FL - Jennifer Kesse, 24, Orlando, 24 Jan 2006 - #14

JAN 25, 2025
On the anniversary of her disappearance, Jennifer’s father Drew Kesse joined NewsNation’s “Banfield” to share how he feels her case was mishandled and explain how NASA got involved in the search.

“FDLE, finally after 18 years, got involved, and it took them a little while to get going, but boy, they’re going now,” Kesse said. “But they are truly putting all the resources that they have towards trying to find out what happened to Jennifer, and we couldn’t be more grateful. It’s, been too long.”

Jennifer Kesse disappearance: How NASA is helping aid the search | Banfield

I have followed this sad case from week one. How does it ever get solved?
No crime scene.
No witnesses.
No physical evidence.

Nineteen years and counting. What could they be working on?
Could it be solved from a tip? If the theory on the recent People magazine story is accurate (that multiple construction/maintenance workers were living across from her and one/more than one of them is responsible) then maybe someday one of them will talk and someone will provide a tip? Such a big reward though. If no tip yet, will there ever be? MOO

I had to read that Newsweek article a couple times...It sure is cagey. So, they found hairs and a hundred fingerprints? Hopefully new DNA technology can lead to a suspect..... Very exciting news, imo.

The evidence is with the car. It was moved. All it takes is one hair follicle. Someone other than Jennifer drove that car.

There is video of the person who drove the car. It hasn't helped. As far as I remember the car was disposed of early on. It was leased. It didn't yield much evidence if any.
It is believed the POI spent a little time wiping the car down.

IMHO this is what a botched investigation looks like.

Sorry if the answer to this question is common knowledge, but how is Drew, Jennifer’s brother who did not live there, able to know with certainty that workers were not living in a condo in Jennifer’s building? How would he know that with certainty? How could anyone ever know something like this with 100% certainty? Condo complex denies it? He didn’t see it? Workers said they went living there? Semantics? Living there vs. occasionally crashing there? I just wonder…
Someone would have saw something. If people were living in one of the empty its in her building then they’re would be signs of it. These condos were searched quickly after she went missing.

This is not true. No workers lived in her building.

They haven’t said if what they found belongs to the perp or poi. For all we know it was unrelated to the crime.

The car needs to be gone through with a 2025 DNA fine tooth comb. All it takes is one hair follicle.
I don't think it would bring up anything after all this time ? Although it might shake the tree a bit, suspect wise ?

random thought re the POI and the camera image changing clothing colours, could the strangely big black shoes actually be white trainers/basketball shoes or similar ?

The workers would be tongue-tied in their own best interest, but perhaps an ex-girlfriend/ex-wife knows more to it and one day will tell. Hopefully she will help the investigation with her statement. MOO

Will the clearer image produced by NASA be released? Is JK's vehicle the crime scene?
I thought Pat Brown (profiler) theory was interesting about the pizza shop/worker. Seems the focus has always been on construction workers, which I can certainly understand why, but why isn't anyone looking at the nearby pizza shop? Maybe they have... moo

From the article:
NASA was able to produce a clearer image, providing a partial profile of the suspect, who wore clothing typical of a painter or some kind of worker.

Could the large ungainly black shoes on the poi not actually be black, or even shoes ? trainers of some sort ?

What with the camera changing colours and all ?

Thinking about her today. The more I look at the still shot from the video, the less I see the "painter" or workers clothes. I actually see a man wearing khakis, a white t shirt, and a backwards baseball hat. I've always seen the "painter" until today. Odd, but maybe just a trick of my mind. I really want this one solved, her poor family has worked so hard to bring her home.

Recent interview of Drew

*doesn’t want to make it easy to contact him and wants people to go out of their way to reach out

*8 people on St Croix trip with her and Rob, she called Drew 3 times while in St Croix

*came home Sunday night from Ft Lauderdale (8 min mark)

*notified 1.5 hours after she didn’t show up, her phone went straight to voicemail for first time ever

*met police at 1 pm on Tuesday in Orlando

*was on corners of streets passing out flyers by 4 pm Tuesday

*knock on door Monday night when she was talking to her friend between 6:30 and 7. She didn’t answer and told friend it was neighbor. Cops interviews neighbor but it was a shallow interview and not extensive.

*phone manually disabled Monday night via battery removal. It wasn’t destroyed and it didn’t run out of battery.

*said it was Travis that left phone

*manager wanted to date her and he thinks she had a conversation with him over lunch. Drew doesn’t think Jennifer knew he was married because she didn’t mention it.

*haven’t seen footage from 1 HOTG camera

*hasn’t seen a lot of the videos turned over to them because he doesn’t have a way to watch them

The knock on door is completely different from what he said in years gone by ? Ie was a different night ??

Also that’s different re battery removal also ?

Nothing seems to be accurate or consistent in this case :-/

Marky, It's been a few years since I looked at IR images and commented on them, but in general dark could be washed out light and light could be greenish, but I didn't see anything that would reverse colors of white to black. I have suggested this in years past to no avail, but stills of 3 or 4 other people walking by that gate and stills of the police test they did where they saw their uniforms lightened would shed a lot of light on what the camera does to colors and shapes for that matter as there is distortion in the image such as from fisheye for example. It is unfathomable that this wasn't done and the effects publicized to help the public attempt to identify.

Regarding her phone battery, there is a long history of statements fairly specific and technical, then denied and retracted, and now back towards original in saying battery was removed and wasn't destroyed or run out, which indicates a technical analysis of signals by phone company which we were told was done, but subsequently overall publically dismissed. I don't know what specific indication in tower signals indicates the battery was removed versus phone smashed or dumped in water or battery running out at that time, and I spent a lot of time many years ago researching the subject but next to nothing publically available on the signalling analysis that I could find.

They look like non slip restaurant shoes. And a chefs outfit. Possibly has hair in a hairnet to leave no physical evidence behind in the car.

I think the car is the key as well as the workers...The company that hired them must have something on file regardless of the status of citizenship.
