnapped by a sex slavery gang."

She doesn't work at a travel agency (her company is called Central Florida Investments, so sounds like she's a financial analyst or broker of some kind), but she did just get back from a cruise so that would most likely have been booked through a travel agency ...

Jennifer Kesses Family looking for "One Tip

By Chuck Hustmyre

ORLANDO, Fla. (Crime Library) — Family and friends of an Orlando woman, Jennifer Kesse, who has been missing for more than three weeks say they are confident she is still alive and that all investigators need is a break in the case.

Information from the searches and from a special tip line (1-800-423-8477) has generated hundreds of leads, according to investigators.

"The police are very hot on something," Jennifer's father, Drew Kesse, told Crime Library. "We truly feel she's right here somewhere and she's with us. It's just that we need that one tip."

~another snippet

Investigators do not appear to consider Kesse's boyfriend, who lives about three hours away in Ft. Lauderdale, to be a serious suspect. Two days before she disappeared, Kesse and her boyfriend returned from a vacation on the island of St. Croix.

A family friend, who knows both Jennifer Kesse and her boyfriend, told Crime Library: "I know they're not focusing on him. He was in Ft. Lauderdale at the time and they've accounted for his whereabouts."

5 pm News - WKMG Local 6 News - Wed

Jen's car is said to be "central" to the police investigation.

Keeping 'Jennifer's Disappearance Story' front & center - there was a film piece aired on the early evening news.

Drew & Logan Kesse were examining Jen's abandoned car for the first time since LE finished with processing it. It is being stored somewhere. Drew commented that 'items were missing' from the car but Drew also said he didn't know if LE had them or if the items were removed by the alleged perpetrator(s). Both father & son said it was difficult seeing & going through Jen's car.

Joyce Kesse was not present with her husband - but, she was quoted as stating that she had no desire to ever see that car again. The Kesses said they plan to sell that car very soon - that when Jennifer is found, they will buy her a new car. (IMO - that must mean one of the parent's names must be on the title or they would not have the authority to sell Jen's car while she is still listed as "missing".)

In the past 2-3 days - there have been several more blips by LE encouraging people with possible tips to please call. One officer alluded to "the psychics" calling in saying LE would speak to anyone and hoped that "the someone" with alleged psychic powers would call in with the tip they've been seeking - said that person who "knows" is still out there.

Not much more news about the FBI joining the investigation. Just that they are working on the "poi" in the still pics at the gate - and info already posted in above articles.

There may be more in the late news .. I'll keep watching.

Some local TV stations to keep an eye on ...

That makes sense to me. Thanks for posting the info. Do LE think the person might have just dropped her car off and was walking away? I still don't see how anyone will be able to identify the poi because of the condition of the photo. Maybe another video somewhere will have a better picture of him.

I worry about Jennifer's parents and what it will do to them if she is not found alive. They seem to have convinced themselves that she is still alive.
I know that they have to have hope because that is what will keep them going but she has been gone awhile now and the chances of someone taking her just to hide her somewhere is pretty low. No one has asked for money or anything. I hope that she is found alive. I think it will be like a double blow to this loving family if she isn't. Sad situation darn it.

Bobbi, about Jennifer's car, when our youngest bought her first car, we also had our name on the title/loan, I think it was because of financing, as she had to start somewhere with establishing a line of credit, not sure she would have qualified all be herself.

About the person who is the poi, didn't Beyond Belief see some letters on possibly what was a package? I'd have to read back to be sure, but if so, one would think the FBI would have some great equipment, which might help.

I just can't even imagine what her family is going through. Devastation for sure, but just imagine what depths that must be. Our hearts are breaking for them, just imagine, their hearts are being torn out!

Well, I finally see something, that I know I can't read, but better equipment will be able too. That package/letter has an address on it. I can read the word FROM. and the word TO
I printed it out. Looked like capital ? small letters t or ll Last J or Y or G cursive,a e, i, o, or u, then y or g. Just example. "Russell Gray or Jay" "Worrell Jay" , You probably won't be able to see this, put the general place to look.

I think its going to Tipton or something that Tipt... Maybe Georgia.

This is BB's post I was referring to. So possibly the FBI with better equipment will be able to decipher something, as BB stated above.

I have to say here tho, when I am visiting our condo, we also have a wall with fencing above it, and I see lots of people walking by, but I don't think I could ever describe them if I had to.

When messing around with those photos, you can see images all over the place, but I am truly thinking that tapes that have been used mulitible time have old film images showing through.

Armchair sleuths abuzz with Kesse tips

Concerned citizens, raised on real and fictional crime shows, are turning into armchair sleuths, offering police a parade of suspects and theories in the baffling disappearance of Jennifer Kesse.

They send messages to a Web forum, swapping opinions on whether grainy images of a "person of interest" show a woman or a man, whether the person has on a hat or just an odd hairdo. Some post satellite images of the condominium complex where Orlando police found Kesse's abandoned car and suggest places for searchers to check.

Armchair sleuths abuzz with Kesse tips. . .
It was an interesting article. Thanks for posting it.

One thing I noticed that was left out of the article is that on forums we are usually tossing around ideas for others to mull over and give a response to help weed out the bad thoughts and theories so that we don't send in bad ideas or tips.

I, for one, would have to be pretty sure I had something of value to offer before I would tip it to L.E. on a case like this one, exactly because of the very high number of tips they must already be getting. Still, it was a good article on the whole and I thank you for posting it.

Nothing really new regarding the investigation has been on the tube today.

Some of the same film footage from yesterday of Drew Kesse inspecting Jen's car and saying how much he hopes that whatever the forensics people were able to lift from the car - will help in finding Jen. He said that LE has not told him what items they took for forensics to inspect. Drew commented that Jean always had stuff like clothing, mail, magazines n' other things left in her car.

The 4 pm newscast on WKMG - Local6 ran an interview with Travis Bourguignon (Hope I spelled that name correctly as I just got a few seconds glance at it!).

He was the family friend staying in Jen's condo with her brother, Logan, while Jen was on vacation with her boyfriend, Rob Allen.

Travis was the one who left his cell phone behind. He said he spoke to Jen on the phone on Monday evening. She told him he had missed several calls on his cell.

As we all now know - Jen said that she would "overnight" the phone back to him. Travis commented that Jen said he'd have it in a day or 2. He never received it. The cell phone co. is checking his cell phone call records.

If I told someone I would "overnight" an item to them that I knew they needed & were anxious to receive - I would go find an outlet asap - even if it meant doing it that same night when I was dead tired from a long day. But, hey - that's just me.

The police - as reported on this newscast - seem to think that may have been what happened as well -- that Jen went out on Monday night to locate a place where she could "overnight" Travis's phone.

There may be more on this case later this evening.

Hey - Big breaking news on the Van der Sloots (all 3 of them) being served with a civil suit in N.Y. by Dave & Beth through their atty (John Q.) over Natalee Holloway. Joran was served on the plane just after it landed in N.Y. Big surprise, Joran! Check this thread.

Greta will have the complete story tonight - FOX - "On the Record". Such big news, I imagine everyone else will too. <lol>

I'm with you Doc, I follow a lot of these cases and post here but would never call in a hunch or tip based on theory simply because I trust LE to know their job and they do but often times the public under estimates them. I think in cases where the reward is higher more people are prone to call in what they think may be good info in hope of getting a reward.

Then you have pranks and the possibility of the perp calling and giving misleading info too. All in all this article sounds very negative to me because valuable resources are being wasted. I did find the statement about people calling in as psychics very interesting and think that the perp might do this too.

Thanks BeyondBelief for posting the Orlando Sentinel article. Most interesting! (I've been so busy today that my newspaper is still in the driveway! <groan>)

I have to agree with Doc & Strach on the calls coming in. Drew Kesse keeps emphasizing for anyone to call in a tip even if they think it's not important. I know how desperate he feels and his heart is in the right place. However, with a $115,000. reward constantly mentioned - every Tom, Dick, Harry and psychic is calling in their "suggestions" for locating Jen.

It's overloading the capabilities of Crimeline & the respective LE depts. They DO want "tips" - real tips - but, not a plethora of suggestions on how to do their job.

There is information that LE has that is not being released to the public & the media. Most of what is released are fairly insignificant 'daily human interest tidbits' to keep the story alive & in the public eye. If LE released all they know - it would be detrimental and counter-productive to finding Jennifer.

Personally, as much as I hate to say it - I do not believe Jen will be found alive. I completely understand her parents need to believe otherwise. I'm sure I would too if I were in their place. People - as in friends, neighbors, volunteer searchers, off-duty LE personnel & firefighters, church groups, etc are far more likely to stay engaged in the search and handing out flyers if the concept is that "Jennifer is alive".

As a side note - it was reported this evening that the tipster, who thought Jen was being held in that boarding house last weekend when the police conducted the raid, mistook Jen for a local prostitute that looks like her.

Also - in an additional film clip played a few minutes ago ... Travis Bourguignon, who is here helping with the search, said that he felt Jen's disappearance was partly his fault for leaving behind his cell phone and asking her to overnight it. He must feel absolutely horrible. :(

I've missed quite a bit here today.

Thanks for the article, and the update from the local news too. :) You Guys and Gals are great!

But, I hated reading where Jennifer was going to over-night the package. Her missing makes some sense tho as compared to being out during the day and disappearing. Cause I kept thinking, why wouldn't she scream, carry on, yell, run etc and if she did, someone would've witnessed something, if on the way to work in the morning.

Oh boy, this is devastating news, if this is what she decided to do. And that poor guy.

Hmm can't believe the Joran news, thanks for the heads up there too.

I actually disagree that she went out that night, or at least not that night to send out the phone. I see that she used the term "overnight," but then told Travis he'd have it in a day or two. To me that means she planned to send it out the following day for him to have in a day or two following that. I think the term "overnight" is used widely in general when someone is using express delivery, but I don't think it necessarily means she meant to do it that night overnight. I also don't really think her nightclothes would have been on the bathroom floor or her outfits laid out on the bed prior to her going out somewhere. Although I guess it's possible she could have been in her nightclothes picking out what to wear the following day and on a whim decided to redress and go send the phone. Has anyone heard whether her clothes she'd worn to work Monday had been found in the condo?
