I just think that no one knows truly how they will react in a situation until they are placed in one. For example, I can say that if someone holds a gun to me, that I will try to run away zig zag etc as it is hard to get a shot if im not going straight. Also, if I'm forced ino my car and made to drive, then i cant say that i would intentionally get into an accident.
I think its the same when someone goes missing. You dont necessarily know what the proper procedure is. Before Jenn went missing, I didn't lock my car doors unless I thought I was in an unsafe area. After she went missing, I lock my doors the second I get into the car. I've discusse with my boss and coworkers when to get concerned if I havent called or showed up to work, set up a check in plan with friends and family.
I think that when they were told that Jenn didnt show up to work they didnt think she had been abducted but rather was hurt in her own apartment (i.e. fell in the shower, etc) so when they found out her door was locked and car was gone, it appeared that she had just gone to work.
I truly think that there are things that LE should have done (i.e. release the full video of the suspect the second they had it!!!) but I definitely do not feel the Kesse's did anything wrong in their search for Jennifer other then have faith in LE which is what ordinary prudent people have unless they have either been a victim of a crime or know someone who has.
