It has been clearly established that the person who was videotaped leaving the area of her car wasn't Jennifer dressed as a male, correct?

  • #262
Yes it has been established that that was not Jenn in the survelliance footage

One of the things that has stuck with me Bobby, is that Mrs. Kesse makes a very important point I had not considered previously in a recent interview.

When addressing the "poor quality" of the Video and stills of the POI, she is adamant.. "If there is a person out there who watches that tape, and they actually know this individual, ..They will KNOW IT IS HIM.." No enhancements, second guessing.

I completely agree, the gait, the profile, posture, blah blah. Herein lies the problem. If we think this individual may not be English speaking, may not have an associate pool watching CNN, how do we get to that community who very well not even know this video exists, or may have issues with speaking to LE at all? I think it highly possible due to the Patriot Act there are going to be people afraid to come forward just for the deportation possibility. For this reason, I think the focus has to be more on running down the known offender and condo worker as a suspect scenarios, the car mover guy is a long shot at this point.

Mrs. Kesse is a wise lady. The city was papered with flyers. I guess that more than one have recognized him. I still have issues with the thought that someone had this p.o.i. in the video move the car. I would be hard pressed to help even my best friend cover up a crime of this magnitude. I think he is involved, probably with co-conspirators.

Has anyone come up with any info yet on what areas were searched and cleared by dogs? Human searches remain fallible. (God bless the searchers) I would like to go look but do not know what areas are cleared by canine olfactory. I totally trust the dogs.

I was just on the Dateline website and they have a message board, so I'm assuming that's what their site uses instead of a blog. I'm working this weekend (which oddly enough means I have a lot of dead time at the computer, so I think I'll do some searches on their board and try to get a thread or search for a thread on Jen and get it active).

Secondly, I had joined a facebook group about Jen's case...got a notification on the Beacon of Hope Event.

Thirdly, Has anyone looked at the work done on the pics (at the justice for chandra site) wondering what people thought of those??

UCF, thanks for the Beacon of Hope event info. Let's hope that with the reshowing of the CBS show and the upcoming event, maybe someone will remember something. Gaia, I think your scenario sounds credible and yes, I think whoever he is, he is very lucky. Let's just all pray and hope that his luck runs out sooner than later.

So... since it's CBS .. I found this email address [email protected]

This is basically what I sent them. If anyone else wants to make the request.. please feel free to use as much or none of my email as you wish:

Hello,

I understand you're re-running the Jennifer Kesse segment which I think is wonderful. It's tragic that so little has been accomplished in helping this family find peace.

I was hoping that you'd have some type of blog or interactive aspect after running the segment. The more people talk about things the more likely it is someone will find an essential piece of this tragic puzzle.

Thank you in advance for any consideration to this you can provide.

I am fairly new to the search for JK efforts. Is it a secret what areas have been searched and cleared by K-9? Any LE here who can let me know if I approached the lead detective, would he tell me or would I just be a nuisance?

It may not be everyones school of thought but to me, finding her is more important than finding her abductor(s). I am willing to organize search parties of my friends but do not want to waste our time in areas that dogs have cleared. Any help in obtaining this information would be appreciated.

After three years (on Jan. 24th) hundreds of articles have been written about this case.
Hundreds of interviews and news videos are available on the internet for people to look back over and view what evidence or important facts have been released to the public.

While some of it is misinformation (eg. cruise to St. Croix), the important facts are correct and have been discussed at length over the years.

In the beginning of this case some of the well known crime writers across the nation speculated about a possible carjacking.
After the tracking dog tracked back from where the car was discovered at HOTG to Jennifer's assigned parking spot at Mosiac, that ruled out the carjacking theory or did it?

It was also discovered by some early on that there were numerous registered sex offenders living in the area and in particularly at the HOTG complex.

You can read at crimelibrary.com. Chuck Hustmyre wrote an article and I believe Steve Huff also wrote an article. I'll look for Steve's weblink or maybe Steve could stop by and offer his opinion here.

thanks~

Sorry I can't be of more help with this. I'm only aware of general info about searches. I noted that Equusearch helped local investigators search in Nov 2008 - volunteers searched around Texas Ave and Americana Blvd.

Maybe someone else on here can be of more help. I think it's great that you want to help search.

I know the passkey thing has been discussed (probably many times). I just noted several things in the Prospectus doc and Homeowner FAQ, thinking about workers living in units and access to units/keys.
==================
Prospectus, page 10

Restrictions on Use of Units and Common Elements and Alienability

The following is a summary of certain of the restrictions which affect the Units. The Developer, certain related parties, and the Commercial Unit Owner are exempt from many of these restrictions, among others.

Occupancy: Residential Unites may be used only as single-family residences and for no other purpose...

FAQ’s: In order to facilitate access to Units by the Association for the purposes enumerated in this Declaration, it shall be the responsibility of all Unit Owners to deliver a set of keys to their respective Units or to otherwise make access available to the Association for use in the performance of its functions. No Unit Owner shall change the locks to his or her Unit or otherwise preclude access to the Association without so notifying the Association and delivering to the Association a new set of keys or otherwise affording access to such Unit.

So what I get from this had she changed the locks and turned over a new key she would have been back to square one with easy access by the workers?

I had a semi-similar situation once... but was told to hold off on the new locks until they finished the major work. After that we changed our locks (at a pretty cheap rate) en masse.. and then the keys were only availble to the current workers. They suggested it this way because they were using so many outside contractors when we were in a transition state.

The Developer is ultimately accountable for the complex, right?

I guess in general I’m troubled by the lack of security and controls in place when there were tenants living in the complex. They allowed workers to live in the empty units, the tenants had to provide keys which were kept in a key closet, they didn’t track or require workers to have ID badges, there were no security cameras, no 24 hour guard at the gate, a gate that was usually open due to workers coming and going, they didn’t question anyone entering/exiting, etc. I’m sure there were some valuable lessons learned from this.

LE said tracing the workers is extremely difficult and I realize this would be a challenge. I am curious as to the level of cooperation provided by the Developer and Property Management to identify and interview all of the workers (not hired by tenants). Did they fully cooperate and provide assistance? Maybe they did. I am curious about the list LE put together of all workers at the complex – what names do they have, how many are missing or unknown, or marked as “unable to locate,” what interviews took place, did they re-interview everyone after it was released that the picture was a suspect and not a POI, etc.
