A few more snippets...

Ebron, 58, said the State Attorney’s Office kept her and her husband, William Ebron Sr., separate when they questioned the two about their son, William Ruben Ebron Jr., on Thursday after being subpoenaed.

“They asked me a million things," Ebron said. "Angela [Corey] chimed in and read me the law and the riot act. She was doing it with the meanest face I’ve ever seen on anybody. … They were trying to bully me.”

Ebron said her husband’s experience didn’t seem as bad as hers.

“State Attorney Angela Corey had very little interaction with Mrs. Ebron other than to explain what her obligations were and to diffuse Mrs. Ebron’s hostile demeanor,” according to the State Attorney’s Office statement. “There is a record of this interview and that record will show that Mr. Ebron’s interview was conducted by the same prosecutors and Mr. Ebron cooperated with authorities during the interview.”

Wanda Ebron said prosecutors also asked about what looked like a bruise on her 6-month-old grandson’s buttocks. Ruben Ebron is the child’s father. She said the child’s mother was concerned about the mark on the infant. Wanda Ebron, who said she’s a nurse, looked at the mark and told the mother to take the child to the hospital. She said it was determined to be a birth mark.

Wanda Ebron said that based on conversations she’s had with Lonzie’s mother, 25-year-old Lonna Lauramore, her feeling is that the boy is not dead, and she’s hoping and praying he’s OK.

When the Ebrons talked with their son Monday night, he said he was doing fine but that the police want Lauramore to pursue domestic-violence charges so they can keep him in jail if he gets off for Lonzie, according to his mother.

Mrs Ebron defiantly in denial. love the part "they were bullying me". No Mrs e., they were prolly pointing out to you your son killed a baby and you didn't want to hear it.

Because not all men are good men.
Not all moms are good moms.
Women are responsible for many missing babies and children.

Exactly.

There is a posting on the JSO FB web page , I tried to copy link to here but don't know how to do it on ipad. [emoji30]

I guess they still are searching the ponds and woods. Must be info they are pretty sure of. Maybe Lonzie's sister info to LE of what happened.

I don't know of any mother that would want her son or daughter accused of murdering a baby or child. We can only think as mothers how devastating that would be if our child was accused of committing such a horrendous act.

What is the crime? It has yet to be proven. LE think they have a strong case for murder and disappearing a child against RE, but he is still innocent until proven guilty. Has he even been charged with murder yet? So far child neglect from what i can ascertain.
I'm sure he has something to do with it, but not sure yet exactly what. They are still investigating.
I think the point is, there's a big difference between discussing the facts of THIS case versus general discussion of how mothers should vet their boyfriends. Maybe LL did research Ebron's past and decided she was okay with it. Maybe she didn't. THAT is worth vetting.

Maybe LL is covering for him by giving him an alibi.

She claimed she saw lonzie at the laundromat before work. If she didn't then that is covering.
What if she lies by omission, by not telling LE of an incident, a comment, a fave place to hide stuff.
Sad as it is, some women place their men above their kids.

She claimed she saw Lonzie at the laundromat before work. If she did then that is not covering.
What if she ommitted nothing, told LE of an incident, a comment, a fave place to hide stuff?
Sad as it is, some women place their men above their kids, but there is no proof LL has done that in this case, and she may very well be using her relationship with WRE and his parents to help find her son. Staying in contact and on good terms with them would be a smart thing to do if that is her goal (and LE may be helping her to that end).

It's all speculation, and it does not help solve the case. We need facts.
This is why WS has a TOS prohibiting victim bashing, speculating on non-suspects, family members, etc.

Officials with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the officers were there as part of a training exercise in how to conduct thorough searches through wooded areas.
...
Smith said while search training in the Southside was not in any way related to the Lonzie search efforts, the community response team did take advantage of the area for practice -- in case they came across something.
...
While JSO officers continued to improve their search skills Tuesday, members of the community expresses appreciation for the job they're doing. Personal notes were left on the officers' cruisers in the theater parking lot, saying, "Thank you for risking your life for mine."

3 facts:

Lonna, the mother and sole guardian, is ultimately responsible for the well-being of Lonzie.

She made a choice to put innocent Lonzie in harm's way (Ebron & drugs).

I don't feel bad for her and hope she will learn from this.

1 opinion:

I doubt it's only by chance that Ebron's parents brought up 2 outstanding citizens.

What the facts are in this case is that a baby is missing. The bio mom & b/friend are known drug users and have been charged with same previously, with charges still pending a court appearance. The bio mom & b/friend had a court order to stay away from each other because of those drug related charges, which they violated prior to the baby going missing. The b/friend is incarcerated presently on child neglect charges pertaining to this case.
Apart from that i'm not sure of any other "facts", and maybe someone else would like to add to that?

do you just register?

Ebron's record on CORE has him arrested for both Lonzie & his sister. Neglect. Lists them as victims with names redacted but has their ages and the arrest report lists why.

He also lied and lied until the cops showed him phone & video records of his whereabouts that night. He was at the laundromat, gas station, storage unit & "other places". Ebron said he dropped Lonna off & went home with the kids. Some of that is old news.

There's a lot of document images posted there. You have to give an email address to view.

after reading that i dont see why the parents so vehemently defend him, they know he is prone to violence.

Yep its very easy.

Really think news/press need to get more facts from LE on timeline(is it 8pm and beyond or potentially earlier in day?) and the potential search size. (unless they already have given non-public details to non-LE still searching) With no one 'giving it up' so far, finding Lonzie seems to be more important than ever. Think they need to also consider landfill searches of pickups from Thurs(July 23rd) and several days beyond. (hope they kept deliveries set aside for potential inspection)

This is so sad he has not been found yet.

Thinking about that poor baby makes me ill.
I hope a certain someone is looking forward to his hot date with the judge next week.

I find it curious that on Ebron's FB, one of his favorite books is The Confession?

I've got nothing to add. I keep checking back, hoping the thread title has been changed to FOUND. So tragic and frustrating.

Ugh. Still nothing. Can't stop thinking about this baby....
