January 31, 2026 lengthy article.

'One of the most frustrating moments in the investigation came early, when surveillance footage captured an unidentified person parking Jennifer’s car and walking away. Because the camera recorded only one frame every three seconds, the person’s face was blocked by a fence post in every image.'

''Drew said FDLE has also revisited DNA evidence using technology that was not available during the original investigation, expanding testing beyond what could be done in 2006. He said investigators are using modern analytical tools, including artificial intelligence, to help reanalyze evidence and information tied to Jennifer’s disappearance. Other DNA evidence is being tested for the first time, he said, although progress can be slow. He said they are still waiting on DNA results from testing more than two years ago.''

It at least shows us the person is skinny with a posture that could be recognized (better than nothing).

I still think if the dog was correct and this person walked back to the same condo building that is the biggest key to the case. No one would be that stupid to go back to her building approximately 5 hours after the fact unless you lived or worked there.

The poi was walking briskly (unconcluded calculated it and it would take him right under 15 minutes to walk a mile if he was able to maintain the current speed) so I think they may be leaned forward like that because of his quick gate. It may not be the usual posture.

Another reason the poi may have returned to Mosaic is to retrieve their vehicle. Maybe Jennifer had a visitor and they left in her car at some point. It’s unclear where the dog lost its track, but if the report is correct it was lost in the parking lot, then I think that indicates the poi got into a vehicle. They’ve given a few locations that the dog lost its track so I’m not confident it was lost in the parking lot. The scent being lost in the parking lot makes more sense that it being lost at the stairs or bush. At least I can logically explain the scent ending in the lot lol.
